Customers are saying
Customers are overwhelmingly positive about the gameplay, open world, and exploration in "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," praising the fun and engaging experience and vast content. However, customers expressed some negative feedback regarding weapon durability and occasional performance issues, such as frame rate drops. Some also found the controls to have a learning curve and the difficulty to be challenging. Despite these drawbacks, many players still consider it an amazing and special game.

Great game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, I technically don't own this anymore as I accidentally bought it for the Wii and meant to purchase it for the switch. However the game is exactly the same for either system and so far I think it is great period one thing my wife noticed is that there is no Overworld music, something she really misses while playing. The game is fairly difficult without being too over-the-top, the enemies and puzzles are about right for a Zelda game. Overall I think it is a great game but I wish it wasn't the only reason I owned a Nintendo switch at the moment.

Nicely done
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent game, though it took me a bit to get used to. The concept of the divine beasts felt thin at first, but that was most likely because I'm so used to the Zelda dungeon format. They kind of overdid it a bit with the weapon breaking system - it's an interesting management concept, but they break so easily that the value of the cool weapons you work to obtain feels diminished. Kudos to the Big N for breaking tradition to add interest to a cherished series. Plus it's huge - I haven't dropped that much time on a game in quite a while.

long anticipated and worth the wait
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've played most every Zelda game since the 80's and was looking forward to this one. Haven't played too far into it yet but so far after a few hours in it's been worth the wait. It looks great and very detailed. It's perhaps a bit more of a challenge than many previous Zelda games. I had a little trouble picking up on the combat system at first. If you're a fan of the series then I can't see why you wouldn't enjoy this one as well.

Proper Legend of Zelda Game with Open World

Best Zelda game to date!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is the ultimate Zelda game! Everything is amazing in this. It's more open than the previous titles. It's basically Skyrim, but Zelda!

Wii U's Swansong
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is Nintendo's last game for the Wii U and any Zelda fans who stuck with the system this long will not be disappointed. I have been playing video games since before the original "The Legend of Zelda" on the NES. This game has a feeling of wonder and adventure that I haven't felt since the original game and "A Link to the Past". For me this doesn't just qualify as the best Wii U game of all time, but possibly one of the best games I have ever played. Note: This is based on around 20-30 hours of playtime with plenty more to come.

May be my favorite Zelda so far.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have played all the Zelda games pretty much when they came out. My favorite up till this point has always been Links Adventures (Zelda II), although the first was amazing as well. This game plays a bit different, and is much more of an open world/exploration game then the others, but it's also huge, has great combat, and lasts a VERY long time. I played it on the Wii U, and am very happy with that version. I still have not finished it btw, but have well over 30 hours into it. It will probably be my favorite game of this year.

Perfect Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is everything! I bought this game for the Wii U but it is so incredible that I bought a Nintendo Switch and will be buying the Switch version too. It's a perfect game, and I don't mind owning 2 copies of the same game. I have spent over 60 hours playing this game and I am still not bored of it, and I am still discovering new things every time. I can't say enough how beautiful this game is, the world is so vast, and the story is perfect. I love the voice acting; it really humanizes the characters. 11/10 game

Amazing Game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I pre-ordered this game for my brother (along with a copy for myself for the switch). I will tell you right now, if someone that you know also has a copy of the game, watch them play it. I guarantee that the way they play will be just as interesting as the first time that you played (everyone plays the game differently). My brother is having a lot of fun playing the game, therefore I can honestly give the game a perfect five, if you are thinking about buying this game as a gift, or for yourself I highly recommend it.

Really enjoy it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like that there are a lot of things to do and gather in the game. I don't like the fact that your weapons break every couple of fights but as long as you make sure to keep spares, you should be fine. Overall I really like the game and have enjoyed it so far. I've been waiting on a new Zelda for a long time now and it doesn't disappoint.

Last Great Wii U Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have played many Zelda games in the past, and with the exception of the first entry and The Wind Waker I could never finish them because they never seemed to hold my attention. Breath of the Wild is beautiful, immersive, and most importantly, fun! I cannot stop playing! One game session could take up to four hours, leaving me wanting to play more. The game also encourages one to think critically when facing complex situations. I can see myself playing BotW for many years. I may never even want to buy a Switch.

Incredible Journey in a Massive, Immersive World
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow. My good friend and I barreled through the main quest during a long and extended weekend, and this game is amazing. I'm just as excited to start a new game and take my time to try and collect everything. Breath of the Wild is the killer app for the Nintendo Switch and a magical swan song for the Nintendo Wii U (Wii U version reviewed). What a way to transition to the next generation system. Just...wow!

One of the best Zelda games
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Short review as the game has been out for awhile now: it’s one of the best entries in the series. It feels like a reimagining of the very first Zelda game for NES. It has an open world that takes hours and hours to explore if you’re persistent enough. The game forgoes labrynths, and instead has Link complete dozens of smaller shrines hidden throughout the game. With lush graphics reminiscent of a mature cartoon, challenging bosses, and a sense of mystery & wonder, it’s highly recommended.

Another Great Zelda Game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Breath of the Wild stands as one of the best Legend of Zelda games to ever have come out. It definitely changes to dynamic to the game series in a way that has not been seen since the original Zelda. There are a number of aspects which are highlights, but one of the best is that every that you can see from the beginning is reachable. I have played the game for over 90 hours so far and I am still finding new and exciting characters, items, locations, etc. A must own for any Zelda, Nintendo or open world fan!
