While the build quality is great, solid and looks really nice, overall performance was not worth the price. It only charges 1 to 1.5 times from near empty for my Iphone 16 Pro Max, and the charge for apple watch was so slow it made it useless. I really wanted to like this, but would look at other options if I were you.

A great design for a powerful power bank

The Ridge Wallet - MAGSAFE POWER BANK - 10000mAh has, in theory, all the elements to be my next “on-the-move” power bank: power, design, connectivity, and size. However, after testing the product for more than a week, I am not convinced that the positives outweigh the shortcomings—or perhaps my expectations were unfounded. Let’s start with the aesthetics. The product truly exceeds expectations. You can tell that the manufacturer put a lot of effort into designing a sleek power bank that fits in your pocket, attaches magnetically to your phone, and even draws attention in a room. The built-in kickstand is also a clever addition. Unfortunately, in my case—likely because I use a phone case—it didn’t work as intended, and the phone would only charge properly when placed flat on a surface. In terms of connectivity, the two built-in cables (USB-C and Lightning) combined with the magnetic attachment provide flexibility for charging multiple devices. That said, I don’t understand why the magnetic charging doesn’t start automatically when I attach my phone; I have to manually activate the device first. On a couple of occasions, I thought it was charging when it actually wasn’t. On the positive side, I appreciate that this power bank can charge multiple devices simultaneously—something my other power banks can’t do. With its 10,000mAh capacity, the Ridge power bank provides plenty of recharges and still complies with airport security regulations. Charging speed is also impressive, which is a real delight. In the end, while the Ridge power bank delivers strong performance and great connectivity, some of the “wow factor” design elements didn’t meet my expectations. That makes the price comparison with other similar products important. One point in its favor, though, is the lifetime warranty—a feature that few competitors can match and can make for the extra amount.

I don’t usually leave a review but this charger is terrible. It took me 3 1/2hr to charge from 20% to 98% without using the phone. It used up 80% of the battery life. Imagine having a phone and a watch. I don’t think both will get full charge. Since it was from a well known company that make those great wallet. I had to give it a try and because of the functionality on it. I’m so disappointed. Wish I can return it.

The Ridge Magnetic Power Bank is a solid Power Bank, with basecamp orange being a vibrant and bold choice. The Power Bank arrived at 87%, which pending whenever this was manufactured, appears to hold a charge for a decent period of time - with that, it took less than 30-minutes or so to have reached back to 100% when rechecked via USB-C charging. This goes into a discussion about design. There is a build in (yet short) USB-C and lightning cable - which is a great feature. This allows for not needing extra cords while on the go to charge - a game changer to grab quickly, fit in small compartments or a pocket. There is also a USB-C plug in spot to allow for longer cords as well - and charging. The Power Bank also had a slightly raised MagSafe connection point that easily hooked onto my phone through the case and provides solid charging capabilities. The wired option is faster however. There is also the ability to charge apple watch, which makes this a great on the go option if outdoors hiking or at an event. There is a clear display with battery percent, which is nicer than previous Banks I have had that only have 4 dots to show 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%. Having the displayed percentage of charge is just a nice feature. There is also a kickstand, which seems sturdy enough and allows for keeping phone/charger upright during charging. Speed of charging with the MagSafe is decent at on average 5% per 10 minutes with an iPhone 15. There is a 10,000mAh capacity - with Ridge claiming up to 3 smartphone recharges. I found that on average the Power Brick went down about 5-6% for every 10% of my phone charged. So I would estimate about 2 full charges? Maybe it does not scale perfectly, but I'd confidently say 2 based off of current use. The biggest aspects of this Power Bank are the perceived durability (feeling have been built strong), the ability to have magnetic attachment, integrated cables within the Power Bank itself - improving ease, an LED display for charge and the ability to recharge at least twice. Overall, satisfied and hope it lasts - most Power Banks seem to die after a while - there is a lifetime warranty, which supposedly seems to cover if not functioning properly. I hope to never have to pursue this.

    My new favorite charger

I have a number of small portable phone chargers. This has quickly become my new favorite. There are others with higher capacity, but the flexibility of this charger makes this a must have. The charger is relatively small and feels well built. I do wish it maybe had a rubber coating or something similar to help protect it, but it still feels solid. The magnetic pad is very strong. Stronger than any similar chargers I’ve used. I love that not only can I charge my phone with the magnetic pad, but it works great for my watch as well. The built in charging cords are a great option as well. You can charge multiple devices at once, but it will slow the charging time. Overall charging time for just my phone is pretty good. The battery capacity is good enough for me to fully charge my phone about one and a half times. Or, my phone once and my watch once. Perfect for an overnight stay or to top off on a heavy usage kind of day. The digital display is easy to read and seems accurate. I can highly recommend this charger for anyone who needs a small charger that packs a good amount of battery life in an easy to carry with you package.

