I wasn't sure if I wanted to waste my time playing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on the Nintendo Switch. But after playing for many hours, this is an awesome port with all of the DLC. It really is impressive in handheld mode

    Well, it's Skyrim.

It's Skyrim; not that much has changed since 11/11/11, but because it's on the Switch that means NO ACHIEVEMENTS which is a big relief from the shoulders of someone who would feel guilty for not joining a group because I'd always have a reminder that I didn't. All in all I think that the lack of the Skyrim Achievements makes the game better because you truly get to play Skyrim how you want (barring mods) at your own pace.

this game is so much fun and the fact that you could take it on the go now is incredible. Who would have thought that you could play Skyrim while flying from one state to the other?! I highly recommend it.

Yet another Skyrim release but this one’s worth it

Bethesda has a habit of releasing a new version of Skyrim rather than an actual new game, and it’s annoying. That being said, the Special Edition is so much better optimized (and better looking) than the original — and on the Switch it’s finally truly portable! Be aware though that it does take longer to load than any other version I’ve ever played… noticeably so, but not enough to be a huge issue for me.

I used to play this on Xbox and now I have a switch. I haven’t even downloaded any other games because I’ve been playing this so much.

Previously played this game on the PS4, and really love being able to play it portably on the Switch. The graphics look great. My only complaints are that it drains the battery quite a bit, (pretty much the same as Breath of the Wild) and at times the two handed combat is slightly slower than one handed. Definitely recommend this title though, for lovers of Skyrim, it's awesome to have a game like this on a handheld.

If you are a fan of Skyrim or looking for a game that can offer you hundreds of hours of game play then get this portable copy of Skyrim. I had almost forgot how much I enjoyed Skyrim and now I don’t have to leave it at home.

I’ve played Skyrim for years and can’t believe it still holds my attention. Having the ability to play on the go is awesome. Obviously the graphics in docked mode are not as eye catching as Xbox or PS4, but it holds up well.

Probably one of the best games ever released on any platform. Like a direct port from the ps5 and Xbox versions.

Skyrim feels like too much game to be contained in such a small portable system. Being able to just put the Switch to sleep and jump back in makes it an even more compelling open world game to fall into for long periods of time. Only con is it still feels a little stiff with such a small field of view, but it was always that way on any non-PC platform.

Honestly, I love Bethesda games. But they are NOTORIOUS for their software glitches. The DLC which comes free with the game DOES NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. I literally have to use yet another glitch to start my quests with vampires. So when you need to use an exploit to bypass a glitch that CLOSES THE FRONT DOOR FOREVER, it makes you wonder if the game is good? Yes, it still is, somehow.

I played Skyrim on PC when it first came out, and it was wonderful then. Simple but engaging RPG gameplay. Having it available on a portable system like the Switch makes it a whole new experience. Worth every penny!

If you’ve played it on other systems now it’s mobile on the switch. Pretty good graphics considering previous versions have been on home consoles. Lots of fun to play now that’s it’s mobile! Award winning classic RPG

What can I say? It's Skyrim (non-SE) on the switch. Literally. Sadly, it doesn't have support for mods, but very enjoyable nonetheless.

I played this on PS3 since day 1 and then on PS4 and now on switch you might be thinking ugh...but trust me playing skyrim on the go brings new life to this old game.

Game that will probably not be completed 100% because of the ton of content it has to offer. But to take advantage of this it is necessary to ignore the story once in a while and explore, which not everyone will like. The graphics are not the best (it is to be expected from an old game) and the lack of mod usage will hurt a bit for players who are looking to get into the game once again.

I have always wanted to finish this game, but I don’t want to take over the tv for that long. Now that I can play it on a handheld is great. The game still plays great. Only downside is it is a real battery drain.
