I missed this movie in the theaters when it came out in 1988. I bought a v h s copy in 2002, but somehow I didn't remember much about the film. I'm glad I purchased this 4k version, though. I doubt that the movie has ever looked better than it this version. The film looks amazingly good for one that was made in 1988. Especially noteworthy, aside from the the color of all of the blood shown, is the changing colors of the blob as it eats more and grows bigger. The movie looks great and if you haven't seen it.. but are a big fan of the original version from the 1950's.. I think this version is definitely worth a blind buy. The DTS 5.1 remastered soundtrack here isn't going to blow your speakers out, or wake the neighbors, but it's a solid soundtrack and I think buyers of this disc will be pleased.

I highly recommend getting this 4K if you're a fan of The Blob '88 remake, it has never looked this good. The HDR really pops here, black levels are great, and the picture has so much more detail than the previous blu rays. The audio is really solid as well. All the features from the previous SF blu ray are ported over so there's no need to hang on to that old disc. This is the definitive 4K edition of The Blob.

The transfer to 4k is fantastic. The new artwork on the cover is also reproduced in excellent clarity. Sound and video for this film brought back to setting the film for the first time.

4K version and the Blue Ray version of this movie is awesome! Classic remake to it's original version! I highly recomend this classic remake to everyone who is a fan of it's original movie!

Every now and then it's good to go back to some of the older style horror films and this fits the bill. just fun and enjoyed watching it.

Love the film and am glad to see it in higher quality. Only thing that i wished was a digital code also being available.

If you already watched the blob and if this is your first time watching the blob I highly recommend that you go buy the blob on 4k and there's also a 4k steelbook don't delay because you never know when they could be sold out

Haven't seen this since I was a kid. Watching it in 4k made it look like if was a movie that just came out.
