I'm so glad i have a game where i can actually use my Wii U! It looks great, its fun and the open world is awesome.

This game is a masterpiece. There's so, so, so much to do in Hyrule. The world is massive, and you feel as if you can go anywhere and do anything. See a mountain in the distance? You can climb it. See an interesting looking cave? You can explore it. And every time, the game will reward you for doing so. The game is brimming with character, too (like most Nintendo titles). I've enjoyed every hour I've spent with this game, it's characters, and the landscape of Hyrule.

This game makes you feel like you're on a real adventure. The environmental effects alone make this game far superior to any other game I've played like this. Even in its own franchise. If you have a Wii U and are looking to move to the Switch but can't because you won't settle for the scalper prices, give your old, dead system one last hurrah and get this game. You won't regret it. This is what an open environment ought to be in a game. Way to set the bar, Nintendo.

Breath of the Wild, the new Zelda game for the Wii U and Switch. Fantastic open world gameplay. Instant classic.

This is by far my favorite installment in the franchise so far. The open world concept exceeded expectations and the amount of gameplay alone makes the game worth every penny. I've noticed spots lag when I jerk the camera view quickly and there was one spot in the desert that the sand didn't load at all but it never affects the gameplay. I really love everything about the game though sand holes and all. Beautiful colors and landscapes and very realistic gameplay.

I have played pretty much every Zelda game to come out and this game continues the great tradition of major console releases and raises the bar with the open game play. I enjoyed that I could complete the game in which order I chose and I know if I replayed the game now, I could defeat the devine beasts in a whole different order and get a different experience. I will often just walk about Hyrule for hours just look for new things to explore. Great work.

Great game, combination of skyrim and farcry with the theme of the legend of zelda, a new classic for nintendo.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild is perhaps the best open-world game ever made, and with so many 10/10 reviews out there, you probably don't need me to tell you why. What you should know, however, is that the Wii U version is not the best way to experience this game. In addition to a somewhat murky 720p resolution and a complete lack of actual Gamepad support (except for off-screen play) the framerate issues on Wii U are severe. Any time specific lighting or particle effects are in play, the framerate tanks. The experience is at its worst in BOTW's various forests and villages however, where the game doesn't just drop to 20 FPS (and even below), it stays there for the duration of your time in these environments. Honestly, it looks bad and it negatively affects gameplay, leading to a lesser experience on Wii U. This version is by no means unplayable, and BOTW is still a great game on Wii U, but if you have a Switch or are planning on buying one in the near future, you will definitely have a better experience with BOTW on that console.

I had been eagerly anticipating the release of this game, and it's finally here! This is the version for the Wii-U, and I bought it because I was unable to snag a Nintendo Switch due to selling out so fast. As a huge Zelda fan who owns every Zelda game ever made along with their respective original consoles, I had to play this game as soon as it was released. This is a BIG game with endless areas to explore at will, which is every Zelda-game player's dream!

We got this game for our 11 year old daughter... She's having a blast with it. The game is very entertaining, the world animation is sort of "cartoonish" but very well done, so she's really enjoying it. It includes dialogues and not all is given out, so the player needs to explore and figure out things with very little guidance, which makes it a lot of fun. Totally recommended for little kids, as the content is really innocent and fairy-story-like.

I've NEVER been into those open world games, there's simply too much to do, and I lose interest, the world feels a little too big, yet somehow, with all of breath of the widl's vastness, I never feel overwhelmed, I never feel like there's nowhere I can't or shouldn't go. The world is open to be explored, the combat, while taking a bit getting used to, is functional and great, the music and the ambience is unmatched. A welcome change to the Zelda formula.

Solidly fun Zelda game. Lots to explore and do. Only issue is what most people have mentioned and that is the framerate. It severely dips in even the most non hectic of situations with little to no enemies on screen. Still, it's a wonderful experience if your into any kind of open world games.

This new more hardcore Zelda game brings a breath of fresh air with it's open world and difficult enemies.

The best Zelda game since Orcarina of Time! The beautiful open world and story make it an epic adventure.
