For someone who has been a Zelda fan their entire life, this game will be a great change of speed. From the artwork to the gameplay it grabs your attention from the beginning. Ive caught myself just staring at the screen sometimes because of how good it looks.

While the game is huge and sprawling. Offers a lot of opportunity for exploring... the game lacks direction. The Story is weak and the story telling is awful. Mechanically the game is solid for the most part. I do think the combat targeting is pretty bad. Things that most critics point out as ground breaking can be found in many other games. While it does have a hefty dose of classic Nintendo charm... it really feels like just another open world game. I do enjoy the world design and the look of the game. This is a game for Nintendo fans and then really only for Zelda fans.

I got this for my son as a surprise (I'm more of a PC gamer myself) and he is absolutely in love with it. He loves the open world feel and says it's his favorite Zelda game to date. A must buy! I'm excited to see if it will be released on the PC so I can play too :)

It takes everything you loved about the rest of the series and puts it into a giant detailed open world. This is the new bar. I've played both the WiiU and Switch versions now. They're identical. Get this game even if you aren't ready to jump to the new hardware

The Zelda franchise is my favorite, and Nintendo really outdid themselves with Breath of the Wild. They took the open world concept and really made it their own. Also, you're going to want to climb everything in every game you play after this.

9/10 everything is great my only cons would be boss battles aren't as unique and inspired as past Zelda games, and the controls are terrible I don't think I'll ever totally get comfortable with them. These don't make it or break it though, still an excellent game.

I bought this for my 12 year old son and he loves it. He hasnt played many Zelda titles but this one piqued his interest so we took a shot. He was sad to hear this was the last game for the WiiU. It's an open world and not to complicated controls. Great graphics.

If you already have a Wii U then YES!!!, this game is OFF THE CHARTS! However, if you don't have a Wii U then don't buy a Wii U for it go buy a Nintendo Switch and buy this game for Nintendo Switch instead. (I say this as one of the few crazies that bought both)

I've always enjoyed the Zelda series of games and this one is the best of all. the WiiU does an admiral job of rendering this game in a very playable form. there is a vast world to explore and a great many quests to undertake. you can't go wrong with this game.

Simply put, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of the finest examples of open world gaming, filled to the brim with secrets and there are seemingly endless amounts of things to climb, explore, fight and enjoy through hundreds of hours your time in Hyrule

Nintendo nailed it with the newest installment in the Legend of Zelda series. Not only is the open-world in Breath of the Wild massive, it's also got a quality of feeling lively. The combat is the best it has ever been in a Zelda game, also. The WiiU version of the game runs at a lower resolution than the Switch version, and experiences performance issues such as framerate slowdown. If you already have a WiiU and don't have a way to get a Switch (or don't want to buy one), this version is perfectly playable, but the Switch version is definitely better from a technical angle.

I was unable to get my hands on a switch at launch, luckily they still made it for the Wii U. And I must say this is fantastic. Takes me back to my childhood love of video games. The exploration and amiibo functionality are my two favorite aspects of the game.

Simply put, Breath of the Wild is one of the finest videogames every made. The sense of freedom, of being allowed to complete your quest how you see fit, is a lot to take in. If you can look past the performance issues, you'll see just how special this game is.

I love the new challenges and mini games! Catching horses might be my favorite!

If you don't plan on getting a Switch yet, you should still get this on Wii U, there aren't enough notable differences to hold off buying this. 3D Zelda with a great open world and tons to see and do. The physics puzzles are loads of fun to solve and discover.

Seriously, this is one of the best games to come out in awhile, at least in my opinion. The Wii U version might be slightly inferior to the switch version, but if you can't find a switch or don't want to get one yet, the Wii U version is more than excellent.

Nintendo continues the tradition with another great Zelda game. I have it on WiiU and my son has it on the Switch. Graphics and gameplay seem the same, I just don't have the portability he gets with the Switch. If you are a Zelda fan this is worth the price

This game had me distracted for hours and there was so much that Ive played about 15 hours and I still haven't fought a boss. Amazing game that I would recommend to anyone who is a fan of the Zelda series or people wanting to branch out to new experiences.

Breath of the Wild is a very well-designed game, with a lot of things to find throughout its open world. There is very little handholding throughout the whole game and much of the game is built around getting you to investigate things you see from afar (such as shooting stars, columns of smoke, etc). Docked a star from this review for multiple framerate drops specific to the Wii U version, though I do like that plugging headphones into the gamepad while in TV mode pumps all game audio through the headphones. This feature was missing in the Switch version.
