Very Disapointing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie is not what i expected at all. Since it is a Western, I assumed it would be like Tombstone or Young Guns. There is no action at all in this movie. The same depressing music is played throughout the entire film. Robert Ford is a coward, but, just like the rest of the James Gang (exlcuding Jesse James), they are all uneducated and dumb. They are just a bunch of idiots! It's hard to believe that Jesse James had these men for his "gang". No wonder he got shot in the back of the head. Seriously, who dusts and straightens a picture on the wall when company is over? Is this really how the life of a famous legendary outlaw ended? How do we know Robert Ford isn't making this up to make himself look good (obviously he's not smart enough to begin with)? The entire film was slow, drab, and depressing. It was very hard not to fall asleep during this movie. Like I said before, it is very disapointing to find out that this legendary outlaw was not so great after all.

A real yawner! Wake me when it's over!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Altho I am definitely a fan of Brad Pitt and Jeremy Renner, I am not that fond of Casey Affleck. I can't believe that he got an Academy Award noimnation for his wooden performance in this yawner. His dull, monotone voice really grated on me. This film was far too long and all the principle actors in this dredge seemed as bored as the audience. Knowing full well what the climax was, it was extremely diffucult to sit thru this trainwreck.
