Matt Damon is great no matter what movie he is in.

Definitely a great movie would def recommend this.

Gotta see it in 4K the graphics are so much cooler

Can't wait to check out the 4k transfer and sound.

I really liked this film, the costumes were amazing. The special features stacked to the roof!Ok when I watch films I do so on a 180" movie theater screen with full 7.1 surround sound and the Buttkicker transducer system. This is not to Boast but to give an idea of the clarity that I rate both 4k and 1080p films. 1st off regardless if you are huge into 4k or still collect Blu-ray; I will add that with today's (Oppo) upscaling technology along with upscaling technology on theater projectors that the difference between Blu-ray & 4k is minimal. I will say that going over 180" that you will likely see a difference and recommend 4k for 150"+ screens. I found the film To be fun, enjoyable and the perfect film to drop in my popcorn film section!

The Great Wall is a good old fashioned "monster" movie full of action and wonderful special effects. Matt Damon does a good job in the main character. It is a departure of his movies in the past. If you are looking for a Jason Bourne type movie you will be disappointed. If you want a couple hours of good old fashioned fun then this movie is for you. The only negative thing I can say about the movie is the attempts at humor fall short of hitting the mark. In spite of this, the movie is very entertaining and well worth watching over and over again.

Matt D. is boring and at times it seems he's struggling to speak, the story is lacking and seems like one of those ps4 games where you just keep shooting monsters.

This movie was kinda disappointing but was entertaining. The 4K version brought out nice clarity and definition but was not the best I've seen.

Pay no attention to the cheesy dialog and cardboard characters, and just enjoy this colorful and fantastical movie. Where else will you find an army in hot air balloons and bungie-jumping warriors with lances that double as boomerangs? The stunning richness and clarity of the picture makes you glad that you paid up for your 4K TV. The aggressive Atmos soundtrack offers incredible directional depth, which is perfect for this projectile-dominated movie. So, make some popcorn and enjoy!

I thought this movie was really terrific fun, with amazing graphic special effects. I was a little hesitant at first to purchase the 4K Blu-ray because of some of the poor reviews, but after researching and seeing that the film's digital intermediate was 4K (making it a true 4K release), I went ahead and purchased it. I was glad I ignored the 'film' critics comments about character development, story line, yadda, yadda. I really enjoyed this action movie for its excellent, colorful costumes, sometimes eye-popping detail, action, and great special effects. Watch it in 4K if you can. It'll be a treat and a good time.

This film was a little out there to be honest but it did keep my attention. It was worth watching but not the best movie out there.

I bought this based on a recommendation to test my new Atmos speakers...I was told the Atmos effects were excellent when the monsters attack the Wall. They were right, but I hardly noticed as I was enjoying the storyline so much. This is not a Historical Drama, or even a well-planned monster/alien/horror movie. It is a good balance of action, amazingly seamless filming & effects, great score, and good acting. I wasn't expecting much, but I was very pleasantly surprised!

I over heard during conversation at work that the Great Wall was a good movie. I was expecting a movie kinda like 300 or braveheart type drama story. Impulse buy turned into a roller coaster with upside down flips and no track. At the end of the flick. My exact comments were. "Well that was weird". I'd have to say though the special effects were pretty decent. But not quite convincing. The audio was spectacular with atmos really shining during tunnel scene.

I hadn't read a review of this movie before buying it but had heard it had some great applications of HDR. I overall don't think CGIs show off HDR as much as real people and scenery. I thought that this movie would be more about the real history of the Great Wall and would have more natural images. Aside from that, the movie is entertaining and gave my surround system a workout. The story-line held my interest as well even if it wasn't what I expected.

I wasn't expecting much from this unheralded Matt Damon movie but this was pretty entertaining and special effects were pretty cool.

I think this movie had too high expectations when it was released. I actually enjoyed it and you probably will too if you aren't going into it expecting a Oscar winning movie. It reminds me more of the Mummy (not the latest one) as more of a fun adventure. Otherwise the movie shines in 4k with great detail and color reproduction. Audio tracks are wonderful with lots of loud booms and surround moments to make you smile.

This was a movie that could have been so much more. Everyone in this movie embraces their roles with the exception of Matt Damon. His performance left me with the feeling he did this role as a favor or an obligation to something he didn't want to do. Beyond that the movie had fantastic effects and great acting. I'm not sure why it didn't have a 3d bluray release because some of the effects were obviously meant for 3d.

I was hesitant to watch the movie after reading/hearing so many negative reviews and opinions. After seeing it for myself, I thought it was a decent movie and a pretty good home theater movie. Good action scenes with an appropriate amount of humor mixed in. The monsters could have been better done to seem more "real." Worth a watch, especially if you have a home theater system.

I had read some less than stellar reviews about this movie, but found it to be quite enjoyable.

I rented this movie first to be sure it was worth adding to my collection! The answer Yes ! The action packed move was great from start to finish. To watch this movie in 4k was awesome, the colors were Splended the drums, the Chinese costumes were so beautiful ! And best barely a let up in the action at All!! Watch this and judge for yourself! I loved it enough to buy it !!!
