Customers are saying

Customers are overwhelmingly positive about the gameplay, open world, and exploration in "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," praising the fun and engaging experience and vast content. However, customers expressed some negative feedback regarding weapon durability and occasional performance issues, such as frame rate drops. Some also found the controls to have a learning curve and the difficulty to be challenging. Despite these drawbacks, many players still consider it an amazing and special game.

This game is amazing!! I got it for the switch and got my husband hooked so we got him one for the Wii U. They both get used on a daily basis!! Nintendo has outdone themselves with this game!!

I have been looking foreward to this game since it was first announced back at E3, I think 2015. When I first started playing, I was amazed with how beautiful the graphics were, the music was soft for those quiet moment, the silent times were a gift to behold, the voice acting so far is good, and yes, you can climb and explore EVERYWHERE!! It takes time and dedication to play this, but for anyone doing so it might actually take their breath away. Have fun! :)

This has to be one of the best Zelda games ever. So much content in this game with all the quests, areas to explore and the side quests. Great story line, great visuals and one of the best integration of the amiibos for a Nintendo game. The size of the world in this game is huge and is larger than Fallout 4 (even with the expansions). Oh and did I mention all the great controls from the horse you can ride to the climbing, gliding and powers you wield.

The WiiU version of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is virtually identical to the Nintendo Switch version, which is to its merit. Nintendo did an excellent job of patching some frame rate drops from the initial release, which greatly improves the experience, and all of the downloadable content is available. The game itself is my favorite 3D Zelda game, with a breathtaking open world to create memorable stories for yourself.

This is one of my favorite Zelda games ever. The game has amazing style, looks and plays great. You can't go wrong with the Wii U or Switch version. I consider this essential gaming.

I love this game! I do miss the old style, the dungeons and set path. I also REALLY miss the weapons as all the ones in this game so far break. I know there is a master sword but I haven't found it yet. Some of the monsters are REALLY hard especially when you haven't really powered up as you normally would if there is a set path to help you get stronger. But the game itself is beautiful. I still really enjoy it, I'm just a sucker for the old ways.

Spent countless hours playing the 1st Zelda and its sequel years ago. This game does not disappoint. A great mix of adventure and battles. The story is good with lots of side quests.

Great Final Last Hooray for the Wii U

Great game with tons to do. My only complaints are nitpicks with the lack of tablet integration other than off screen play and the breaking of your weapons by looking at them gets annoying. However, the sense of exploration is infectious and keeps one going. There's always something just over the next hill to distract you. And while you're on your way there you'll get distracted by something else. Clearly, it's a must buy if you have a Wii U.

The thing about The Legend of Zelda games is that they rarely come out as full fledged games. You can tell with this one that they spent a lot of time perfecting the world they envisioned. I love this Zelda game because it brings back the challenge and doesn't hold your hand at all. The world is amazing, the combat is fun, the graphics are good (mostly on account of the art style chosen). You will not regret the purchase of this game.

I've been paying the LoZ games sincei was a child and controllers had only two buttons. These games have been one of the most well done games consistently and this game is no different. The graphics are beautiful, the story great as always. The gameplay is easy to jump right in. The only thing i didn't care for was the way they changed dungeons. I miss the end level bosses like in past games, but the game itself makes up for it

I've been playing video games since I can remember and this by far is the best game that I have ever played. The vastness of the game, the graphics, the compelling story to it. The limitless to the amount of time you can spend exploring the world is unbelievable. This game will eat up the next couple months and is worth every dollar it costs

This is a great Zelda game! It brings Zelda to the modern age in terms of gameplay. You are free to explore this open world with little guidance and have an actual adventure. Even on the Wii U it still looks great and runs great. I haven't run into any technical issue that makes me regret playing on the Wii U instead of the Switch. If you are a Zelda fan, get this game! If you love open world adventure games, get this game!

Absolutely beautiful game. Even the rotten 12-year-old fighting me for playing time is awed by it. We can each play at our own pace (I'm savoring the exploring and gathering, he's digging the special rune powers and fighting with every makeshift weapon he picks up), but we're loving the story and how intuitive it all is. Lots of new challenges and tasks but still that familiar Zelda feel. Highly recommend!

I bought The Legend of Zelda - Breath of the Wild on the Nintendo Wii-U as a gift & I haven't heard of any complaints as of yet. So, if they're happy, I'm happy.

This is the best game I've ever played. I will admit, the frame rate gets pretty bad at times but it's nothing I can't tolerate. The controls are a bit complex and take a while to master. A Pro Controler is recommended. Overall I love it. It's a 50 hour, up to 100 hour game to complete. It's definitely time well wasted. I played for 10 hours straight and still wanted more. It's a must buy for either system!

I will say I don't love the game as much as other people do for a couple reasons - more on that in a bit. But the way the world wraps you in its setting and drives you into the experience is really like nothing that has come before it. It's all the small things really, like how dogs will mimic you, each time you find a seedling, or when you finally find the last ingredient for a recipe you've been trying to perfect. It's not a perfect game for me (and only me) because I despise the weapon durability system and there aren't enough fast travel points. As a father, I barely have time to play games and when it takes 30 - 45 minutes AFTER teleporting to a hotspot, it take a toll in trying to finish side quests. And I just hate weapon durability, nothing much more beyond that. Still a fun experience that everyone should play. It will be interesting to see where they take the next game!

Just as the original Zelda, this is a truly open world Zelda. Getting through the starting area may seem a little tedious, but once you rush through it you can do anything you have the skills for. Cooking food and purchasing or upgrading outfits are important to survival, as well as picking up powerful weapons. Don't fall in love with your weapons though, they will break with use and need replaced.
