Worth buying a WiiU for
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An amazing game, with a ton of content. Plays totally different from other Zelda games, but not unwelcome changes. More story driven, but also open world.

The BEST. Period.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wii U version came out as same as Switch version. The resolution is different, but it is hardly noticeable. Frame rate drops at certain area, but it had been fixed with update. Now, the game play. I strongly suggest you NOT to use guide or look up something on the internet. Just play. You do not have a guide in a real life. As you play, you will be amazed and will have fun with what you will experience. I will not say anymore because I do not want to ruin your wild life. If you do not buy this game even if you have Wii U, you are missing a chance to win a lottery.

Simply breathtaking
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There aren't enough good things I can say about this game. It's beautiful, the gameplay is so unique, and the story is unparalleled. The biggest thing people seem to argue with is how this compares to the Switch version. Some people report lag issues, but why're negligible. There are moments when maybe it's raining, 4 monsters are attacking you, a fire is roaring behind you, while a horse runs away from you. Yeah, it might lag then. But outside of that, it's seamless. If you aren't ready to splurge on the Switch yet, this is an amazing buy. Highly recommended.

Amazing!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The creators of Zelda just keep on making this game awesome every single time. Sometimes I feel like they take forever to come out with new ones, but as soon as they come out I understand why. All the quests, the story, the challenges, pretty much everything keeps me entertain. Since Ocarina of Time, graphics obviously have gotten much better. However, the 'flavor' and the essence of the game has been kept to compete even the latest games coming out. This game for me will always be a classic. Highly recommended!

The Zelda of our Generation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Legend of Zelda holds a special place in a lot of our hearts. Starting on the NES and perfecting on the N64. I didn’t own a Gamecube so all my experiences with the newer titles were isolated to the HD remakes. Case and point, Zelda carries an unquestionable pedigree. I like many fans have eagerly awaited a true NexGen Zelda game. We’ll everyone, I am here to tell you the newest game in the entry is that game. I would like to start my opinion of this game by saying I have it on the Wii U. I have never been a fan of Nintendo’s recent “Innovations” in console controls, so I don’t plan on purchasing a Nintendo Switch. I will go ahead and get something out of the way. The Nintendo Wii U port of Zelda is perfect for an immersive open world on a last gen system. Too often we forget the hurdles of LastGen gaming as it relates to open world games. Skyrim despite it’s many updates and patches still takes forever to load, has clipping, framerate drops, pop in… ETC. I have never played an open world game and not experienced some form of technical error. However, despite those short comings, Open World adventure and RPG games are my favorite. So with that out of the way. Now time to talk about Zelda The Breath of the Wild. What would you get if Studio Ghibli created a game staring Link and borrowing elements from Princess Monanoke, Castle in the Sky and the game play from Shadows of Mordor? An incredibly realized vision. Very few games give you a since of adventure. Most games are either too linear or so open ended they become mundane. While Zelda will obviously be prone to repetition, the new emphasis on resource managements and constantly swapping out items adds a refreshing since of desperation to the usual open world adventure tropes. The sense of wonderment on display every time you climb a mountain and glide aimlessly toward your next destination is beyond on words. It’s like sailing through a painting. Many good games are coming out this year. The market is overly saturated with triple A titles and the competitive gaming market is at it’s all time high. Developers are tasked with constant innovation and strict release schedules. I can honestly say Nintendo has poured their heart and soul into this title. It’s not about graphics, innovation, 10 star reviews or outselling the next big budget franchise. They game is simply put a love letter to the fans and developer that loyally follow this time honored franchise.

Best Zelda yet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just recently finished all the shrines and the game has been incredible the whole time. Frustrating at times when I can't quite figure out something, but a lot of fun. And the DLC has added some great content and challenges as well.

Fresh New Take On Zelda
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Breath of the Wild is one of the best Zelda experiences I've ever had. Not that Zelda is ever terrible. But some of the past games have been a bit misguided. This newest entry gives the player nearly total freedom to play how you want.

It's a MUST HAVE!!! Switch not necessary
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a great game, plain and simple. If you're wondering whether to go with the Wii U version or switch, it all depends on your gaming preference. Don't listen to articles stating Zelda struggles on the Wii U version. It doesn't. Frame rate drops are few and far between and it will need a Keen eye to spot them. If you're cautious about investing in a new hardware AND already own a Wii u, just go with the Wii u version. I would only recommend the Switch version if you don't already have a Wii U or if you absolutely need to play Zelda on the go.

The most incredible video game experience ever!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This isn't just the best Zelda game ever the is the best video game of all time. You lose track of time very easily while playing this game. Every square inch of this game has something to discover. The story is incredible, the visuals are stunning. This game is so well polished that nothing else can measure up to it. I don't want to spoil anything so check it out yourself and if you don't have a Nintendo Switch or a Wii U go out and buy one or the other l ASAP and play this game!!!! This game alone is worth the investment in a console.

Plays better than you would expect on the Wii U
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For those owning a Wii U not wanting to buy a Switch quite yet, the Wii U version runs great and is well worth buying. On Wii U it renders at 720p 30fps at most times on console or Gamepad (though Gamepad only displays 854x480) with occasional dips to around 20fps. Basically it runs fairly smoothly and never becomes unplayable or locks up. The game offers no extra features on the Gamepad except offscreen play, so don't plan on inventory management being available there. But if you have a Wii U I highly recommend grabbing this game.

