Skyrim Switch
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s Skyrim need I say more. I got this to play Skyrim while I’m on the go and it’s amazing. I was unsure how the port will be on the switch hand held but it held up well.

An excellent port.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although the Nintendo Switch version of Skyrim is more similar to last-gen's PS3 and Xbox 360 versions than the PS4 and Xbox One's "Enhanced Edition," its portability makes it the best version available if you find yourself playing your console away from home. It runs great (even better than the PS3 and 360's version) and the addition of motion controls and The Legend of Zelda weapons and armor are enough to give the game a 4th or 5th playthrough. If you've never experienced Skyrim, this is an easy sell. If you're familiar with it already, then know that all of the crafting and farming is significantly easier on a handheld than it is tethered to your TV or PC.

It's Portable Skyrim. What else do you need?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No third party games should be off the table now that large experiences like this and Breath of the Wild are able to be taken on the go. Yes, the game is 6 years old. But it finds new life on the Switch in ways I'd never expect.

Bring an Entire World With You
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With one of the biggest and most immersive games out there, Skyrim is a time sink game. It's something that rewards you when you explore every little thing. But some of us live busy lives and can't just sit around all day. But the Switch lets you bring the world with you and either on the go or just when you're in another room or want to watch tv. You can do fetch quests and tedious tasks while doing other things and the nature of the Nintendo Switch lets you pick it up and pause it whenever you want. This is the perfect game to have on the Nintendo Switch and it will give you hundreds of hours to exploring!

SKYRIIIIIIIIIIIM!!!!!!!!!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'd like to start by saying I already owned the original and remakes on pc; this is my favorite version. Looks wise it's about the same as original skyrim on high settings with the improved water and whatnot of the remaster, but you probably won't notice because it's good enough and you'll be having too much fun. The real winning feature though is the motion controls (aiming your bow, spells, etc), they work very well and make it drastically easier to play with a controller and IMOHO make it better than mouse and keyboard. The gesture controls (swinging a sword, blocking with a shield, etc) are ok... but not enough to make me want to play with joy-cons instead of a pro controller. I wish I could mod it (unofficial patch especially) but it's still REALLY good!

Blast to play portably!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not much needs be said about Skyrim, other than it is one of the greatest games of all time and runs perfectly well on the Switch! So much fun.

Perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game makes total sense for the switch, perfect to just relax and play in hand held while exploring, my only complaint is that archery on the handheld is very difficult but that's what the dock is for

Magic!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn't think I'd find a game that would be as good as BOTW but this role playing open world game is it! There are so many fun quests to complete and you can either go it alone or have a few followers that help make what seem impossible battles easier. The dialogues are awesome and you should listen to most of them as they are clues to other quests that you should take on to help polish your character. There are a few glitches for the game on the switch - none that make me regret this purchase. Some graphics, some audio, and I've been kicked out a few times for unresolved game errors. After reading a few forums, save your game as often as possible. I have a long way to go before I finish with the character I've chosen. I plan on playing multiple times with different characters to see how the game changes. I've read some parents review of this game and they slam it because you can strip your enemies of their items and OMG - if they have armor you want the bodies are left in their underwear. Are you kidding me? Their kids probably see more on the beach or TV. Sheesh. Clueless. I still can't wait until the next Zelda game is out but I'm happily occupied with Skyrim. FYI - you really should have this game hooked up to a TV because some of the places you go to are VERY dark.

Can't believe it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I played this game on the PC, but there was a bug that caused an issue with my saved game. So I stopped playing the game. I heard it was coming out for the switch, and decided I should just leave it be. However, I was in the mood for a good American style RPG, so bought in again. I am so glad I did. The game runs great, the graphics are good, and it is still Skyrim in its full form as far as I can tell thus far. Only gripe is the text is a little small when in handheld mode, and when in 3rd person view the crosshairs are sometimes over the right shoulder, and sometimes over the left. If you have never played Skyrim and have a switch I would highly recommend this game.

I love it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of my favorite Xbox games now portable on the switch? Yes please! This game is just as good as the previous console versions, and actually loads faster on the switch than on my Xbox.

