Mary Tyler Moore brings on her classic "spunk" in episode one and never lets up. As single, career woman breaking into the news business, Moore gels absolutely perfectly with the rest of the cast. The chemistry between Mary and Lou Grant is classic and sets the gold standard that all shows should be measured by (maybe only surpassed by Sam and Diane).

The Mary Tyler Moore Show is one of the great TV Shows of all-time. The first season was where it all started with the introduction of great characters such as Ted Baxter, Rhoda Morgenstern, Phyllis Lindstrom, Lou Grant, Murray Slaughter and the great Mary Richards. This is an excellent collection well packaged and easy to use for the viewer.

This series was and is a classic, not only because of the way it portrayed a single career woman, but also that it employed women writers. Mary also owned her own production company at a time when it wasn't done (the '70's). Every major player in the series later got their own series--Rhoda, Phyllis, Lou, Murray, and Sue Ann.

Remembered to print out my rewards certificate so went back in hopes the first season that I had by-passed the night before would still be available. Quality for a show that long ago transferred to video nicely. And with the certificate was almost like stealing.

This was my dad's favorite show and I remember watching it growing ip. When I saw it at best buy I just had to get it for him. He loved it and the price was terrific as well! Definitely would recommend this for anyone who used to watch the show. Brings back some great memories.

I grew up watching reruns and find it great to own the DVDs and rewatching all the episodes with my parents. The cast of the show is very likable and relatable making this show a classic forever.

This item was very well priced, although the lowest price available had not been marked on it - a common problem. Glad they had it since Mary Tyler Moore just died. Worked great!

I love the first episode because of Lou and his statement of Spunk It introduced some great characters in other episodes and was always fun to watch

This is the first in a series of Mary Tyler Moore television shows. It brings me back to a gentler time.

I love this Show and this DVD brought back many memories. Good show to have for your collection.
