I got the DVD version first. Then bought the Blu Ray version a few months ago. What a difference on a 4K TV. And not that much more expensive either. Best Buy is one of the few places that has the blu ray available. I tried ordering it from Amazon first, but it was coming from the UK and after waiting for a month for it to arrive, it never got here. The BB blu rays come from the US and arrive very quickly. The show is very good and crazy. Many subplots going on all at the same time and all come together at the end of the season.

I love the books the series is based on, its a wonderful show.

It's fun to finally see some great sci-fi coming from SyFy. Their last few shows have been a breath of fresh air, They are spending money on good effects as well and most importantly, on solid writers and actors who can deliver the goods. This is based on a series of books - think a mashup of elements of Dune, Game of Thrones and Outland. You get a lot of cool space battle action, some political intrigue from the different forces at play and a genuinely interesting space romp/mystery to unravel. Tone-wise it shares some DNA with Babylon 5 and Battlestar Galactica (The reboot) ... I recommend catching this if you have a chance!

I was shopping for some sci-fi when I ran across this series. I had heard just a smattering of comments, so I took a chance and bought the DVD. Can't wait to get the second season. This is a realistic depiction of how space travel and life in space could be like. And more importantly, the science fiction is grounded in solid science, based on today's technology with some realistic extrapolations. Don't get me wrong, I'm also a fan of Star Trek, but no transporters here. Solid science and a realistic depiction of society and personalities

The cover of season 1 made me curious to watch and wow, I was addicted. I end up staying up late each night to watch as many chapters and take it all in. Probably one of the best Sci-Fi show in a while and good special effects. I don't recognize majority of the cast and that actually helped make it more believable. I can't wait for season 2 and 3.

This show mixes believable social advancement of a near-future Earth with just a hint of the fantastical. High production value and compelling action. I appreciate the producers paid attention to details in ship design and let the writers create memorable characters who seem very organic. I bought seasons 2 & 3 after watching the first 3 episodes. This an excellent sci-fi show and is a must-watch if that is a genre you like

Just as good as it was when I watched it on TV. I will watch it many times.

After reading many reviews and seeing the item, spending a little extra may help the operational longevity. It is the right size for my family, and hunting deep in to a chest is a thing of the past. I do want to get another large bin to help keep bagged veggies from sliding off. Note: The manufacturers instructions are a little odd as they have instructions for all versions. Be prepared to 'extract' what you need from the all-purpose booklet. Notably it says the adjustable legs are in the front. I could not adjust the plastic smooth feet in front.

I binge watched all 4 seasons on Amazon in 5 days. Then bought the books. This show is amazing.

I watched this show in its entirety on SciFi. It was so good, I had to get the Blu-ray’s. I was hoping for 4K, but Blu-ray’s still look amazing. It’s got great special effects and just the right amount of cheese. I highly recommend this show if you are a science fiction fan.

This series is a must watch for science fiction fans and anyone wanting a great story. Great actors, stunning production and visual effects, this show has it all. Very faithful to the books, the authors themselves are on the show's writing team. Best of all, there are six books in the series to date, so plenty of material for future seasons. Best Buy had the "best" price by far for this product, beating out online prices significantly. Happy binge watching and remember the Cant!

The expanse is pretty good considering its produced by the SyFy channel which has been producing nothing but bad tv show after bad tv show year after year. The expanse offers a glimpse into how humanity might turn out 400 years into the future.

If you haven't read the books in the Expanse series, don't worry. The SyFy series is true to the storyline. The science is plausible -- it makes sense and doesn't rely on a large amount of science fiction mumbo jumbo. The cast is remarkably good, surprisingly so. The production values are better than I expected. And Shoreh Aglashdoo, as a senior UN official, is stunning. Just to hear her speak makes watching this series worthwhile.

The Expanse is a hidden gem among television. The first season previewed last year on the Sci-Fi channel and the second season is about to start. The show represents a more realistic imagination of space travel approximately 300 years from now. You'll find solid acting, drama, and intrigue as the crew races to unravel the reasons behind the mysterious explosion of their ship. I highly recommend it to any science fiction fans.

The Expanse is a great sci-fi series. I have all 3 seasons and is the best space drama. Too bad Syfy canceled the show, but Amazon picked it up. I hope that they will put season 4 on bluray for purchase.

Not seeing any of this series during the year I found this to be quite pleasant and worth the money. I will buy the second season too when it comes out.

As a latecomer to this particular franchise I found myself somewhat skeptical as to the production values in comparison to the novel(s) upon which this is based but I am pleasantly surprised. Great binge viewing bait, especially for those cabin fever days. Make the purchase (on blu-ray) - you will not suffer from buyer's remorse in ANY way!

Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck write under the pen name "James S. A. Corey" and they created the 'Expanse' universe, that this series is based on, in several novels along with novellas and short stories. As the saying goes 'The book is better', but this is an excellent realization of the Expanse. A big story spread all through our Solar System!

Pretty good so far. Good special effects. I may have found a new TV show to follow. Got to find some new ones with some of the greats coming to an end.

Great effects, great story, just wow! Created by a writer from Star Trek TNG this series is scifi as it should be, but with a bit more conflict. The effects and sets draw you in and help feel like the world is so much more real that just any show. Well done syfyi channel, returning to your roots!
