As my wife knows, my second favorite movie is The Town and the first is The Departed. Gritty, intense, pulse-pounding. This thing is perfect, from the acting, to the script, to the directing. I love the whole "I'm looking for you while you're looking for me and everyone's looking for all of us" scenario. Beautiful. Martin Scorcese makes a perfect movie with this one. If you don't like language though, probably not the movie for you....

I viewed this movie on a Netflix DVD. It was compelling and thrilling and by the last few scenes I was on the edge of my seat...so you can imagine my horror when the DVD froze and no amount of cleaning would enable me to see the last 10 minutes of the movie. I had to wait a few days to get the Netflix replacement DVD. Netflix came through for me, but it's nice to have my own copy of the movie.

The entire cast of this movie are just fantastic, Scorsese hot the nail on the head when he put this lot together, seeing 2 sides of the police force, the corruption and the toll it takes being under cover. iIf you have not seen this then i urge you to stop reading and go watch it!

Scorsese is very much hit or miss, mostly hit when he can go all-cylinders with editing and camera work and let loose some great actors on a solid screenplay, and this fires on all of em. This should be a case study for anyone interested in film.

Another good movie in the realm of Goodfellas and Casino. Brutal at times but exciting.

This is a fast moving and violent movie. The characters are all 3 dimensional and the stories of the 2 main characters, Di Caprio and Damon, are both interesting and very human. All the other actors are great too. You won't guess the ending.

The one-liners, the violence, the constantly shifting plot and action. All hallmarks of the great Scorsese, and this is easily one of his best. And THAT is really saying something. Get out there and see this movie, it will not disappoint.

I am very happy that I recently purchased The Departed (Blu-ray Disc) from Best Buy. I got a great movie at a very reasonable price. If you haven't seen it, you'll love it. If you've already seen it, then you know I'm telling the truth.

Excellent by Dicaprio, Damon and Nicholson. Boston cop with a bad rep goes under cover to invade the Irish mob. It seems more like the mafiosa but it convincing. Much like LA CONFIDENTIAL but transplanted to east coast. Its not the GODFATHER or GOODFELLAS. Characters keep you in the mix until the standard ending not a lot of surprises except for the bad guys.

The Departed is one of my favorite, top 10 movies of all time. A must buy for any movie lover. Leonardo, Mark Walberg, and Matt Damon all deliver, including Mr. Jack Nickolson! A must buy!!!

Again. Got it for my hubby birthday. Great movie. I'm happy that best has this movie.

While not as tight in storytelling as Goodfellas and Casino, this is still a worthy entry into the world of mobsters. Great audio and video although I wish there were more extras about the filmmaking process. Highly recommended!

Every actor in this movie does an awesome job but Jack Nicholson steals the show. I you like crime movies, this one is a must have.

Like an emotional labyrinth with an amazing cast. If you have time and like movies, also check out the original Japanese film this is based on called Infernal Affairs. Fascinating to watch together.

The Departed starring Dicaprio and Affleck is one of the best films of all time in my opinion. Non stop action. Twists and turns it he storyline keep you hooked. But the steel case edition is great for any collector.

I ordered this DVD. Price was right! I ordered a second DVD at the same time and I believe that I was charged a certain price for shipping on EACH. That's fine...must be a flat rate as they arrived in the same package. :)

A star studded cast including Damon, DeCaprio, Nicholson, Wahlberg, Sheen, and Baldwin prove well deserved for Best Picture honors as well as director Martin Scorsese! A fantastic crime/mole drama for the ages!

Ever since this movie came out i have enjoyed if. Scorsese is typically never a let down. Cast for this was perfect and Jack, just knows how to play the bad guy you love to hate.

Buying movies that won't be out anymore with great actors! Watch them free and without commercials, and when I want it!!! Love it!
