It’s better than coco but was not put out there like that bummer

Good movie to watch a larius I recommend this very driver

The animation style is very different of any other animated movie (each movie has its own style). But is really about story, culture and spirit of the movie that really stand out. Very entertaining and musical movie. Great family fun movie while you see how beautiful the Mexican Culture is.... (I found this version actually at check out, and at a great discount price $10.00) my daughter was very pleased when she saw that I had bought the movie. (She had asked me if we had this movie on our collection a week earlier)...hahaha funny how things happened....hahaha...

It gets better as you watch it over and over again.

This product is a great buy. The movie is visually beautiful and stunning animation. The story flows with ease and time passes quickly as the characters move across different landscapes keeping your eyes enthralled and your heart enticed. Cheering and laughing about each character makes you feel like you do not want the adventure to end. It is truly enjoyable by all age types. Time will fly but the great part is you get to watch it again and again catching different details and subtleties you didn't see before. I recommend this movie and product combo highly. This is worth the money.

Great movie to watch with the kids and it is funny

When previews for this film came out, my daughter really wanted to see this movie. The fact that it came out on her 6th birthday made it even inevitable that we would see it. I'm glad that we did. I was entranced by the fanciful animation, the music, and the voice cast. But to top it all off was an apocryphal story of death and rebirth - purely amazing! This is not a movie to miss if you you have any interest in metaphysical concepts. This is not to say that children will not enjoy it, but that there are more layers to this movie than your typical children's animated film

The book of life doesn't break new ground in terms of storytelling, but what it does provide is an enjoyable film for the whole family. It has a very unique aesthetic that was kind of refreshing to see because of all the animated films out started to look the same. It really makes good use of its mexican setting and does a great job of showing the culture. And if u couldn't tell by the trailer, this movie deals with the dark theme of death, untypical of family movies. But it deals with it very well. Great movie, my girlfriend was happy with her gift!

When I first heard off this project I was psyched. It seemed to take forever for the finished product to be released... and it was well worth the wait! This is a wonderful tale of love and friendship and the importance of being true to yourself. The Mexican tale it is set over makes it SO much better. The colors (and the contrasting lack of them in the Land of the Forgotten) breathe so much life into the movie. Then there's the voice acting and the musical score... wonderful! Not only did I buy my own copy, I've already bought three more as gifts.

My toddler loves this movie! We have seen it on tonight several times,and the app. we had it on was removed. My daughter cannot live without this movie. When we picked up our computer which we ordered online,we came across this little gem in the store. My daughter adores it,so we did not hesitate to buy it. It is a family film which everyone will enjoy. The music,storyline, characters-just everything is just AMAZING! It you are looking for a movie all ages in the house can enjoy,this is a go-to for us.

If you read most of my reviews for videos you will see that these movies are for my daughter who is around 2 years old. This movie I wasn't expecting much and wanted another movie for the choices for her to watch because I'm tired of watching the same movies over and over again. This movie plot from what I can get is from Spanish or Mexican Folklore. It has some dark sides but it is a kids movie so it's not super scary. If you're expecting a lot, you may be disappointed but if you have an open mind this is a good movie.

I bought this movie on a chance because of the overall exceptional reviews and because it was produced by the great Guillermo Del Toro. I was not disappointed. This movie is an absolute joy to watch, from its creative style (most of the characters are depicted as wooden puppets) to its bright and imaginative imagery to its wonderful story that is both deep for adults and easy for children to grasp. Even if you haven't seen this movie yet, I highly recommend you take a chance as I did and get this incredible family film.

This was a great movie for people of all ages but keep in mind the sugar skull themes might be a tad bit scary for some children (they aren't presented in a scary way and are very artistic). The art direction,animation styles ,plot,music and voice acting in this film are very good... If a child or person likes anything Tim burton related this is a good fit although the tone is a bit brighter in parts... And the movie is a lot more colorful.. I truly loved this movie start to finish...!!!

This was a great movie and fun to watch from the beginning to the end. The animation and colors are among some of the best animated movies I have seen lately. The story is nice and the characters are fun to watch. They all stand out. Above all, the soundtrack and songs are really outstanding. Gustavo Santaolalla did an excellent job on the score. The Blu Ray disc has excellent video and audio presentations as well. I highly recommend the movie to kids and adults. Don't miss it.

I wasn't too excited to see this film at first, I'm glad my wife made me purchase the film. The design and animation is out of this world! Everything looks amazing in 3D. The story is a very true representation of the beliefs and traditions of the Day of the dead. With that being said, it's is a children's movie...so a very fun and learning expiriance side story is aded to the mix. Great soundtrack with modern hit with a Mexican Banda twist. The musical was the highlight.

This was a perfect set. We put the dvd in our collection for our camper and the digital copy went on the Movies Anywhere app and is now on all our smart devices! Wasn’t sure we’d like this movie back when we first watched it (being all the characters are literally wooden puppets) but it’s very well done and a great story.
