A great film with some pretty cool effects! Looks good in 4k!

A different take on Arthurian legend, it does not fail to entertain. Deserving of far more love than it got at the theatres, it has one flaw: a lack of explanation. Most people hear King Arthur and think The Sword in the Stone and Excalibur which are more often than not amalgamated into the same sword. You have to be a bit more familiar than the average viewer with the legends. Watch this with Arthurian classics such as "Knights of the Round Table", "Excalibur", and "Merlin".

This movie is an absolute trip both literally and figuratively. The cinematography is incredible. Don't watch if you don't like highly philosophical/psychological stories with ambiguous endings. However, as the movie does cut the very last scene a bit short compared to the story it's based on, just go look up the original book if you're confused about what ultimately happened (though the cutting short of the movie's final scene in this ambiguous way was I'm sure an intentional narrative choice that stresses the underlying themes and lessons of the story)

This was an interesting Movie--I didn't know what to expect.

The product was fine. The movie itself is confusing. Now I understand why it's so controversial. If you are looking for really new movie ideas, this is certainly different. Unfortunately, I failed to grasp any symbolism that may or may not exist.

I had to watch this film a few times before I could begin to understand it. The first time I watched this I hated it, simply because it wasn't what I was expecting. I expected an action set piece with an easy to follow plot. Instead I found a philosophical mind f*ck set in medieval times. After watching this film a second time it really started to grow on me. My frustrations turned into intrigue. And slowly, my intrigue turned into appreciation. I now consider this a philosophical masterpiece, with equally strong visuals and audio. The 4k presentation is fantastic, HDR10 is available and it really adds to the film. Some of the scenes are definitely reference quality. If you want to show off the capability of 4k UHD this disc can do that. The Dolby Atmos and the Dolby True HD 7.1 audio tracks are equally stunning. If your enjoy movies that don't insult your intelligence and instead challenge you as a viewer. This is the one.

A24 continues to release extraordinary films every year, and this is definitely one of them! Directed by David Lowery, this film is adapted from the 14th-century poem "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight." Knowing a bit of a background of the story will definitely help. The movie is filled with tons of metaphor and symbolism, which has led to quite a bit of mixed reviews. As for the 4K UHD disc itself, it is a fantastic disc with uptick in detail over the standard blu-ray disc. Jaw-dropping visuals! Based on a 14th Century poem, so right up front, a lot of viewers are not gonna like this film. Many aren't gonna follow the story, which could be cut a little as far as run time. This is a real depiction of a genuine fantasy with visually amazing shots, introspective themes, and astonishing cinematography. I think it's a brilliant medieval flick, but it won't appeal to everyone.

Movie was definitely artistic and I don’t think any other director would have saved this story, but it is an adaptation of a centuries old poem which I felt could have been left alone but I don’t regret watching the movie. It was definitely an experience. Still trying to figure out what kind though.

Very nice 4K presentation of a unique take on the tale of Sir Gawain. There is some action, but the film is much more interested in the main character’s development as he goes from one dream-like encounter to the next. The film has some very dark, low contrast scenes, and the UHD is the best way to view it at home. Includes some nice supplements about the development of the story, casting Dev Patel, and achieving the visuals.

I'll get this out of the way first: Yes, The Green Knight is weird. It's very much an A24 production in that sense. It's the kind of movie that grates against the sensibilities of the masses. Don't get me wrong, I love a well-done blockbuster but there is a world where both types of films can be praised and recognized for how well they accomplish what they set out to do. In short, this is a 5 star movie. In addition, this disc has a terrific Dolby Vision transfer and a very good Atmos experience. Both of these help get across the film's atmosphere, which accounts for at least half of the experience with this kind of movie. There are also three behind-the-scenes featurettes on the 4k disc and while that may seem slight, they're incredibly well-done and worth a watch immediately after finishing the film.

I love this film. It has a beautiful appearance, strong performances. And an ultimately enjoyable story. It's roots are deep being based on old stories and as a consequence unfolds and paces in a manner that a modern viewer could find difficult. If you run from films described as "slow burn" you may struggle. But I am a fan indeed.

Beautifully shot movie. Its a movie with a lesson and deeper meaning. If you are expecting action and adventure you will hate this one. If you like movies with a lesson and fantastically shot scenes then pick it up. Initial trailer is a bit misleading but the movie is well done. Action is lacking starts fast then drags but a good rendition of the book.

The Green Knight is a truly memorable and one-of-kind film and only furthers the genius and remarkable artistic eye of director David Lowery. His vision of this old poetic tale is some kind of wonderful and gets better with each viewing. The 4K with Dolby Vision video presentation is top-notch and a step above the already great 1080p HD version and the Dolby Atmos track is demo-worthy. The few extras are all worthwhile as well. This is a MUST-OWN release.

From A24 films, same group that made the fantasticly distubing film "Midsommar" Green Knight is seeping with abstract atmoshere... not quite so much a straight forward film for most main streamers... but a great road to roll on for those who are always looking for something else... I'm glad that picked it up off the shelf at Best Buy... I had seen copies there and didn't think much about it until I flipped it over and saw the A24 Logo.. Sold!!! The Next and third film in my A24 4k collection is going to be "LAMB" I Can't wait!

Interesting take on old tale of King Arthur. It's a bit odd and bizarre but for me it kind of works. Dazzling visuals. The 4k is a treat... really brings out the color and detail. Recommended!

This movies isn't for everyone , I'll say that. It's pretty odd but the cinematics are beautiful. Images often worthy of a wallpaper. But it's strange and leaves a lot open for interpretation. It comes w bluray and digital. For $9.99 I took a chance on it.

Watched the HD Blu-Ray rental from Netflix and found the movie confusing but engaging. Having read more about the story I've grown to appreciate the movie much more. The 4K is an excellent transfer and sound. Well worth the sale price (thank you Best Buy).
