As stated above, hands down it is the greatest Game I've ever played on Playstation. I'm a pretty hardcore gamer and work in the industry. The story to this game will make you smile, cry, swear, jump, and fall in love with Naughty Dog (the maker). It is exceptional and unforgettable. You will want to play it from beginning to end and most likely a few times through. This game is what converted my hardcore xbox-loving brother to Playstation. And he'll never go back lol. I play all consoles, and to this day I can still say after playing games my whole life, nothing beats The Last of Us. The graphics, gameplay, mechanics, audio, story, and multiplayer will completely change your video game standards if you have played as many games as I. It's a game that every playstation owner should have in their collection. I bought this copy as a second copy in case my original copy ever fails me. I started playing the game on ps3 2 or 3 years ago, and moved on to the ps4. I've played the multiplayer almost everynight for a year. Get this game while you can. It will probably change your gaming life. The only con I can say is, Naughty Dog needs to add more map packs as add-ons for multiplayer and they need to improve the box colliders around the objects so you aren't getting shot while behind cover. Sometimes bullets come through walls when they shouldn't be.

If you haven't played "The Last of Us" yet, then you haven't played the best game there is. Here's my story, I knew nothing about "The Last of Us" and it wasn't til a week after it came out for PS3 when I was in the mall at Gamestop with only $30 when someone tried to return the game there and they wouldn't take it back, so I offered the person all the money I had ($30) and they reluctantly said yes. I was excited I got a brand new game for $30 but hoped it was worth it. When I got home I started playing, since then I've played through on Grounded difficulty 8 times and am still playing. This is one of those games that you'd have to be an idiot not to buy! If you haven't seen anything about this game yet then don't search anything up, just take a chance and buy it, then you can have no idea what your in for (like I was) and be totally blown away by how amazing it is! Yes I would recommend this game! I wouldn't even keep my PS4 if it wasn't for this game!

I finally got to play this after getting a Playstation 4 Pro recently. I am/was a Xbox owner for some time and hadn't had a Playstation since Playstation 2 so I am going back and playing some of the excellent games that I had missed. This being one of them! Naughty Dog, who also makes the Uncharted series, has done it again with this fantastic game. I am not sure how the original looked but the remastered version looks great. Controls are pretty solid but could use some more tweaking/changes to make it perfect. Also, like with all their games the story is top notch and this is coming from someone who rarely cares about a games story. I thought this was going to be a Uncharted clone in how the game is structured but it is different than I expected. The added a few more RPG like elements such as crafting and player upgrades. I am almost halfway through the game and I am really enjoying it. I think it may start to drag towards the end since I don't see it getting much more varied in terms of combat and such but I am looking forward to see how the rest of the story unfolds. I can't see much replay value but at the cheap price it is at now it is well worth at least one play through.

If you're looking at this, you know The Last Of Us. I lost my PS3 and purchased a PS4 not too long ago, and this was one of the first games that I felt upset losing. Even over my 3 playthroughs and time put into multiplayer (for someone who doesn't typically like multiplayer, it was a great deal), I was bummed knowing I wouldn't be able to play this game again for a good while. As soon as the Remastered edition was announced, I traded in all my PS3 games and ordered it ASAP, and by Joe does it not disappoint. It's actually really fun just to swap back and forth between 30 and 60fps to see how big of a difference it makes, and it's HUGE. The game feels (and looks) much smoother overall. I booted into a multiplayer match my first time just to see how it looked gameplay-wise, and was blown away by how responsive everything had become, and was surprised by how much I liked using the new and wonderful triggers on the Dualshock 4 compared to the older controllers. Overall: if you're a die hard fan of the game like myself, you're going to want this. If you played it once and didn't feel compelled to go again, or just didn't have the interest don't bother, this won't change your mind. But I imagine my playthroughs will go from 3 to 8 or more now, especially under the Grounded difficulty.

