The Order is lots of fun with some of the best visuals and voice acting on next gen systems so far. Maybe the only issue (depending on the person playing) is the game's length. It can be completed in a weekend. Some will fairly question the value of keeping (or even buying in the first place) such a short game. I personally don't mind and appreciate that there's no tacked on multiplayer modes to artificially pad the length. I think it's worth a purchase, but maybe not at full price. I'd wait for a good sale to pick this up. The story and world has a lot of potential, so crossing my fingers for a sequel to improve on things.

The game looks & plays great but once you're done there's little reason to ever play it again. I truly enjoyed the story & the voice acting was top-notch as well. Give it a try but for me it's no more than a weekend rental with excellent potential for future installments

Great gameplay, decent plotline, weak ending

The quality of the graphics was amazing, it is one of many games in the world that I struggled to tell if it was a cutscene or if I was actually playing. So the graphics were beautiful. Although the fighting itself wasn't particularly innovative, it still was a great game to play. As for the plot line, that was one of the things that drew me in the most, as it has a great general plot line. However, after maybe the first portion of the game I felt like the plot became maybe a little predictable so it lacked a bit of intrigue. As for the ending, I felt it was just opening itself up for expansions or more games, so though the game by no means ended in a cliff hanger, it still left me wanting much more. The only reason I'm dropping it to a four essentially is related to that, I wanted more gameplay, and this game I beat in within 24 hours of opening it, so it wasn't long enough for my tastes, but still quite the amazing game.

The graphics in this game are amazing and the gameplay was great. I liked the storyline very much and hope they come out with a sequel to this. The only thing is I was able to beat it pretty quickly. All in all it's a great game and I would definitely recommend!

i am sure a lot of you have been as unimpressed with the games coming out this gen as I have. Normally we have a lot of new franchises to get excited about but that hasn't been the case so far. Well finally the wait is over, The Order is the most exciting new IP I have played in a long long time. Lets get the obvious out of the way it is a incredible looking game with scenes that truly rival that of CG productions. There are numerous details to take in and examine as you immerse yourself in this world. The story is great and the characters endearing and superbly acted. The gunplay is a mix of the tactical nature of The Last of Us and the weapon feedback of Gears of War. Which basically means: Your character moves briskly and the guns are weighty and very satisfying to unleash. The game took me 12 hours to beat so a perfect length for me. The only problem is now the wait for The Order 1887!

Not as good as The Last of Us, but a 3rd person shooter along the same lines. Story was interesting enough and the variety of weapons was good. Would have been 5 stars if not for the length of the game, which took a mere 5 to 6 hours total to complete.

If you are looking for a long campaign with replayability, this is not your game. It does have amazing graphics and an interesting story. I recommend it for the right price. I got it on sale for 19.99 and had a $10 reward certificate. No complaints.

This game is amazing. The graphics are top notch, voice acting is great and gameplay is fun. Although the game is short,in which I got the platinum trophy in two days, it's still an amazing experience and gives me great hope for the future of the ps4.

While The Order is quite short, only 8 hours or so for me, the game is much better then many reviewers have said. The world they created is excellent and unique to video games, which seem to revolve around only the "modern combat" or "sci fi" for a majority of their settings. The world is complimented by the best graphics technology on any console game ever made before. That said the gameplay is standard shooter fare for the most part, and if you do not try to use the abilities like Blacksight (which freezes time and allows you to setup dramatic multi-kills), then you will likely spend much of your time in cover popping up to kill enemies. I enjoyed the game, and despite its cliffhanger ending, I will definitely play the sequel to this game as long as they still make it, and assuming they listen to criticism, the second game will be better all around.

This game looks incredible. The level of detail is outstanding. Gameplay is relatively simple compared to many first person shooters/games but a compelling storyline make up for the limited gameplay. More of an interactive movie adventure.

This game has the best graphics available on the ps4. I just love walking around looking at all the attention that was put in this game. Beat the game at about 9 hours and felt satisfied with the story. The only negative is no MP

The game looks amazing and has an interesting story, but it is pretty short. Hopefully the sequel (if it's made) will fix the issues the game has. Probably not worth more than $30, so try to find it on sale if you can.

I had heard that this game was not reviewed very well but decided to give it a go. I absolutely loved it and the game was gorgeous. It is linear and there are quick time events, but it is worth the price of admission.

The Order is a bit of a strange beast. Visually it's a technical marvel, the presentation is great on all fronts. From a gameplay stand point the shooting is more than serviceable, and personally I found it satisfying and fun. The story is presented in a way that focuses on being cinematic in a sort of mashup of games like Heavy Rain and the Uncharted series, leaning more toward one or the other and alternating over the course of a relatively brief single player campaign. Personally I thoroughly enjoyed the game, but for its length, it's polarizing gameplay, easy trophies, and lack of replay value, it's hard to justify the game at its original $60 price point. $30 or lower feels right to me, though I caved when it initially dropped to $40.

I purchased this on sale for 20. Worth it for that much for the storyline and gameplay but there's no replay value in the game at all. Still not bad for an original IP in a sea of remastered games no one wants.

Let me start with the fact that I was super excited for this game, so I bought it on the day it came out. While the story is pretty good and the graphics are very nice, the problem is that the game itself is super short and very linear, making it very quick to finish. Honestly, if you're thinking about buying this game, just don't, use the money to buy something better or just something else, or wait for the price to drop on the game, because it is not worth the $60 + tax.

I was eagerly anticipating this game since shortly after the announcement of the PS4. There is no other game on the market right now that can match this game's graphical fidelity. It is simple astounding. The art direction and atmosphere are so far ahead of the curve it kind of leaves the gameplay behind. The gameplay can be a little dull or boring, even repetitive, but it is never broken. The game is also on the short side, having finished it myself in under 6 hours. If you are looking for a reference showpiece to go along with your new PS4, look no further than The Order. However if you are looking for the next evolution of video game mechanics then you are better off going elsewhere.

Great graphics, decent story, and ok gunplay. Game is short, can get the platinum in one playthrough so not really worth buying unless you plan to buy and trade back in as there is no replay value.

First things first, The Order 1886 is a very impressive looking game from a graphical perspective, and easily one of the best-looking games to ever appear on consoles. However, the experience itself is quite short and their focus on delivering a cinematic experience means that there may be more watching than playing, which some people may not enjoy as much. However, if you can get it at a decent price I think it is worth checking out, if for no other reason than to see a good example of what the PS4 is capable of. It looks great.

This game is a fun play with a very exciting storyline. it is a bit short and replayability is minimal. I would suggest a preowned copy instead of spending top dollar for a new one.
