I got this because it had Josh Stewart in it and I liked him in other stuff I've seen him in. This movie (and it's sequel 'the Collection') are somewhat reminiscent of the Saw franchise but not on quite the same level. This is a little more low budget. The plot line is loose and there are holes in it. On the other hand the bad guy is just bad, he does what he does because he likes it not because he is trying to teach anyone anything. Read the outside of the box and this film is basically what you see is what you get. Don't expect a lot out of it and you'll enjoy it well enough.

Being that this movie was made by the writers of some of the Saw movies, I loved the traps and gore of the movie. Josh Stewart is great as Arkin, loved him since he was on No Ordinary Family. This is a movie that will fit well in your movie collection whether you are a horror fan or not. I did wish there was more of a back story as to why the Collector is killing people though. But fortunately there is a sequel, The Collection, so maybe it will tie up some of the loose ends.

I was surprised at how much I liked this movie. It actually makes you think a little bit and keeps you guessing and has twists and turns that aren't transparent. Considering it is a horror flick, that makes this an above average movie because more often than not, scary movies are predictable, repetitive and contain buckets of blood just because. The Collector, has a good deal of violence, but it makes sense for the story as it is actually a plot driven movie that you have to pay attention to, so you know what is going on. Very entertaining and innovative movie, that I really enjoyed.

The Collector is a fun and bloody horror film. Despite being reminiscent of the Saw film series, it fortunately manages to carve out its own niche. It may not be the most original horror film in recent memory, but it's entertaining and worth a watch for horror fans.

Great edge of your seat thriller. Now the concept has been done to death, pun intended, but this movie has been done better than most of it's kind. Worth your time if you like movies in the vein of Saw.

As much as I like the Saw series I enjoyed The Collector and The Collection more than most the Saw movies. Fantastic horror movie and I can't wait for the third one!!!

The story line is basically a guy who is need of cash is gonna steal from this family. But little does he know there another predator waiting in the background.

Like the Collector it's all about finding the right prize and for less than seven dollars don't hesitate to add the Collector to your horror movie collection

Was what I expected...nice twists and turns. Followed the slasher movie genre.

I think i paid around $5-$7 for this bluray and i couldnt be more pleased with the price i paid for what i think is a pretty decent horror/scifi flick.

Have always liked this horror movie. It's different and has an awesome fight for survival to the end.

I bought this blue ray disc because I had a $10 coupon that Best Buy emailed me that had to be used within a few days. Between the coupon and free shipping it was basically a free movie. I didn't know what to expect, but the movie turned out to be pretty good. Lots of gore and lots of heart jumping moments. I enjoyed it.

A must watch for horror fans, Then you need to watch the sequel"The Collection " Too bad there wasn't a Trilogy!

The collector stands alone and is one of a kind! This movie stands out from the rest! Great horror film!

Pretty fresh take on the Horror genre. Still can't beat the classics but it's good for modern Horror.

Lots of cool traps. Characters actually have some depth. The alternate ending is incredible.

But enjoyable nevertheless. Gory fun, if you like bloody horror you'll dig.