If you are new to Playstation, or simply been on the fence, well... you really can't go wrong with this one. Current price is $19.99. This has the base game along with the DLC (multiplayer maps + higher difficulty + Left Behind story) included on the disc. If you played the original PS3 version you will absolutely appreciate the upgrade to 60fps and enhanced visuals. It looks better and plays much smoother. Probably even better on the PS4 Pro. The game can be played with a stealth focus, which I found to be very challenging, or third-person guns blazing... also difficult for me. Personally I jumped the gun and started this game on the highest difficulty setting: grounded, which offers no HUD and a more intense gameplay experience. Since I'm not much of a multiplayer gamer, the best thing about this game IMHO is the setting/story, so go for easy mode until you feel comfortable changing that. Do yourself a favor and just go for it. It's iconic and something every PS4 owner should play at least once.

I didn't own a Playstation 3 console when The Last of Us released last year. However when TLU was announced for the PS 4 I was so psyched as I knew I was getting the best looking and running version of the game. The game is gorgeous and runs silky smooth and really shows what next gen game consoles can achieve. There is even an option to lock the game at 30 fps like the original and comparing the original to the newer one is a huge step up. For the game itself its a great game that borrows a lot of mechanics from other survival horror games, like Dead Space/ Resident Evil and builds upon them to make them fit well in TLU world. The atmosphere is very believable as the environments and pacing of the game are amazing and sync really well together. My only complaints are with the AI as sometimes your allies can walk in front of patrolling enemies while in stealth and still not get caught. Some bugs popped up every now and then, like getting stuck on objects and some scenery popping in out. But overall this is an amazing game that needs to be played by anyone who hasn't played the original version. Not 100% sure if its worth another purchase if you already own it because it doesn't offer anything new from the orignal game, besides the DLC.

I did not play this game on the PS3, so I went into this with no expectations. I am also an avid FPS player, so I was a little hesitant to buy this sort of game knowing I really enjoy the fast past of the typical FPS. This game opens pretty amazingly. The first hour is intense and fast paced. Then it runs into this lull for a few hours. I even stopped playing for a couple week because the game progress was soooooo slow. I was getting tired of having to move at a snail pace for every encounter... Then, you start to get new weapons and encounter more intense situations. From there, things never seem to stop getting more intense and more amazing. Every new situation seems to be better than the last and the next thing I know I just burned through an hour of my life without even noticing because the game had me so focused. For those who like the faster pace and do not get the hype on this game, I am guessing did not make it through that lull in the beginning. Once past that, I was hooked and continued to be amazed throughout. Amazing game that I highly recommend to everyone!

    TLOU Remastered

When The Last of Us was released on PS3, it received overwhelmingly positive reviews and was praised for both it's story and overall gameplay. When the remaster was announced, people we skeptical of re-releasing a game that had only recently come out. This new version featured higher frame rates, improved gameplay and was absolutely worth buying again. The story follows Joel and Ellie as they cross a disaster-ridden United States to help fight back against the disease that had consumed so many. There are some very emotional points within the story and you cannot help but feel the emotions the characters are going through. Along the way, you'll encounter all sorts of different characters, both good and bad, and pick up and modify weapons to help you with your journey. The weapon choices are vast and you can generally run with your preferred weapon, so long as you're able to find ammo along the way. TLOU is a fantastic remastered game and, in my opinion, still is one of the top games available on the PS4 despite it's few-year-old age and with all the other titles that have been released subsequently. Highly recommended.

The much awaited remaster of a highly regarded game has been completed. The game is a survival/zombie themed 3rd person shooter with a very compelling story and believable and interesting characters. It seems that Naughty Dog tends to do well in the story telling department, just like their other franchise, Uncharted. Graphically, you will notice there are some minor visual improvements. The PS3 version was pretty much as good as it gets and you can only do so much more in a remaster. However, the biggest improvement would be that it can run on 60 FPS. And for those who don't want it to run on 60 FPS (for some reason), Naughty Dog had the courtesy of putting in a 30 FPS lock on it. All the DLC content is there (including the extra side story, "Left Behind". This is great for those who have never played this game before and can experience all its holy glory. It's quite cheap now and it's a small little package that offers so much. If you haven't played the game at all, you really need to and should be in everyone's PS4 library. This is a gem that should not be missed.