The more devices you have, the more you need to charge -- not always the easiest prospect when you're on the go. And throw some proprietary chargers in the mix, like the Apple Watch, and suddenly traveling with an army of charging adapters and dongles seems inevitable. As I've started traveling more I've found myself either forgetting to charge or not having enough time to juice up to 100% in between outlet access. As my Apple Watch has aged the battery life has declined, leaving me stranded partway through the day if I don't make a point to fully charge before I start my day. Heavy phone use during a conference takes its toll, too, and (fully-functioning) outlets aren't the easiest to come by at many hotels. The Ridge Wallet MagSafe Power Bank caught my eye for two reasons: one, the great colors, and two, the plethora of charging options built right into the device. I was especially intrigued by the wireless pad's ability to magnetically attach both an iPhone and an Apple Watch, allowing me to juice up on the go without having to remember to bring the Watch charger with me. What's more, Ridge included two built-in charging cables and a USB-C port, along with a convenient status screen and simple one-button interface. The Ridge Wallet MagSafe Power Bank arrived cleanly and efficiently packed in an easily-recyclable box. There's next to no setup other than making sure the bank is charged, which you can easily do by plugging it into any standard USB-C cord, or making use of the built-in USB-C cable. The small, bright LCD screen displays the current charge during both charging and discharging, a nice touch to help you keep an eye on your progress. I love the Matte Olive color with the black accents and pop of orange in the USB-C port. The power bank is smooth and solid, with the built-in charging cables running up the sides providing a nice fabric with a bit of texture for your grip. The kickstand takes a bit of force to pull out and it's not adjustable, but it's very sturdy and can support your device in portrait or landscape on a flat surface. MagSafe is definitely one of my favorite Apple innovations of the past few years, and Ridge has done a nice job with their implementation. The soft-touch, grippy charging surface is slightly elevated above the power bank's surface, adding to the rugged look while offering a genuinely useful amount of grip to keep your devices from sliding around. The magnets are plenty strong to hold the power bank steady on the back of my iPhone Air, although it looks pretty comical attached to such a svelte phone. But hey, 10,000 mAh is quite a lot of power! The built-in charging cables are really sleekly integrated, so much so that it took me a few seconds of turning the bank over in my hands to realize what they were. Again, the cables take a bit of force to remove and put back, but for me this just adds to the overall quality feeling of Ridge's product. The cables are only a few inches long, which can make using a device while it's plugged in a bit awkward, but there's always the option of using a longer USB-C cable and the port on the bottom of the power bank. Truthfully, I'm torn about Ridge's decision to make one of the built-in cables a Lightning cable. Now that Apple has transitioned all their devices to USB-C it feels a little wasted to me, as I haven't had a Lightning-compatible device in more than a few years. That said, plenty of people still use Lightning every day, and if you're reading this review chances are you might be one of them. Personally I'd really have preferred two USB-C cables or perhaps one longer USB-C cable wrapping around three sides of the device, but again, YMMV based on the devices you own. Including Lightning does have the added benefit of making it easier to share the power bank with friends and colleagues though. As I write this review my Apple Watch is charging on the Ridge MagSafe Power Bank next to me. I exercised this morning and didn't have more than a few minutes to charge my watch after, leaving me perilously close to out of juice by early evening. It's pretty neat that Ridge managed to integrate an Apple Watch charging pad smack-dab in the middle of a MagSafe charger, but this design isn't without compromise. The Watch-attaching magnets are fairly weak; it's much easier to dislodge the watch than I expected. I've also found myself having to remove one side of a few of my watch bands in order for the watch to lie flat enough to charge. I've also noticed watch charging is pretty slow at only 2.5 W, which is pretty slow, especially compared to the latest Apple-official charging pucks. All that being said, it charges, and is great for a top-off when on the go. Overall I'm pleased with the Ridge Wallet MagSafe Power Bank. It's ruggedly attractive, comes in great colors, feels near-indestructible and offers the ability to charge new and old devices wired or wirelessly. It has enough power to juice up phones and watches a few times over, and the pass-through charging function means you can turn this power bank into a charging station while on the go. That's one less thing to pack! As someone with no Lightning devices I really do wish both built-in cables were USB-C, but there are still many, many Lightning users out there, and I'm happy I can share the power bank with them if needed. Overall, this is a great do-it-all sort of device, and well worth including on your next trip.

