    Playstation 4 - The Quarry

From the developers of Until Dawn and Dark Pictures comes an all-new horror video game experience, The Quarry on PS4. When the sun goes down on the last night of summer camp, nine teenage counselors are plunged into an unpredictable night of horror. The only thing worse than the blood-drenched locals and creatures hunting them are the unimaginable choices you must make to help them survive. As the sun sets on the last day of summer camp, the teenage counselors of Hackett’s Quarry throw a party to celebrate. No kids. No adults. No rules. Things quickly take a turn for the worse. Hunted by blood-drenched locals and something far more sinister, the teens' party plans unravel into an unpredictable night of horror. Friendly banter and flirtations give way to life-or-death decisions, as relationships build or break under the strain of unimaginable choices. Play as each of the nine camp counselors in a thrilling cinematic tale, where every decision shapes your unique story from a tangled web of possibilities. Any character can be the star of the show—or die before daylight comes. How will your story unfold? Starring: David Arquette as Chris Ariel Winter as Abigail Brenda Song as Kaitlyn Evan Evagora as Nick Halston Sage as Emma Justice Smith as Ryan Miles Robbins as Dylan Siobhan Williams as Laura Skyler Gisondo as Max Zach Tinker as Jacob Ethan Suplee as Bobby Grace Zabriskie as Eliza Lance Henriksen as Jedediah Lin Shaye as Constance Ted Raimi as Travis Your Story, Their Fate - Will you dare to check what's behind that trap door? Will you investigate the screams echoing from within the forest? Will you save your friends or desperately run for your life? Every choice, big or small, shapes your story and determines who lives to tell the tale. A Stunning Cinematic Experience - Cutting edge facial capture and filmic lighting techniques, combined with incredible performances from an iconic ensemble cast of Hollywood talent, bring the horrors of Hackett’s Quarry to life in a pulse-pounding, cinematic thrill ride. Enjoy The Fright With Friends - Place your faith in up to 7 friends in online play, where invited players watch along and vote on key decisions, creating a story shaped by the whole group! Or, play together in a party horror couch co-op experience where each player picks a counselor and controls their actions. Customize Your Experience - Adjustable difficulty for all gameplay elements let players of any skill level enjoy the horror. And if you prefer to watch rather than play, Movie Mode lets you enjoy The Quarry as a binge-worthy cinematic thriller. Select how you want the story to unfold, kick back, and munch on some popcorn in between all the screams! I absolutely love this game as it sends chills up & down my spine as a fan of the horror world! If you love horror, this game is for you!

I was so excited to see the maker's behind Until Dawn were releasing a new story and with such an epic cast ensemble of cult/horror greats: Lance Henriksen, Grace Zabriski and David Arquette! I could hardly wait the two days it took me to do a quick revisit through Until Dawn to play it - and I feel that probably lessened my enjoyment of this game. It's a stand-alone story and not at all necessary to have played the first to enjoy this. In fact, I think that actually set me up with certain expectations of what this should be, to then be mildly disappointed. The story line was definitely satisfactory. There were some distinct changes in the style of play. The QTE's are oversimplified. It has kind of an open feel to it but although your characters can cover areas, there's little to interact with. I thought the inventory menu was not all it could be (to review clues, evidence...) But from a "choose your path story" - that is all covered. I've played it twice now and was actually surprised at how such a seemingly insignificant variation took things in a very different and unexpected direction. Ultimately though, I just don't think it has the replay value as it's predecessor. It does, however, have a couple new and unique features that I don't want to spoil here. I'm glad I bought it...on sale.

phenomenal story and video game. The story it told was both intriguing and intense. The characters were well written despite some lacking some background, the dialogue was great and made it feel real, the acting from everyone was spot on, and the unconventional twist on a werewolf to a lycanthrope was superb. Overall this game is a gem!

My kid is not into video games but requested this one. We sat and played for 3 hours and really enjoyed the characters and storyline. I do not have the attention span for video games but I was one that did not want to turn off the PS4 because I was very interested in the next level.

Another thrilling adventure from Supermassive games. They always manage to write a horror storyline, which holds your attention captive from beginning to end. Top quality all around. My only complaint is that they have made this game easier to play than previous games. Otherwise, it is the quality I expect as a fan of the studio.

Amazing game, love the graphics and the story. Has movie mode too so that's really nice. It's honestly one of my favorite games, only downside is that the werewolves look exactly as the monsters of until dawn. I could've loved seeing a little variety.

This is s decent successor to Until Dawn. Supermassive Games has been churning mediocre games ever since Until Dawn; they've been sloppy, campy, and super unpolished. This game is all those things, but it makes sense because of the aesthetic. The voice-work here is actually pretty good, especially from David Arquette and Ted Raimi. The Quarry makes the "choice-based story game" really fun again.

Little disappointing compared to Until Dawn. Seems unfinished in some areas - some choices broken. (I learned later that a playable character died, but didn't actually see it. Pretty sure it just didn't get triggered properly.) Most of the VO is pretty good to really good - with the exception of Jaden Smith who delivered what could be the most monotone and lazy VO in the history of video games. The ending is absolutely terrible and not satisfying in the slightest. **SPOILER*** All the werewolves look the same - which is a real problem, considering you're out to kill one in particular. **END SPOILER*** I'm giving it a 4 stars - just because I really like this type of game, but it's probably closer to a 3. I say, wait to get it when it goes down to $30.
