My kids and I enjoyed playing this game. We bought the guide as well that was full of artwork and helpful tips. We love the fact that you can use all your amibos to get extra items in the game. It was hours of fun it’s not a game you can beat in just a week you’ll enjoy hours upon hours of game time with the family with puzzles and challenges galore.

Sad to see the Wii U go, but this game showed that it had potential. Mechanics and gameplay are good, a lot of great ideas put into this game.

Very fun and a unique experience to lose yourself in for a few days. Not a fan of durability systems but they're in no ways a deal breaker.

Nintendo has done it. They've achieve nirvana in the gaming industry. They've taken the open world of The Legend of Zelda for the NES and brought it to the contemporary standard of graphics in gaming. I recommend this to anyone with not only as passion for gaming but a passion for adventure.

I got this for the Wii U, and it's wonderful! Zelda: BotW is a magical game. If you already have a Wii U and don't want to buy the Switch yet or can't afford to, I recommend getting the Wii U version. It looks great and is just as smooth as the Switch version. (It's been recently updated/patched to fix some of the original frame rate issues.) Seriously, buy this game!

I'm a big Nintendo fan but not really as big of a Zelda fans as others. But I have to say this is definitely one of the best games ever. I have become sick of open world games but this really breathed new life into it and exploring this world is so much fun. The game is one of the most polished games I have ever played There's no difference from the Switch version

BotW is one of my favorite games of all time, and it runs really well on the WiiU. I recommend playing it with a Pro controller, but it works out well enough on the gamepad as well. Do yourself a favor and experience the masterpiece if you have a WiiU and didn't pick up a switch yet.

I've been gaming for 20 years and it's rarely been better than this, one of the best open worlds I've seen in a game, between the 120 shrines, the massive monsters, hunting animals for food needed to survive and dozens of side quests, there's nearly no limit to what there is to do in Hyrule this go round, Nintendo definitely raised the bar with this one...again.

I've been a fan of the entire Legend of Zelda game series, but it had gotten a little stagnant. This game, however, is a whole new world and has me completely hooked. Just wish the side quests mattered a little more, and had some caves/underground areas in the world. Still, a GREAT game!

What a great swan song for the Wii U. Being the last game to be released for the Wii U, Zelda was worth the wait. Gorgeous graphics, immersive with an expansive world that will keep you playing for hours and hours exploring and solving puzzles. I love this version of Zelda because it refreshes the franchise while still staying true to what makes Zelda games great.

This game is near-perfect. Ocarina of Time will probably always be my favorite Zelda game, but this game is as solid as video games get. The biggest disappointment in this game is the storyline, which is about as weak as they come. There are also occasionally motion-sensing controls that are frustrating. Beyond those two minor annoyances, this game is way solid.

If you don't have the funds for a Nintendo Switch, don't be discouraged because this version is virtually IDENTICAL in every way. You will not be getting a pared down or lesser experience. This game was lovingly crafted and it can be felt in almost ever facet of the design. This game deserves to be played and is a fitting piece to any library. BUY THIS SOMEHOW.

Open world! Many things to do. Best nintendo switch game ever.

Believe the (positive) hype. If you like open world games, this is easily among the best. Most negative comments are from people who either don't like open world games (which is certainly a valid opinion) or are just fanboys trying to bash this game for no good reason. If you have a Wii U and no Switch this is still just as great of a game and experience.

So much to do in this game. Was going to get the switch this holiday but this game has saved my Wii U. Best Nintendo game in a while.

The amount of hours you will sink in this game will be enough to satisfy your purchase of the Wii U or Switch and the price of the game alone!. If this is not in your gaming library yet, do yourself a favor and pick this game up and enjoy the beauty of what is about to take place!

The BOTW Zelda is really great. The ability to go anywhere. The added element of cooking, and crafting, is nice as well. The map is absolutely massive and the art style is spectacular. The version I got was the Wii U version because I am waiting for more games to release on the switch. The minor frame rate issues are not a big deal. It is a fantastic game.

Great game with open world environment, allowing for interacting at multiple levels with the environment and other characters. The graphics and story line are in line with what I would expect from this Zelda series.

Legend of Zelda: The Breath of the Wild is an amazing title, reaching out of its comfort zone into a new style of gameplay. The customizable clothing/armor as will as breakable weapons and more in depth world interaction cause the game to be an amazing hit. This particular gamer gives it a 4.5 of 5 stars for a simple reason, no game is perfect. While easily ignored by older players the problem with this game still remains. It's complex. The game now requires strategy and puzzle solving ability beyond what was previously needed. And while this is a more then welcome addition to Zelda fans and just gamers in general, I believe this would be overly frustrating and difficult for a younger audience. Not to say that kids wouldn't enjoy it. Just that they are less likely to.