I know I’m late to playing this game, but I figured after all the hype I needed to play it at some point. I’ll admit, it took me a while to truly get into it, but once I did, I was totally hooked. From a gameplay perspective, The Last of Us challenges you to make logical decisions throughout. However, while the gameplay is good, where this game truly shines is in its story and character development. I felt as if I had a personal relationship with these characters which only grew stronger as the story progressed. I have never cared so much for video game characters as I do for Ellie and Joel. The story is emotionally gripping, and the game does an incredible job creating a human connection between these characters and the player. The quality of the narrative of this game is far beyond any feature film I have seen in recent years. While I was (very) late in picking up this game, I’ll be waiting eagerly to pick up Part 2 on release date.

The Best Game for Playstation 4

I got the Playstation 4 solely for this game. This version takes the ps3 version and makes it better in every way. The download is pretty big but it includes all of the downloadable content, story and maps. If you have never played the ps3 version then this is an absolute must buy. The game plays great at a third person perspective and everything from the player movement and background interaction is top notch, with great voice acting by Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson. The story will get you attached to these characters and you will feel the pain and joy they go through. The most surprising thing about this game is how great the multiplayer is. I've played everything from Gears of War,Halo to Call of Duty and this is by far my favorite online experience. There is no hero mode where one person can glitch and just dominate an entire team. You have to work as a team and if you dont your team will lose. There is no huge advantage that the other team will have and thats what makes the online so fun. This game is well worth the Game of the Year nominations and rewards it has recieved.

The Last of Us Remaster for the ps4. The game originally released on the ps3. The biggest difference between the two versions is that the ps4 included nearly all the dlc (includes multiplayer character skins, multiplayer maps, etc), the single player dlc, 60FPS (frames per second), and remastered graphics (better lighting, models, etc). The story for this game is very powerful. You feel like you are part of the adventure of the characters because it really grips you into their world; their struggles. The connection you build with the characters along the way makes you question morals and decisions. Because in the end of the world, sometimes making the right choice is not always the easiest. As far as the game-play goes, the game mechanics is very solid and well done. The guns handle terrifically and fit very well with the setting of the game. Multiplayer is hands down one of the best multiplayer game I have ever played. So do yourself a favor and purchase this game already. You will not regret it.

I bought this game when it came out for the PS3 and loved it. It was a 5 star game then. The Remastered edition for the PS4 just makes it better. The remastered visuals are slightly better than the original, but I honestly hoped for a little more. Maybe in the way of a little more AI refinement for the companion characters and more realistic character movements in some spots. Its not a bash because this game already out performs anything else out there when delivering facial expression, emotions, story telling, cinematics and over-all detail. There are a few visual glitches I have ran into in the game, but nothing detrimental to the experience this game delivers. The extra content included is a great bonus and puts the game over the top. So to sum it up, it's just a great game made slightly better with all the extras. I gave it 4 stars only because of the visual glitches that are not in my original PS3 copy, and because I experienced the only lock-up/crash I have ever had on my PS4. I haven't experienced any further issues with the game though.

TLOU is a great game. It's two components and great pieces in their own right, but they come together to complete one great package. Singleplayer is great. I enjoy had there is a meta-story with each enemy encounter. This means the way you play you can form you own story. You can make Joel engage in a intense firefight with survivors. Or you can make Joel wait with baited breath as you wait for a opportunity to stealth through. The singleplayer is why many people play but I spend most of my time playing multiplayer. I should preface saying that I spent 7th gen playing on the Xbox 360. The Last of Us multiplayer feels like a organic GOW. Its the opposite ends of the spectrum. While there isn't wall bouncing with the gnasher, the gunplay that is there feels more organic. There are no magnet walls, but rather when your character nears a walls he instinctively presses against. The Last of Us is grounded in reality so players do not take too much damage before going DBNO. I whole-heartily recommend this game.

