Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the gameplay, citing it as fabulous and fun with excellent graphics. Many also appreciate the vast amount of content and the expansive open world, although some experienced occasional lag depending on internet connection. While the story is considered good, a persistent concern is the requirement of an internet connection to play.

I was not sure what to expect from this game. I loved Skyrim and I love World of Warcraft so this seemed right up my alley, but reading the reviews for the computer release got me kind of discouraged. I think the computer users were the beta testers for the game and got all of the kinks worked out because this game is wonderful on the PS4. It definitely isn't for everyone but if you like Skyrim or MMORPG's I would give it a try. There is so much that you can do in this game that for a one time purchase you are getting tons of value out of it.

This game is not Skyrim which a lot of people thought it would be. This is an incredible addition to the Elder Scroll line of games and I am already hooked. I feel like I have been playing this game for a long time and I've barely scratched the surface. The game play is incredible and it's nice to have a challenging game.

I was a big fan of Skyrim and was excited when I read that it was going to transition into an online game. I bought ESO for the computer first with some friends but then got pulled back into WOW. Recently I bought a PS4 and saw this game. I bought it and fell in love with the MMO all over again. In the Crown store, you can even pay (with real money) to become a werewolf or vampire. If you know someone in the game, they can turn you for free. If you liked Skyrim but wished you could play with friends, I would recommend this game.

Do yourself a favor and buy this on PC. PROS: The game has held true to the Elder Scrolls lore, continuing the story onward in the same style as all previous games. Zenimax is now using a Free-Play-After-Onetime-Purchase model, which is nice. For those that want free access to all upcoming DLC packs, you can pay a monthly subscription fee. For those that don't have a subscription, just pay some real-time money to purchase the DLC. CONS: If you buy this game for PS4, be warned!!! Sony requires you to buy a $50/year Playstation Plus membership in order to play online MMOs. That is the only way you are going to play the game on the PS4. Additionally, Zenimax borrowed heavily from other games for their MMO, so don't expect anything original that you won't see in another MMO that was out there long before ESO. I have yet to find a single original system in this game.

I am a fan of this series and being able to play with a friend makes this one worth getting. It has a single player play through but is more fun with others. I haven't gotten too far in the pvp but this is a solid game. If you're not an Elder Scrolls fan but late curious, this is probably one you want to pick up used.

    First MMORPG

I'm a big fan of Skyrim, and for my first MMORPG experience, I'm pleasantly surprised. The transition wasn't as jarring as I thought it would be. The world feels different but in a good way. The map is obviously a lot bigger but you don't feel smaller or insignificant. Every area is dripping with detail. Yes, it's a bit distracting when other players are inserting themselves in your quests but it's also kind of more realistic - who says you're only ever the solo hero? That said, the game does make you feel like you can fully enjoy a solo experience if you want. Also, big big bonus in not having to have a paid subscription to ESO to play (just PS Plus). My biggest critique would be that the battle system, while more diverse and complex in its strategy, feels overly simplistic once executed. In other words, that feeling when you spend a lot of time customizing and preparing for battle, but really all you kind of have to do is button-mash in the general direction of the enemy and heal frequently.

So this game is massive. There are hundreds if not thousands of quests. Although the servers have had issues they are for the most part working perfect now and loading times are really fast. It can get really repetitive playing by yourself since you run around a lot to do the quests but if you have friends to do them with it makes it so much better. The multiple is a blast and you can have siege equipment and destroy castle walls and its just really fun. Overall I love this game and it should provide hundreds of hours of gameplay.

I bought this game based on previous play of Skyrim. It meets those expectations for sure, however, in order to get the most from gameplay you really do need to buy Crowns (in game currency) which will run about $20-150 more at minimum on top of the game cost for real in-game advantage. All the while, still fun.

I have had a lot of fun with this game. It has a lot of similar elements from previous ES games such as setting and gameplay. Playing with friends and enjoying the story is a ton of fun and the content keeps coming from Bethesda. No subscription fee also means you are free to stop and continue playing at will.

I've played ESO on my computer since beta and have veteran level characters. Its a similar experience on my console but feels a little different. It's still the smooth open world game. What I find with my console is I spend less time crafting and farming. Being a console I naturally want to spend more time fighting and exploring. Biggest thing I miss is the add-ons. If they find a way to give me crafting and map add-ons I would probably play this version more than the PC. If you like Elder Scrolls you probably like this.

Long awaited ESO for PS4 finally comes out and I'm able to join in on the fun. Good character development. Good story lines. I bit repetative ( smash enemy, talk to people, solve a quest, smash again... ) but the graphics and free will to do whatever is fun. Also, the anchors from the Daedra are awesome.

Graphics aren't the best but it's a pretty decent MMO that doesn't charge and has a big story involved. Other players do ruin the experience at times by just randomly dropping in and being a higher level but enjoying it nevertheless.

ESO TU on the PS4 was a great buy. If you have a ton of free time this game is great. The only thing I had an issue with was when it came out was the server issues, which have now been resolved. If you are looking to get involved with a highly intensive game I would recommend this to you.

Never played a real MMO before this, now I can safely say I am hooked! Put in about 25 hours so far and the game is spectacular. Aside from the rare online disconnection or lag, the engine performs well and the game is nearly seamless when changing from one location to the next. If you're an Elder Scrolls fan, you will certainly enjoy this. While technically am MMO, the quest line can be completed with or without friends or partners. Certainly worth a look for a Skyrim or Morrowind fan.

This game is packed with content and I do like the Elder Scrolls series. Sometimes it can get a bit overwhelming. The best part is no online subscription to pay for so you can jump in and out without worrying about wasting 15 bucks a month and not using it.

Was a fan of the elder scrolls so i decided to take the dive and purchase this game. Its not elder scrolls but more like destiny in the sense that you just do mind numbing mission to level up you character. The reason this game is good to me is because i like mind numbing games...