Form and Function combine for a winning power bank

The Ridge Wallet MagSafe Power Bank 10,000mAh 20W 5-in-1 is positioned as both a practical charging solution and a stylish accessory. It delivers on core expectations: the 10,000mAh capacity comfortably supports multiple device top-ups, while the 20W output ensures faster charging for modern smartphones. However, even though it features 20W charging, I found the time to charge my iPhone 14 Pro Max longer than I would expect for a fast charger. The MagSafe integration is reliable, maintaining a firm yet removable connection with compatible iPhones, which makes casual, cable-free charging convenient. Its 5-in-1 versatility sets it apart, offering Qi wireless charging to make charging an Apple watch a seamless process, giving users flexibility on the go. Having both Lightning and USB-C cables built in to the power bank eliminates the hassle of carrying cables. The built in kickstand is a nice touch. Build quality is in line with Ridge’s reputation of solid quality, minimalism, and refinement, but this comes with some added bulkiness compared to lighter, single-function power banks. Users who prioritize portability alone may notice the difference in daily carry. I found it very useful on my recent trip to have the extra charging capacity available when I stepped off the plane as my iPhone’s battery was nearly drained after my five hour flight was over. The inclusion of pass through charging is a thoughtful touch, adding real-world convenience. Overall, it’s a well executed blend of premium design and adaptable functionality, appealing to users who value efficiency as much as aesthetics.

The Ridge Wallet - MAGSAFE POWER BANK 10,000mAh 20w 5-in-01is phenomenal device. Packaging/boxing came well packaged in the shipping envelope, bubble wrap. Size - Very awesome the small size makes it easy to place in my backpack. I am able to take it with me everywhere I go when I travel. I have an Apple AIr Battery pack which I le am able to charge so I don’t have to worry about running out of juice on the go. Style and design - again love the color and the styling of the device. Apple Airpods charge nicely on the Magsafe part of the device and I pull out the kickstand so I can place it on my nightstand and charge as needed. Connectivity - the device comes with a USB-C and a USB lightning cable connector so i can plug in my Apple Airpods Max and my phone as needed. Also can plug in my older airpods if ever needed since they use the lightning plug as well. Great that it can use the USB-C plug to charge without having to have another external cable to carry around. Works as expected and promptly. Overall impressions - I love this device, very economical and works as expected. I will use this for many years to come.

The Ridge MagSafe portable charger is exactly what I would look for in a portable charger. It is compact and lightweight enough that you wouldn’t notice it in your bag. It’s small enough to attach to the back of your phone and continue to use it or put it in your pocket while charging although it is slightly bulky in the pocket while attached. There are two connecting cables; a usb-c and an apple cord. You can connect your phone via cable to charge or use the MagSafe spot. You can recharge the charger via the attached usb-c cable to a block or there is a usb-c port that you can plug a different cord to for charging. The charger charges to 100% fairly quickly. At the bottom of the charger there is a button to turn it on and a small window that shows numerically how much juice it has. There is a kickstand on the back so you can prop up your phone while charging. I get one full charge from it for my iPhone 13pro. The only thing I’m not very impressed with is the charging speed of the portable charger. It takes several minutes to go up 1%. It is quite convenient other wise.

Versatile Power Bank, Very Strong Hold

Ridge has made a very solid power bank that has many features I think many will enjoy. Starting right off with the design, they’re very rugged looking. I wouldn’t be concerned throwing this in a pack with other items jostling around with it. Where the phone connects there’s a very soft rubber padding and it’s slightly raised from the rest of the pack. There’s a power button on bottom, along with an orange colored, USB C opening on the bottom for charging the battery, along with a very bright and easy to read capacity percentage readout, that includes percentages and a charging indicator. Embedded in the side and acting as part of the grip is a braided cable that has a really good feel and seems like it will be durable and lasting. The standout features I think will attract most is how easy it is to pick up and start charging something and how strong the magsafe magnets are for my device, the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Holding the Ridge Power Bank with my phone connected, you have to shake it hard to get the phone to finally pop away. I’d say in a way, under normal use, you’re not going to get it to pop off unless it hits something and shears it away from the magnet. The kickstand puts the phone in a very good viewing angle for videos, whether you’re using it portrait or landscape. I did find it very rigid to open. I believe this was intentional so that it doesn’t accidently open or close, which is a feature in my opinion once you know you’re not going to break it. When it comes to charging you have options. The two embedded cables charge up to 20 watts. The magsafe charging of course is compatible with magsafe devices, as well as charging your apple watch. This really has all your apple devices covered, whether you have an old pair of airpods that use lightning cable, or a newer iphone with USB type C, you can charge it. I do have a few small complaints when it comes to charging. First, I wish the apple watch charger held on a bit better. I know most watch chargers don’t have a magnetic death grip, but just a light touch, and I find that my watch falls off. It’s better if you lay it flat on something as not to accidently knock it off the charger. My other gripe is you have to power it on when you want to charge Magsafe. Connecting with the cable starts the charging right away, but with magsafe, you have to attach your phone, then hit the power button to start charging. Finally, if you’re looking for the fastest charging magsafe or power bank, this isn’t it. While it isn’t bad by any means, it just doesn’t support the fastest possible speeds of the newer devices. I like having Magsafe chargers I can keep charged and laying around so I don’t need to be tethered to the wall. I often throw them in my pocket or bag when I’m leaving the house so I can top off on the go. If versatility and staying attached is your biggest priority, I can say this is the strongest magsafe connection I have used, which includes very strong magsafe pop-sockets I’ve had on my phone.

