The plot is a little hard to understand in the beginning but, once you know the real plot, the movie breaks out in lots of action. The elevated train (subway) chase was just terrific. But there is a surprise ending!

William Friedkin's classic The French Connection- a slow burn start that builds to an amazing second half. The blu-ray's A/V presentation is good, and includes an ample amount of special features. Recommended!

Good film but the extra’s actually make the purchase worth it. The transfer is a bit rough but it adds to the grittiness of NY during the 60s/70s.
