As someone who was highly interested in this relative of the Marvel Cinematic X-Universe feature; I also did my best to stay away from spoilers and reveals, but was aware of the constant rewrites n edits this film endured. But I was still excited to see what this "Mutant Horror Film" would offer. Now it wasn't everything I thought it would be but it was a very decent film considering it's conception and where it may or may not be placed in the MCU (most likely nowhere) and what the producers thought it would. Decent film and I didn't regret watching it and it's a wicked steelbook! :)

This is an excellent 4K movie. The visual effects will impress any enthusiastic movie aficionados. The story is well written, and the actors are best of the best, in every scene.This will easily go in the collection, of great movies. Thank you Best Buy.

This movie was worth the wait for its release due to multiple release delays. Really enjoyed the psychological aspects of the characters too along with the action.

The New Mutants is a very good movie. I love the Mutant movies and I love the New Mutants. Great story with all the special effects.

I always liked the regular line of X-Men movies so this was different but it was good.

I know it lacks all other X-Men people but it has a great focus on these kids.

Better than I thought it would be. Strange plot but lots of surprise twists. The reason I dropped one star is for the over all purchasing experience. The USPS lost my package and claimed it was delivered. Then after I filled my complaint. Like magic about a week later it shows up in my mailbox. Package was ripped open and taped back together. Nice Job. I don't blame Best Buy for this but wish a ship to the store option had been available. Mail service has steadily gone down in my area. This is not the first time but one of several incidents to that I have had to deal with this year.

It's a MCU story, with a few twists. It's about a young group of Mutants who find themselves in a "treatment center". Supposedly its to cure them of being mutants. Sound familiar to anyone? The cast is made up of Maisie Williams( Game of Thrones), Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, Alice Braga, Blu Hunt, and Henry Zaga. Each character has their own unique ability, and they think they are being trained to become X-Men. The truth is that they're being trained to become killers for a company called Essex. The film is worth a watch and you should give a try>

I've waited many years for this movie to come out (ever since I saw previews for it in a theater and marked the release date on a calendar). Constant postponements only got me mad/sad and frustrated. When I saw that it was finally going to come out as a direct to DVD film, I made sure to order it in advance. I wasn't disappointed. It's a good movie, not fantastic; but still entertaining with a few references to the X_MEN franchise.

I loved the idea of this one...an X-men universe based horror movie. I used to read the New Mutants comics back in the 80's, so it was a lot of fun seeing those characters on the screen. It's a shame we won't get to see these characters continue forward in these roles now that Disney has bought Fox and the X-men characters are probably getting re-booted into the MCU. But after they made anything possible with the multi-verse concept, who knows.

This was one of the few movies to come into theatres in 2020, and I got a chance to see it. The movie will pretty much appeal only to fans of the X-Men series. In that context, it's not as bad as you might have heard. It has some good performances from the cast, and the effects are decent. Technically, this 4K disc is great! Picture quality is WAY above what I saw in the theatre, and the disc sports a nice Dolby Atmos track that will give your home theatre a workout. In short..you could do FAR worse things with 94 minutes than sit down and watch this movie.

I was pleasantly surprised with this one, but be warned it started off real slow and came on strong at the end. I don't want to spoil any major plot points so I'll just say it's set in the X-Men universe before the acquisition by Disney. It's a story about young mutants, based on the 1980's comic series. It was indeed a bit on the creepy side as I had heard, not quite straight up horror but definitely elements of scares in here. I'm not sure why it had so many changes and reshoots in production, but it came out enjoyable.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this film. I wish I could give it a 3.5 because I went into the film not expecting much and while it is not among the best of the X-Men films it was better than Dark Phoenix. It is most definitely not a horror film though. I would say it is more superhero by way of John Hughes with a dash of horror for some zest. The acting is ok at best and Anya Taylor-Joy's russian accent? Atrocious. I thought I was watching Rocky and Bullwinkle every time she was on screen.

This movie isn’t horrible how people put it out to be. If your looking for and X-men movie well you will be disappointed and that’s why this was given thumbs down. Yes it’s marvel but with a twist of horror and a good plot that’s what I enjoyed about it. For all you horror fans this movie will put you in the mind of a nightmare on elm 3 : the dream warriors but without Freddy. Lol! And this was shot in 8k so if you want a demo reference 4K to show off to company well here it is.

New Mutants had a lot of potential, and it mostly lives up to it. Its biggest problem, I think, was the marketing not excactly reflecting what the movie is, but that's not a new problem. It's at least a somewhat fresh take on the superhero genre, even if some of the story falls flat at times. If you go in with an open mind, you may just have a pretty fun time. I do wish the steelbook was a little more vibrant, even if it does fit the movie fairly well.

I am a huge X-man fan. New Mutants is good, but it's not great. Like I said, I'll buy X-men films, because it's my favorite franchise. Unfortunately, this one has not lived up to some of the past films in the series. Die hard fans like me will still get enjoyment from this film, but I don't know if that casual fan will like it enough to purchase it.

New Mutants by any means is not groundbreaking BUT I did find this movie entertaining. I didn't think this movie was bad or great. It was just okay. With all the negative reviews circulating around, you have to understand that this was directed with a really low budget. I thought the characters were on point (especially Anya Taylor-Joy as Magik) which she stole the movie and the resemblance from the comics was spot on. If you're a big Marvel fan, this is definitely worth checking out. I didn't think this was the worst X-Men movie. I find that the Last Stand or Apocalypse were far worst and of course, Wolverine Origins is the worst. Now for the steel book review, I do like the simplistic approach to the steel book case. There's nothing on the front cover says the title which can be only found on the spine. It has a horror movie vibe. The bluray does include great extra footage and deleted scenes. Overall if you collect Marvel steel books in general, this should definitely be part of your collection.

Was NM the best superhero film? Absolutely, not! But it actually stays true to the "source material", you hear that Marvel and DC? Despite studio interference, and release delays. Josh Boone clearly loves the work of NM artist and legend Bill Sienkiewicz. The movie clearly reflects that. Here's hoping with marvel acquiring the X-men characters again. We get to see bad A iilyiana kicks @once again on the big screen.

I love the steel books from Best Buy! They look great and are highly collectible. The ONLY reason I don't give this one (or any of them) a 5 star, is that they contain NO booklet or info or anything. It's the disc only. It would be nice if it came with a booklet. As far as the movie it self? It was ok. True fans won't like it because of the changes, but I didn't hate it. I just didn't like it as much as I wanted to.

I originally saw movie in theaters, but I have not received my order just yet, even after days of the intended delivery date. Oh well. The movie is very good, not perfect, but it satisfied my Marvel itch. I think that Danielle Moonstar was supposed to be the main protagonist, yet she failed to deliver, & Miss Illyana Rasputina aka Magik stole the show entirely in the most beautiful of ways!! Must see I think
