Customers have good things to say about the fun gameplay, witty dialogue, and humorous story in The Outer Worlds. Many also appreciate the game's open world and the opportunity for exploration. While some players noted minor technical issues and occasional long loading times, these concerns appear to be relatively infrequent. Overall, the positive feedback on the core gameplay mechanics and narrative outweighs the negative comments.

'The Outer Worlds' is a lot of fun--I mean it: the gameplay is fun and there's a lot to do. If you like first-person action RPGs, you'll love this one. The customization system is clever, traveling between planets is easy, and the game has enough wry jokes to keep you chuckling along as you speak to many, many people.
Buy this game if you want to sink hours upon hours into something.

As many people will mention, if you like Fallout: New Vegas or are a general fan of the Fallout series, Outer Worlds is worth a look. It’s not open world, and generally smaller, also it’s graphics are not quite up to par as they could’ve been. Those are the only things that hold this game back for me. I’m really glad I bought it. The lack of bugs I’ve experienced has been refreshing. I bought at launch and only have the day one patch. I’m impressed.

I LOVE this game! This was the Fallout game I wanted but never got. I like the companions in this game which are handled more of Mass Effect style than Fallout. I watched Firefly and Futurama so the humor and similarities were appreciated in the game. It is not a constant loot and shoot but when there is shooting the time delay is definitely an improvement over VATS.

Obsidian last RPG show all potential, especially if you like old RPG, that your decisions can decide the destiny of the story, the combat it's great, and I like the game a lot, the only thing I don't like it's the game is not very long but I recommend 100% for RPG fans.

This game had great graphics and intuitive gameplay that made it enjoyable from the start. Top dollar game for a reasonable es price is just a bonus. I love the environment and hope for the next edition! I would buy it again if I lost it, simply because of the replayability missing from so many beautyful looking games. AAA+ game!

This is the Fallout game I wanted. The characters are great and well written. You can tell the developers cared about their work. The choices and feel of the game are great and I was blown away on how much I like this game. This will scratch your itch for a good 1st person RPG, I hope Bethesda can learn from this game. This might be a future classic game.

Very reminiscent of Fallout with the text selection having future consequences among desolate landscape. Action battles I’ve had to date seem but faster, think Fallout 4. However, the story and character development make this game a standout despite similar mechanics to top tier games. Flattery still is the best form of expression of love and admiration.

I am a big Fallout fan, although I refused to play 76, as I prefer single player. I was very much looking forward to The Outer Worlds, and so far so I am enjoying it about 10 hours in.
Pros:
Good controls and graphics
Nice RPG elements you would expect from a Fallout type game
Funny dialog
Cons:
The worlds seems a little empty IMO, not enough NPCs in populated areas
Combat is very easy
Ammo/Money never in short supply

The Outer Worlds is one of the most polished and best games of this type, undoubtedly helped by the smaller scope.
Focusing and doubling down on the right areas while telling a story that often asks thought-provoking and difficult questions, the game provides a memorable time without overstaying its welcome.

An RPG I put in, start, and get engrossed in for hours with excellent writing, so much dialog; really the dialog options are amazing. Your companions actually fight if you make them aggressive. Lots of side quests, backstory, guns, armor, stuff, stuff and more stuff!! Lol. I'm enjoying every moment playing it. I did have a couple issues with crashing due to a tiny dimple on the disc; Best Buy exchanged it promptly and haven't had an issue since. 35 (I think) saves just an FYI, I'm an over-saver. I don't do spoilers, so, you'll have to experience it yourself. It's colorful, has lots of fun references, beautiful music, again that dialog... Is it perfect? No game is, but it's pretty close, runs tight, loads quickly & without a lot of jinky-ness. But, nothing is perfect. So I'll do the thing now; New Vegas meets Bioshock meets Borderlands meets Firefly meets FO4 meets Mass Effect meets Something different. And NO MICROTRANSACTIONS!!!!! A game. Plain and simple. Someone wrote a game and put it out, finished. Yes, a little update for technology, but we wish we had that back in the day. Still, a completed game, what a novelty these days, sad to say. Pre-ordered; received Oct 25, exchanged 29th due to dimple in disc.

I would say that this game definitely banks off some nostalgia. The old steampunk vibe and gritty fallout-like world can be best summed up as a cross hybrid between Fallout and Bioshock, ultimately making a unique game. Environments are breathtaking and the combat is dynamic enough to keep on going. I would highly recommend it!

its not nearly as expansive as fallout but theres still fun to be had with the quirky writing. Theres decent replay value since choices matter. But a single playthrough is fairly short to begin with. On the one hand its a good game and does what it wants to do but on the other it doesnt wow me like other games might. Ultimately I'd get this game on sale if I were to recommend it to others.

It’s everything you love about fallout style 1st person adventure. Good story and short learning curve. Definitely has a replay value. Only knock is a wish it was longer. It isn’t short but it’s not massive 15- 25 Depending on how many subplots you what to get involved in, it also has a pretty good sense of humor!