Great open world adventure
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.BotW is an interesting addition to the Zelda franchise. To me, it doesn't play like a traditional Zelda game at all. Sure, there's still puzzles, but the game format is laid out completely different, but in a good way. There's other, modern games out of you're looking for a typical Zelda you're feel. (I.e. Darksiders, or Adventure Time Nameless Kingdom) but for such a huge world, the new mechanics offer a great value to the gameplay. 1. There's a lot more "dungeons". 120, I believe. They are a lot smaller, but nice little challenges placed all throughout Hyrule. And they aren't always easy to find. 2. Your weapons break. No more hacking away at anything that moves. Though I miss this, it's more realistic to have the weapons break after so much abuse. I find myself hiding weapons because of this change. 3. Fewer tools. There's no hookshot or really boomerangs from what I can see. You've got a few runes for your tablet that you can use, but nothing like before. Oddly, this means infinite bombs. But boomerangs are considered melee weapons like a sword and will break after so many uses, then you'll have to find another one. Arrows still run out. That being said, there's several different arrow types and the new runes let you do things you only dreams of making Link do before. 4. Link gets tied. You've got stamina in this game, so you're not just gonna Sprint all through Hyrule like other adventures. You'll have to pace yourself and know your limits. You can't just climb to the top of everything wall you run into. 5. Cooking is important. You'll end up collecting so much intents along the way. It's important to know how to take those ingredients and make stat altering for items with. You can replenish hearts and stamina, give boosts to max levels, fight of cold and heat, etc. 6. DO NOT JUST CUT BUSHES. You won't make Link rich in this game by cutting the grass like the older Zelda games. There's not money under every blade of grass like before. Don't waste your time and weapons looking. Overall, it's a great game. I can see myself spending a lot of time trying to find everything I possibly can.

The best Zelda game ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Wii U had pretty much been abandoned by Nintendo at this point and I thought I was going to have to buy the Switch just to play this game and I wasn't too happy about it. Fortunately I was excited to find out that it was in fact released on the Wii U and from what I've heard there is no noticeable difference in either version of the game. There aren't too many games that can keep me occupied for more than a week or so lately but this one took me several months to complete and was well worth it.

Amazing game!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been playing this game nonstop since the day it came out and I've barely seen a third of Hyrule. The open world in this game is enormous and filled with things to see and do. There are still many familiar elements that are very "classic" LoZ and places like the Lost Woods return from older games, but it's really a very different game. It's clearly more of a western style RPG than the older games, but it's still really fun and exciting to play. It's a good game for people new to the series and longtime fans alike.

Great game with some things I'm not a fan of
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the game for the most part. Great graphics, solid gameplay. They did change the Zelda formula ALOT for this one. While I love the sense of scale and exploration, I miss the classic Zelda dungeons and weapons. This game strips much of what made Zelda games so good and tries new stuff. Weapons were a big part of zelda, but now your weapons break, alot. If you love a weapon you find, remember where you find it because itll last you maybe 5 minutes. The weapon system can be very annoying and it completely changed the way I played the game. The dungeons are also a step back for me. I love the long dungeons of previous games where you get a new tool, do some puzzles, and fight a boss. This game takes that out mostly. There are 4 main dungeons and 120 mini dungeons called shrines. None of them are as good or long as in previous Zelda games. I missed those old Zelda tropes every time I did a new dungeon, hoping the next would be a traditional Zelda dungeon. But that never came. I like this game, but sometimes it doesn't feel much like Zelda. Overall, it's still a great game. But it needs more Zelda. It's a bold new direction for the franchise, that's for sure.

One of the best games I've ever played
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have played 90% of the zeldas and this is easily top 3. Ocarina of time and link between worlds are probably the other 2. This game is fun start to finish. I put in 52 hours, beat the game, and there's still tons to do. An absolutel must buy. Cons: the frame rate isn't consistent. They dropped a patch on 3/30 but I just beat the game so I haven't seen the improvements...yet. Horses aren't as easy to come by Side note: Temples are no longer the main focus, the world is but it's still amazing

The Reason You Will Buy A Nintendo Switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s pretty much a guarantee if you have bought or are buying a Switch, you are buying BOTW. This is the game for the Switch. It’s a pretty flawless game if you ask me, an extremely compelling 40-50 Hours. 10/10

An amazing adventure in the land of hurdle.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a fan of the Zelda series since the 80s when the first game came out on the NES. Breath of the Wild makes the franchise relevant again making it feel like a very modern game in all the right ways. The open game world is insanely huge without feeling empty. There have been a lot of great games in the series, the original, link to the past, OoT, MM, WW, Link Between Worlds to name a few of my favorites... this has definitely earned its spot among those titles, possibly topping the list IMO.

Amazing, but not a masterpiece
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game has gotten an astonishing amount of praise lately, and most of it is well deserved. Breath of the Wild's Hyrule is immense, and beautifully crafted with loving detail, and the game's controls are simple and intuitive. Unfortunately, there are some things that take you out of the experience. Weapon frailty is a major problem at least in the beginning stages of the game. You pick up weapons frequently, but they hardly ever make it through an encounter with a group of enemies before disintegrating in your hands uselessly, forcing you to immediately open up the quick menu to find something new to replace it. Link's stamina is also an issue. Swimming even small distances to an island off the coast is a trying effort; if you don't make it there in time, expect to drown, lose a heart, and be unceremoniously teleported back to the shore you started at. Breath of the Wild is stunning and timeless, but it is a slightly flawed experience. Fortunately, none of that really stops the game from being fun, engrossing, and refreshingly entertaining for hours on end.

Great game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not a super fan of this franchise and I don't really like the open-world games because exploration is kind of boring for me, but, this game introduce me in a new point of view of the exploration and it really keep me attached to the game. It's very addictive. The story is great, the music sublime, and the general game mechanism is very cool, the battle system could be better. I would recommend this game for everyone that want to feel and enjoy one of the best games ever.
