I liked it at first, but it got a little repetitive after awhile. Ended up selling it.

This game has been a huge hit in our house, from my husband to our 5-yr old son.

Steals game structure from far cry in every way, i liked far cry so i like this.

Ok yes fun game and arrived to my door fast, but what i didnt like is my game case is damaged on arrival. The only reason i didnt take it back was i didnt want to wait for another to come in the mail, and didnt think best buy would do anything more than return the game and ship another. So a little disappointed.

You definitely don't need to go out and buy the new console to play this game.

DISCLAIMER - This will trigger fan-boys all around // There were only a few elements that made this game worthwhile. The combat has been honed since the N64 days and I did enjoy the "slow-time" when shooting your arrows, etc. What gets me is that even though they attempted open-world, it was vastly empty. There are maybe around 5 villages. What this game should have been called: Breath of the Mild - Legend of Seeds, Stables and Shrines (which also lack any actual story objectives). HORIZON:Zero Dawn had a plot. Not just a collection of cutscenes. The "dubbing" of the cutscenes for BOTW were reminiscent of 4kids shows on Saturday mornings on WB. Save a few bucks by renting this game. Even the first DLC pack was also not really worth what they're charging. I've been fan since ALTTP. This was decent at best.