I won't waste your time or mine, you need this game. In fact I would classify TLOU as more of an experience than a game. It is moving, terrifying, heart wrenching, and will have you calling out of work to finish it. This game is THE reason many people picked up a Playstation. I can't believe TLOU remastered can be picked up for 19.99 now. It is the biggest no brainer in the history of the earth. Maybe I'll pick up a few more sealed copies and stick them away for a few decades because this game has staying power.

Finally bought a PS4 after being a longtime XBox One owner in order to get all the exclusives I've been hearing about. Immediately bought three games with this being at the top of my list since I've heard so much about it "Winner of over 200 awards" exclaimed the box so I had high hopes. Unfortunately, the game looks and feels dated. It was originally released for the PS3 in 2013 and it shows. Even though it's was remastered for the PS4 and further remastered for the PS4 Pro (which I have), the game just simply looks dated. It simply doesn't compare with the graphics of modern games. Also, the controls feel dated. Control of the protagonist is janky and looks unnatural compared with modern games. It's still worthwhile to play because of the story and the voice acting but I guess it shows that it's difficult to go back to the past in the video game world.

This game is off the charts in terms of gameplay, graphics, design and dialogue. The game has a lot of subtle relativity to bioshock inifinate. If you have previously played bioshock inifinate, and then play this game, you will see what I mean. Not to mention the lead character in the game (Joel) has the same voice actor as Booker DeWitt (lead character in Bioshock Infinate). You will find that the supporting character gets in your way most of the game, you'll have to protect her during fight scenes and she will occasionally help you out by finding you some ammo or health if you are ever in desperate need. All of these elements are seen in Bioshock. Other than those elements, the gameplay feels pretty fresh, and is packed with adrenaline rushing moments that might occoationally make you want to flip the lights on. All in all, I would highly recommend this game. If I had to give it a rating I'd most likely say it's a 9.5 out of 10. One of the best games I've ever played!

This is a mature game not in the senseless violence, blood or nudity sort of way. Its mature in terms of characters and their growth, the dialog, the worlds brutality. It has the violence and blood, but in this game it feels right. It makes the player feel how real it can get if this were to really happen. The gameplay is very tense, especially on the higher difficulties. This version comes with the higher difficulties unlocked. I recommend starting on hard, the enemy doesn't get any better, the difficulty comes from getting less items to help you. The story is like many others in gaming, the way the story is told is what makes this game special. It doesn't hold your hand when telling the story, it doesn't come right out and say everything, but it gives you enough to make you understand what its talking about. For those who weren't able to play it last year because they only had a 360, Sony has given you another chance to play it.

This game is riveting from the very beginning. You jump in the game and don't even notice the tutorial aspects of it. Even if you are tired of the whole Walking Dead/Zombie premise of a lot of movies/games, this game examines the humanity aspect of a such tough times. Among the Game of the Year on many lists, this game is a must-experience for all video gamers. It is nicely paced and gameplay is easily accessible from hard core gamers to novice players just looking for an amazing experience. This plot is riveting, Voice casting is superb and the design and world-building is top-notch. Not to mention, it looks like a masterpiece on the PS4 Pro with its remastering. Enjoy it and play it until the end of its DLC "Left Behind" and wait until the upcoming Part 2.

Few games can make you cry; The Last of Us is one of those. The story of Joel and Ellie's trek across a post-apocalyptic US is fraught with many dangers, much sadness, and punctuated with moments of wonder. Through the journey, it's easy to become attached to the two. That vested interest makes the need to keep them alive all the more palpable. And, keeping them alive is what you'll be doing most of the time. Utilizing under-used survival horror gameplay, you will find yourself holding your breath as you slowly sneak up on an enemy knowing that one false step could mean an army of them descending upon you, and a grotesque death for our characters. This is one of those games that, once finished, it's hard to start playing another game right away as it's impossible to measure up in comparison. The PS4 version bumps-up the already stunning graphics and adds all the current DLC including the single-player "Left Behind" all for $50.
