I am, sadly, a first time Zelda player. For my first ever Zelda experience, Breath of the Wild is by far the best way to start. This game is incredible on so many levels. I am truly happy for the experiences so far! My Wii U has never seen so much play time before.

It's not your typical Zelda game, and if you just switched out the characters it probably wouldn't make you think of Zelda, but it's a joy to play. My only complaint is the world can feel empty at times.

This game is great. I haven't beaten it yet but I am having a blast so far. This game is on the switch but it was developed for the Wii U. Don't be afraid to pick it up on this system. From what I've heard the Switch version doesn't run as smoothly as this version.

Breath of the Wild brings The Legend of Zelda back to the open world format that it started with in The Legend of Zelda on NES. The game is up and controls well. The main complaint that I have with the game is the limited durability of weapons, bows and shields.

It has exceeded my expectations. The monsters are smarter, the puzzles interesting and the physics work. It feels like the first time I explored and played in Mario 64's world, discovering all the ways there were to interact with game play and characters.

If you have a Wii U and want to play Breath of the Wild, don't hesitate to purchase it. I have both versions and while there are very minor graphical differences, the game still plays great on the last generation console. Highly recommend.

This is a truly amazing game. It was well worth waiting for through the various delays. A great attention to detail was paid. My son, 6 years old, has even loved it! He and I haven't touched one of the almost 30 other Wii U games we have since we got it!

The game is one of the best Zelda games available, and you're not missing almost anything by playing on the Wii U; just plan to use a Pro controller. One of the most satisfying experiences not just on the Wii U, but for playing video games in general.

After years of waiting and anticipation building, this game more than delivered on all promises! A great adventure game. Concerns about lag time and frame rates seem to have been addressed since early demo versions that have been touring the country.

I have played nearly every Zelda game and this is one of my favorites. The technology/future aspect of the story is a bit cheesy, but is geared toward today's generation. I look forward to the next couple of long nights powering through this one.

Unexpected greatness from a series I've long respected from a distance, but failed to connect with personally. It's a very different game than previous installments, but still maintains the feel of Zelda while modernizing it for the next generation.

I bought this game for one of my friends who was a big Zelda fan, and he was incredibly happy about it! I even got to watch him play for a bit and am definitely wanting to pick this game up for myself when I can get a Nintendo Switch for myself.

This is one of my favorite games by Nintendo in a long time. This plays fine on Wii U, so I was happy to pick it up on a system I already owned and had zero issues with the game's performance. I highly recommend playing with a pro controller.

This game is legitimately the best game I've ever played. So much variety and rewarding challenge. If you like video games, you owe it to yourself to play this. Haven't been sucked into a game for over 12 hour play sessions... ever... until this.

I bought this for the Wii U after playing it on a friends Switch. The game experience is exactly the same, amazing. I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything having the Wii U version. Highly recommended if you have a Wii U and not a Switch.

I've never spent so much time on a video game after launch. It's been over a month since the game came out and I'm almost through it but want to continue through a bunch of the side quests before I finish the game. It was well worth the wait.

This was a game purchased when the Wii U was purchased and some how it was damaged. This is the only game my kids asked to be replaced

BOTW is a great Zelda game. I love the massive open world. It has a lot to do. The biggest negatives to me are no classic style dungeons and enemy variety. Still sets a new standard for what a Zelda game should be.

I needed this game immediately, I can hold off on the switch for now I just really wanted to play this as soon as possible. I love this game.

Game is as good as advertised. Probably the main reason the switch hasn't flopped out of the gate. The announce of this title way back when for the Wii U was the only reason I bothered getting a Wii U, so that purchase feels justified now.
