Excellent blu ray full screen reproduction and sound. Great movie-have not seen since it came out!

No limit of handsome men....Clint Walker, Jim Browne, Charles Bronson, Trini Lopez, great.

This film is not to be missed. Actors are great as is the plot. Video quality very good with fast, free delivery.

The Blu-Ray gets 4 stars because the movie Home screen does not contain a chapter/scene search function for the movie. Upon inserting the BR disc into my BR-player, the movie begins automatically. I was surprised that the Home screen didn't appear. It was once I used my remote to view the Home screen that i discovered the movie did not have the feature allowing one to jump from scene to scene. You can still use the remote when viewing the movie. Other than that, the Blu-Ray comes with great features along with sequel to the TV-movie made in the mid-late 1980s. Hollywood doesn't make movies like this anymore. You're immediately drawn in once it begins. The team's formation and training is just as entertaining as the raid on the Chateau.

Warner Brothers has made up for the long wait for a good DVD edition of The Dirty Dozen. This two-disc package is excellent, a major improvement on the previous release. Image quality: A new transfer to anamorphic video. The image is great--very sharp and clear, giving all due emphasis to the gritty quality of the story. In some shots you can see every pore on Lee Marvin's face. A little frightening, I suppose, but worth it. Sound: Very good. The Dirty Dozen won the Oscar for Best Sound Effects, and this DVD's sound does the film justice. Special features: Surprisingly good for a film as far-removed in time as this. The highlight, for me, was the commentary on the film by a few of the surviving actors, a film historian, and Cpt. Dale Dye of Warriors, Inc. Dye's salty commentary is the real jewel of the features on this edition. It's nice to see a movie I've loved since childhood getting the DVD it deserves. If you've been waiting for this DVD--or even if you haven't--pick it up as soon as you can. Highly recommended

I think that "The Dirty Dozen" was one of the greatest classic war/action films of all-time and it was also one of my favorite war/action films of all-time. I have seen and enjoyed this film several times and I also think that "The Dirty Dozen" had a lot of entertaining, exciting and enjoyable action, mystery and suspense including an exciting and original storyline.

Lee Marvin...Charles Bronson...John Cassavetes...Jim Brown...do I need to say more? A WWII film made during Vietnam, there's a clear message being conveyed about the then-political climate. A total guy movie. If you find a woman that likes this one, she's a keeper.

The cast is first rate and there is no showboating or cutesy banter. Classic war movie with enough humanity to care about outcomes. One of the few movies I didn't find myself getting up and pausing to get something to eat or just take a break ..

This is a older movie that I originally saw in a movie theater and was delighted when I was able to purchase it from BestBuy at a good price so my wife, who has not seen it, can watch it anytime we want.

This is one of my all time favorite movies. A Major with an attitude problem and a history of getting things done is told to interview military prisoners with death sentences or long terms for a dangerous mission; To parachute behind enemy lines and cause havoc for the German Generals at a rest house on the eve of D-Day.

This is the type of movie to be considered something a family could view. It is showing how the war really was and was not "sugar-coated". It shows war and what happens, not just killing for killing sake as some of the newer films portray.

This movie was very good!! Great group of actors and a strong storyline with a pretty good amount of action. Definitely worth seeing if you’re into war type movies.

A classic WWII film. Lots of fun, lots of action, and lots of extras. The second disc is bustling with all sorts of goodies, including a full movie (the first sequel) The Next Mission. It's lots of fun, and a great buy.

Classic movie. The Blu-ray picture is outstanding, the sound track is average. The included sequel is in 4:3 and is a not as good on any dimension.

One of my favorite all time war movies. Great acting and great story line

For an old movie, this cast does a great job of holding your attention and entertaining the audience. A must see oldie for young and old.

This one has both the original movie and the sequel so it's about as complete as you will get. VQ is great for both and the movie is fun as well. You won't regret owning it, it's star-studded.

Great retread from my childhood as military brat in Germany. I have greater appreciation for the characters now that I am older and enjoy watching quality acting. Lee Marvin, and Clint Walker - meowr.
