Not what I was hoping for
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Though in this case, the fault is mine for assuming. I had hoped this would contain both the original theatrical cut in addition to the extended directors version, which I don't care for as I prefer the pacing and run time of the original. The transfer is adequate and the sound is fine, as expected, but it would have been nice if this included both versions given there's plenty of room.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So So 4k transfer. Beautiful movie but it doesn't pop off the screen like I was hoping it would. The lack of HDR unfortunately keeps this film from pulling you in. Great picture but a bit flat.

Only the Original is Worth Buying
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Last of the Mohicans is my all-time favorite movie--that is in the original format. The DVD sold in the US is the Director's Cut and leaves me with disgust and outrage. The war at the fort is now way too long and my most favorite moments have now been deleted and replaced with counterfeit moments. The music does not even seem to flow the same way. I went to Wal-Mart the other day and found a DVD just entitled The Last of the Mohicans, but don't be fooled. Notice carefully that whoever packaged it is obviously feeling the heat of those like me that feel the same way. They carefully place a paper over the what is truly the original. It is the worse-than-awful Director's Cut. If you want the best edition, buy the VHS version if you can find it or the version from Great Britain which is owned by Warner Brothers not Fox. Even with the lesser quality of the VHS over a DVD, you still will walk away with a far better deal.

no Dances with Wolves
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie isn't the best thing on film nor is it close. Some good parts but not enough to mention nor to watch again to see. Leave this one alone.