Switch version is not my favorite
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of my favorite games of all-time and I’ve been playing the PS3 version on and off for the past seven years or so. I was excited that I could buy the Switch version, but there are two issues with it that make the experience unpleasant so I docked 1 star. There are many areas, such as in caves, that are dark. These areas are, of course, supposed to be dark, but on the Switch version they are TOO dark to the point where I literally can’t see what I’m doing most of the time, even when screen brightness is turned to 100%. There’s no other way that I’m aware of to change the settings on the Switch. On the TV I use the “Vivid” setting but I never had this problem with the PS3. Sure I can use a torch, but it’s really inconvenient and not always possible. The other thing is that I found the controls and camera movements to be too loose. The slightest touch of the sticks makes the camera move around too much and it is giving me literal headaches. Again, I didn’t have this issue with the PS3.

Skyrim on a handheld, how Awesome!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was hesitant to purchase this only due the $60 price tag for a fairly old game. I was however someone who had not played the original on PS3 or 360 and knew this game had a ton of content so I purchased it anyway. I'm very glad that I did as Skyrim is a very fun game. The fact that this large of a game can now be played on the Switch in handheld mode is so much fun. If you are a fan of this series and have not played it then I recommend it completely. If you have played a lot if it elsewhere than it might not be for you but I must say the handheld aspect is the best feature by far. I hope we get some more large western RPG's for the switch!!

A little wonkie in controls, but it's fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son put in about 20 hours on a road trip, and this kept him occupied the whole time. His only complaint was that spells and arrows were hard to work with unless you separated the controllers from the screen, which is hard to do in a car. Otherwise, he's happy with the game, and his playing it on his second platform (he did it on PC before).

Portable Skyrim is a Dream Come True
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Skyrim was one of my favorite games when it first came out. I played it for over 200 hours on my Xbox 360. And so when Nintendo announced that Skyrim was going to be released on the Switch, I knew that I was going to take a plunge into Tamriel once again! I haven't been disappointed since. The Switch adds so many new functions to the game that my purchase feels completely warranted. Motion controls and amiibo functionality are great. But most importantly of all, it is awesome to play Skyrim on the go! I can start a quest on my TV while at home, pause the game when I have to leave, and pick up where I left off while I'm out and about.

Great Port
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my third time buying Skyrim and it may be my favorite version. It feels just as immersive as it did on the Xbox 360 or the Xbox One but now I can take it with me.

Good... with the same few flaws
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is just like its counterparts on other systems plays well (this review is of the switch version and I previously played this on Xbox 360). It still has many of the same glitches from the other version but this does not negatively affect overall game play. Motion controls work well except for the block motion but I prefer using a regular controller anyways. If the convenience of portable play and motion controls are not of interest though it can be found for a lower price on other systems. Battery life is around 3 to 2 hours depending on if the WiFi is on and the brightness of the screen.

Portable.... best benefit yet!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own the original day one release on the PC. I have played it over 200 hours, but I never bought the DLC or got any of the other changes. So for close to the same price (With gamers club) I get the updated version with ALL the DLC. I can't wait to play it again, while on the go, and experience all the new content. Played a few hours so far and I love it. There are things I like about the PC version, but I can play this any where and that is a plus. I have enjoyed BOTW on the go, and will enjoy this as well. My favorite type of game are these exploration type games.

An Excellent Experience!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Calling this game a masterpiece is a overstatement. It has occasional glitches, minor bugs, some clunky controls on combat, but even with all of that it's a whole lot of fun. Definitely a must play for action/adventure RPG fans. As far as Switch features, the motion controls are what you'd expect. However the ability to use the motion controls of either the joycon or pro controller to make minor adjustments on your aim is very helpful. Doesn't work quite as well as Breath of the Wild but it's good. Graphics are quite good and the frame rate is very solid.

Skyrim, but mobile
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've loved Skyrim for years and years. In fact, Skyrim is what got me into gaming in the first place, really. I got it really cheap for PC probably 6 years ago and have been in love ever since. I've played through time and time again, but always come back. Super excited to have it on my Switch now so I can play it anyhwere I go. This is a great port too. It's obviously not as "pretty" as Skyrim on PC or Xbox One X, but it's not supposed to be, as the Switch isn't meant to have ground-breaking graphics. All in all, it's great if you love Skyrim.

Excellent port
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This an excellent port of an excellent game. Graphics are amazing weather in the dock or if you use the switch as a portable device. Contains all three of the previous expansions making this a decent deal, especially if you are a Gamers Club Unlocked member. I won’t go into the details of the game, since it is actually an older game that has been ported to the Switch. But it plays fantastic on the Switch and is worth it if you have played it on other systems and loved it, or if you somehow have never played it you should give it a try.
