Game starts off a little odd but once you get into the story it becomes awesome. Graphics are great. Battle style is close to the other Zelda games but the major difference is the open world format. There is a set story but you can go to any part of the world you want as long as you can survive the elements.

We were concerned that not having on the Switch might affect game play, but our entire family adores this game. Playing on the Gamepad works very well and our 7 year old has no problems with controlling Link on our epic adventures across Hyrule. In fact, I think I'm going to go play it again right now!

Nintendo has done it again with another Zelda Classic on the Wii U. Although I did not pre - order a Nintendo Switch , I am very happy with the Wii U version . Aside from a few graphical differences from their new system, the game play is the same and besides.... this is still a beautiful game on the Wii U!

This is a different Zelda game than you've experienced before. It feels good when in combat, the world is alive, and there are secrets to discover all across the map. I was concerned about an open empty Zelda world, but Nintendo did a good job with filling in with enemy camps and trials to spice things up.

Zelda BOTW finally arrives on Wii U and is as good as the reviews say. It also runs very well and very close to the Switch version. The games are identical with the exception of minor frame drops that might not be present in the Switch version in the same areas. The game is a great addition to the Wii U.

I am so amazed at this game. I play for about 40 hours still didn't even scratch the surface of what to do in the game. It's unbelievable how lost you can get in the game. I highly recommend this game, even the Wii U version runs great no need to get the switch just for this game if you have a Wii U.

I love this game. I play it almost everyday. I's beauty is breathtaking. Gameplay can be challenging but exciting nonetheless. Controls are simple and navigating isn't an issue. I haven't played any zelda games. Breathe of the wild is the first zelda game I've ever played. I'm glad I purchased it!

Stayed up all night playing the game. Jaw dropped the entire time from discovering the magic within.

I didn't play this version, but from what I have read, I assume this is very similar if not the same. So I will say this game is one of the best games I have played in a long time. If you can't find / or want to spend $300 on the switch, then go ahead and play this, you will not be disappointed.

It's an impressive game in scope and mechanics. It's fun to run around and discover stuff and solve shrines and such, but the main story didn't grab me, what little I interacted with it. The breaking weapons are annoying and the cooking options are overwhelming to the point that I just didn't want to fiddle with it. It felt to me like a more outwardly kid-friendly version of Shadows of Mordor but without the nemesis system. The fact that it was available on Wii U allowed me to save money on a Switch until there's more reason to buy it and they get the next iteration of hardware out that solves the little issues that have been reported with it.

Heard a lot from friends about how great this game is. If you like Zelda you will love this one. The graphics are out of this world and the game play is as well. It includes all the best parts of all the Zelda games. It's now the only game my son will play . Don't wait get it if you love Zelda

I am really enjoying this Zelda game. It is different from the traditional Zelda games of the past which is nice. It is more challenging then previous games but also the open world really makes up for it. There is so much you can do in that game that I know I will be playing it for 100+ hours.

The game itself is amazing. However the frame rate constantly drops below 20fps and the resolution is a low 720p. If you can look past it's performance I would highly recommend it.

I love this game. This is what would happen if all of the current top-game developers got together to use only their best attributes. This adventure is beautiful from start to finish and finally gives you a reason to use (or pick up) those Amiibo you've been eyeing for several years now.

The Legend of Zelda series has always been the top of the line video game series and Breath of the Wild continues that trend. Completely reiventing the Zelda formula and also the Open world genre, this game will have you hooked for many hours. Must own for anybody that loves video games.

This game is awesome! Excellent gameplay, it looks great on the Wii U, and the music is amazing. If you've never played a LoZ game before, this would be an amazing introduction to the franchise! LoZ veterans will know exactly what makes this game so wonderful within the first few hours...

My wife and boys love the new Zelda game. Or should I say one of them does. I am fed up with game designers not offering more memory slots on games. I guess they want each individual player to buy the game. My family is patiently waiting until the first son completes the game so then they can one by one create their own account and try the game out. They used to love having multiple slots on Zelda and comparing how each other were proceeding through the game. Now it is truly a one person show. On the positive side there is wonderful graphics, audio and more. Too bad it no longer is able to engage the whole family like it used to.

Great game, but hard to stop playing! Love how huge the game is, fun weapons, bad guys, and puzzles. The game also lets you make you own food and elixirs. This game has incredible demensions and interaction. The sunrise and sunset reflections in the water are amazing! Very enjoyable game!

A new Zelda release is always a big deal, and this one takes it to a whole new level. This stands up there with Ocarina of Time as not only an incredible Zelda game, but one of the best games ever made. After 15 hours I feel that I haven't even scratched the surface- this game is MASSIVE.
