I think this is a tad overrated. Solid movie, kept me engaged but I expected a classic and this wasn't it. But that is just my opinion

this used to have one of the all time great car chases, but the chase and acting are a bit dated. But I paid under $10, so don't feel too bad.

I lost interest about 1/2 way into the movie. Can not fairly review since I left the room.

My husband liked the movie better than I did. He would recommend it.

Like many reviews have stated, this is the version to own. I agree that this versions picture and sound, which still gives the movie a film look while improving the picture and sound, is much better than the first version which added a great deal more unnatural grain to the picture. With some good extras included, this is the version you want.

I was in NYC in 1973. I love how this movie captures the grit, the noise and the feel of the city from that time. The soundtrack is edgy, haunting and almost disconcordant, but its a perfect match. Great performances especially when you consider the director didn't want Hackman or the Spanish actor who plays the Frenchman.

This is a great thriller, featuring fine acting and one of the greatest chases in movie history. This is definitely the Blu-ray version to own.

One of my favorite movies & I'd been waiting a long time to get it on bluray. Looks INCREDIBLE. Get this vers instead of the standard one.

This is the best version to get, approved by the Director and the best transfer and best colors of all versions!

Thw French Connection what a great film. This is also the Remastered version on blu-ray. A great buy for $8.

Good movie but a little slow by today's standards. Decent quality blu-ray video for how old it is.

Will somebody please do some color restoration of this film? The copy I ordered and watched was far from the original. The colors had faded and so much that it was almost difficult to watch.

With all the old reviews and it winning awards I was expecting more. The picture was terribly grainy. I had bought the Godfather set and watched it and the reviews complained of the picture being grainy and thought it wasn’t bad. French Connection was much worse. The movie couldn’t keep the attention of either my husband or me. Our expectations were set too high and was disappointed .
