We didn't have a chance to see the movie in the theater but based on word of mouth added it to our DVD collection. Beautifully shot with wonderful dialog and a story that kept us wanting more, I couldn't recommend it more.

. . . but don't call it Science Fiction. As an Engineer I definitely appreciated the dedication to a realistic portrayal of a visit to the red planet. I just wish this type of dedication to exploration still existed today.

This movie really showcases Damon’s ability to command the screen with most the picture focused solely on him on Mars. Plenty of laughs and some great science info in an action packed movie!

Wonderful movie, 4K with dolby vision makes colors pop! Oh and bonus - couple of mins of extra scenes in the extended version

This movie I was hesitant to watch because it didn't interest me, but wow had to purchase this because it won a lot of awards and had a lot of buzz. This movie was very good felt bummed that I didnt see it at the theatre.

'The Martian' has now won two Golden Globes for: • 'Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy' (which is pushing it, for the category). • 'Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy' for Matt Damon.

You would think that a movie about one guy just hanging out on a planet would get boring, but not so in this movie. I love Matt Damon movies anyways but he is what makes this movie even better.

Item was received promptly, without issues. One of the all time great movies and this looks absolutely gorgeous on a 4K tv.

The Martian is excellent. I would recommend it to anyone and actually have several times. This movie has something for everyone, drama, suspense, action, comedy and obviously science fiction. Plus Matt Damon is hilarious.

Bought the extended version on blu ray -- the additional scenes, while not completely necessary to the movie, added more color to the situation Mark Watney was in . . . again, great movie -- great bonus features too!

I bought this before seeing, going just off of the reviews. I was extremely impressed and it's become one of my favorite movies the last few years. Highly recommend as the acting, soundtrack, script, etc is all fantastic.

Excellent story. Not just a sci-fi flick but a very good story as well as acting by the entire cast. The movie has a nice pace and a few moments where you don't know what's going to happen. Kept my attention throughout.

When I first saw the trailer I wasn’t sure what to think of this movie. However once I watched it for myself, it instantly became one of my all time favorite movies. I’d highly recommend it

The Martian is a very compelling movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Matt Damon does an excellent job playing a likeable character on a dramatic journey. There's just enough comic relief to lighten it up.

This movie was fantastic. Matt Damon gave an outstanding performance. It's no wonder he was nominated for best actor in this role. This movie warrants more than one viewing. A great addition to any movie fans collection.

I waited for a steelbook release and was pleasantly surprised to find that it also includes an extended edition. Loved the book and enjoyed the movie. Hopefully this is the last time Matt Damon needs to be saved.

This movie had a lot of hype upon its release at the movies and on video....went in purchasing with high expectations and this movie delivered. The story is well written and it looks amazing on bluray. Very good overall.

Went to the movies to see it and decided it was worth owning on blu ray. A nice addition to my movie collection - thoroughly enjoyed it! Not quite sure though how the awards shows are classifying this film as a comedy???

You know how expensive it is to watch movies in the theater these days? Usually just pick up the BluRay from Best Buy when it comes out and watch in the comfort of my home with my Best Buy outfitted entertainment center.

Let me say, my husband wanted this but I had my doubts & I just knew this was not my kind of movie. I am so glad I watched it. It was so well done, it kept my attention the entire movie. You can't miss with this one.
