Ok plot, but it is slow to perk up as far as action

This chilling tale is brought to life with the actor's portrayal of life for fertile unmarried women. The government has decided what women may do with their bodies and as their work. Their names are based on the man they've been "matched" with, in this case Offred. Strange and slightly prophetic in part.

This is an excellent (though somewhat depressing) show. Anyone who wonders what could become of the world if our current system of government were to fall apart and give way to special interests, zealots, or despots should watch this show. Parts of it are difficult to see, but it delivers an important message, and is well worth it.

I love this show, it's a great adaptation of the book. I prefer the movie from the early 90s myself because that was a straightforward adaptation of the book whereas this show takes alot of liberties with the source material and continues where the book left off.

This is a great series, but I didn't have the premium channel it came on and did not want to pay the per episode price on the streaming channels. At the Best Buy sale price it was a no-brainer to obtain the whole season at a bargain. Also, I don't have to wait to see the next episode.

Too many average movies and mundane TV series get released on blu-ray every week. This series richly deserves its release. In fact, it deserves a lot more respect and studio support that it gets, so it's nice to be able to see it an all of its blu-ray glory!

Im usually not a drama fan but this has that "how on eart did it come to that" factor and is so disturbing on multiple levels, tgat i binge watched the first 2 seasons in 4 days. Mature themes.

i had a totally different thought process of this series by watching previews..then a friend explained it to me. It was very compelling to watch. I can't wait till the second season comes out on dvd,as I have no cable to watch it.

I never read the book this dystopian tale is based on but the show is excellent and serves as a warning as to what might happen to a less than diligent society that allows the government to slowly erode their rights.

This is television at its best a series that's very compelling great action great storytelling and great acting what else do you need to occupy those lonely nights.

Very well acted and directed TV series. This first season left me feeling a little depressed, but that's to be expected once the subject matter is known. Recommended!

Belatedly have finally the purchased first season during Black Friday sale . Great story combined with a superb cast . Glad the novel was turned into a first rate tv series

I'd heard it was really good, but I had no idea that the execution would work out so well. And even though I'm watching it on a 4K TV, the DVD version still looks great.

Wife heard about this series from friends and wanted to watch it. She really liked it, and has watched the rest of the series as it came out.

Excellent series. Great writing and acting. A cautionary tale for those who fail to act to prevent fascism. A dark tale of oppression brought upon by the far right.

I loved this season. The topics encountered in this series parallel real events that have happened in human history. It makes you think .

This series is not for the faint, but if you love drama, you will love this. Great price at Best Buy! Buy!