[PROS] Multiple Device Hookup: Most battery banks now allow for two devices to be charged up simultaneously. The Ridge Wallet cranks it up to 5 which I'm happy about. Keep in mind that connecting multiple items will lower the speeds that all items can receive, but still it remains a liable product. Feature Rich: A kickstand, wireless connectivity, LED display, thermal protection, and cables for cover multiple generation, what more could one ask for? The Ridge Wallet Magsafe power bank makes it convenient to move about when needing to boost the batteries of my devices. It attaches securely to my devices and powers them effectively. Also, I never ran into an issue of overheating or disconnections. [CONS] Slow Wireless Charging: The biggest drawback of this power bank is that it charges wirelessly at a average pace. 15W wireless charging are pretty common, but I own tech that can output more. It's not the worst, but it does leave a bit more be desire. [CONCLUSION] Connecting a multitude of Apple products has never been easier. The Ridge Wallet acts like a portable charging dock for the items I own. I wish it could charge faster without a cable, but the attached wire is a suitable substitution.

The Ridge Wallet MagSafe Power Bank is a good power bank for charging many of your Apple products. The power bank has three ways of charging your devices. You can charge using USB-C, lightning and MagSafe. The lightning and USB-C charging cables can be tucked into the power bank, making a seamless and clean design. There is an issue with this design though. When tucking them into the power bank, the cables tuck in just fine. However, the adapter part is sometimes a challenge. When I press it into the power bank, it doesn’t always tuck in all the way. It will stick up slightly and sometime pop back out. The USB-C cable allows me to charge my newer model iPhones, iPad that supports USB-C, and my MacBook. The lightning cable allows me to charge my older model AirPods. I can also charge my AirPods using MagSafe. The lightning cable is also good for charging my older model iPhone. The MagSafe charging does not charge your device automatically when you connect it. You have to press the power button the power bank for it to begin charging your device. Overall, this is a good power bank for charing several devices.

Be it my Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, AirPods Max, I always seem to run out of power when I either have no access to a charging station, or do not have a much needed cable. This Ridge Power Bank has ended the problem. Most devices require a USB C cable to recharge, and the Power Bank has such conveniently built in. There is no need to search for a cable and plug in to the power bank, the cable is prewired and kept in a slot on the side and top of the power bank instantly always handy and ready. Alas, many older Apple products such as my AirPods Max headphones require an Apple proprietary Lightning Cable. Thankfully, the Power Bank has such a cable built in and prewired to always be available when needed. As with the USB C cable, the Lightning cable sits in a groove on the top and side of the Power Bank inconspicuous, but instantly ready for use. My Apple iPhone 16 Pro may be charged using a USB C cable, but its built in magnetic charging is ultra convenient thanks to the Power Bank Magnetic charging capability. I simply place the Power Bank on the back of the iPhone and am able to charge without any cables. Similarly, my Apple Watch series 11 has magnetic charging, and I simply place it on the Power Bank to recharge. There is no need for a cable, nor difficulty because I leave the watch band in place, and the Power Bank slips inside the watch band as if it were my wrist. Ultra convenient! Another feature that I enjoy is the LED stays light. I push the power on button, and the status of the device being charges is digitally shown. For example, if my iPhone is down to half its power reserve, the Power Bank will display 50%. As the recharge process proceeds, the Power Bank provides instant status at a glance until it finally shows 100%. Note: If the Power Bank is not being used to recharge a device, pushing the power button will turn on the LED display and reveal the status of the Power Bank, thus I always know when to plug in a USB C cable to the Power Bank and then to a power outlet. A mother feature of the Power Bank is called rapid charge, and it is automatic. When charging a device capable of rapid recharging, the Power Bank automatically turns on a green light in the power status LED display telling me that rapid charge is underway. The final feature that I particularly like is the kick stand built into the Power Bank. I often find myself at locations such as a restaurant, propping up my iPhone to catch up on emails, etc. I usually have to hunt around and find something to prop the up such that I can view the display easily. The built in kick stand that folds out when needed is a joy to use. The PowerBank magnetically attaches to the back of my iPhone, and the kick stand is instantly available. I can be recharging the iPhone, or not, the Power Bank may be turned on or off, but it always attaches to the back of my iPhone as a propping device. Aesthetically, the Power Bank has no sharp edges, and is beautifully designed and engineered with plenty of charging power. Kudos to Ridge for this exceptionally valuable product.
