Who doesn’t love Zelda? It’s a good “filler” game while we all continue to wait on BOTW2!

Great game that gets too much hate. Definitely worth a play! Runs really smooth at 60fps throughout the game too

    Great Game

The game is fun to play, but the camera angles are kind of annoying since it constantly needs to be adjusted. Overall the game isn't that bad. Keep in mind this is an older Wii game that was remastered. I prefer Breath of the Wild or Age of Collammity since the controls are easier to use, plus more action.

    Underrated Modern Zelda

Kind of the black sheep of Zelda games. This is the one modern Zelda that I didn’t finish back on the Wii. Glad they rereleased it and fixed a lot of the issues in the original. It really does have a great story and the characters play a way bigger part in this iteration. If you prefer the classic Zelda dungeon gameplay over Breath of the Wild definitely pick this one up.

Game play was sort of mediocre compared to other Zelda titles, but still okay for updated graphics!

    Pretty.... decent?

I played the original, and visually this game is leagues above that. If you're on some quest to play all the zelda games then this is the way to play SS, BUT as much as I love the zelda series, there is nothing that enticed me to go back to this game aside from "well, it came out, lets give it a go." The main relationship with Zelda and Link is the only reason I think you should play this game vs just watching someone else play it. It's the thing that drives the story forward, and if you aren't hooked on it at the beginning, then I'm not sure what else you have to look forward to in the game aside from some decent to above average dungeons (two really great ones, IMO), roughly the same for the bosses, a lot of backtracking, and general just kind of uninspired... blah. The jump to 60fps looks nice and smooth, however. It's something I didn't know I wanted until I saw it in action.

I can always find a good selection at Best Buy! Great selection and good price on the The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD. My daughter was happy to open it Christmas Morrrrrning.

    Mid-tier Zelda remaster

This is far from my personal favorite Zelda game. Even after collecting everything and completing the game, it never felt intuitive or that I was 100% confident in using the non-motion control scheme, and I since I primarily play in handheld mode the motion control option wasn't practical to use either. This is probably the game's biggest weakness. That being said, the Expressionist-inspired aesthetics are consistently beautiful (especially on an OLED Switch) and the story is strong, especially if you're already familiar with the various tropes of the series.

Not nearly as good as breath of the wild. The controls can take getting used to. I did not like the controls without the motion, it is a little laggy.

I was surprised Best Buy had any of this game left in stock. It was the last one they had and my hard to buy for grandson had just told he wanted this.

This game it totally worth it. We played last Zelda "breath of the wild". So when the game started - it looked very primitive, but after some progress we got used to graphics and combat dynamics. After that the game was great! Complex enough to feel good after solving riddles and puzzles. 30+ hours of decent game for the price is good in my book.

It’s just like the original Skyward Sword, but… —You have the option to use the control stick instead of motion controls. —The animation is way smoother —They may some of the cutscenes skippable, which is great if you’re already familiar with the story It was always a great game, but those tweaks make this the game the original should have been!

This is a pretty cool port. I know this game is very hot or miss with fans due to the OG handholding functions, but it is a nice “beginning” to the franchise.

If you’re a fan of Zelda you need it own this game. It was originally designed to be used with the Wii Mote but the controls were re-designed to work with the controls available to the Switch. I think they did pretty well all things considered.
