Love, love, love The Great Gatsby with Robert Redford!!!!

While the movie is as excellent as the book, the DVD didn't have any extra features and the DVD transfer could have been sharper so the up scaling to HD would have been better. Still an excellent filming of a classic. And we still don't know, what did Jay Gatsby do, to obtain all his money.

A classic! Took a while, but now we have the blu-ray!

It’s a great 70’s flick, very interesting and enjoyable.

Many people love the Leandro version of this film and so do I! But this is the original and most accurate to the book itself. If you love the book this is worth seeing for sure!

I totally liked this movie. I read the book first and was fascinated by the writing style of F. Scott Fitzgerald. The movie did not deviate from his story which is something I appreciate. The costumes, music and photography were excellent and I thought the performances were good. I especially liked Mia Farrow as Daisy. Of course I am a big Robert Redford fan so I would probably not criticize his acting even if it were not par. I also think Sam Watterson was a good Nick. I like this version much better then the new one with Mira Sorvino.

This is one of the few movies that is better than the book which I thought was really really boring. The movie itself isn't the best movie ever but it is much more interesting than the book. The movie does show much resemblence to the book though. If you didn't like the book though you probably won't like the movie either.

This is probably the worst movie ever produced. The acting is horrible, and the script is basically the book read aloud. It is terrible I do not recommend seeing it. However, if you are interested in THe Great Gatsby, I strongly recommend the book which is a classic. The movie, on the other hand, is terrible and should never have been produced.
