Thought the power bank works as expected, wattage is great, the build quality leaves some to be desired. Most notibly, the arms (cables) on the device are prone to detachment. Its good - but not perfect.

I have been a long term user of Ridge’s metal wallets and always appreciated the premium quality and the design. So when I got my hands on the Ridge Magsafe power bank, I was very curious how Ridge takes aim at a highly saturated market. After using it extensively for almost a month of using it during both domestic and international travel, I believe I’ve found a great travel accessory. The major feature of the Ridge powerbank is the versatility. It features both wired and wireless charging. As for wired - it has a USB-C port that acts both as the charger input and output, so messing around to figure out which port does what. However, there are additional USB-C and Lightning cables that are built-in to charge stuff when a handy cable is not available. Furthermore, the USB-C tethered cable can also be used to charge the power bank in a pinch. These cables are not very long, but they nicely tuck away in the body which makes it super convenient. For wired charging, the maximum power is 20 W which I feel is adequate for a quick top up. As for wireless, it is Magsafe compatible, and thus supports all sorts of Apple devices: phones, Earpods, Watch. While the power is capped at 15W max, again it’s not the slowest out there. I found the magnets for the Magsafe really strong, and could keep my phone charging while I was in a call, or just using normally, with no fear of the power bank falling off. On top of all this, I was able to charge my Android smartphones without any issue as well, and it worked super nicely with my new Pixel 10 Pro which uses the PixelSnap akin to Magsafe. From build quality and design, the Ridge gets an A+ from me. It’s well proportioned and balanced, and the overall design is quite appealing, especially with the Basecamp Orange I have. It feels well built, and while it took a few scuff when dropped at an airport a couple of days ago, it has held up well. As a plus, it has a builtin kickstand that is again very helpful in a pinch. As for interface, the Ridge has a single button, paired to a monochrome display which can show the charging status and battery level. I like the idea that charging devices only start when the button has been pressed, so I can keep it attached to my phone, use it for the kickstand, and not constantly charge my phone. Overall, the Ridge is a well thought out product. It’s a good package to replace a lot of travel chargers - the only thing I needed was a USB-C wall charger with it and I’m set for most travel. The only gripe I may have is whether the wired charging speed could have been faster. That would have made it perfect.

Ill start with the pros: the design is cool and the Apple Watch charger in the middle is also a neat addition. Now for the cons: the battery life felt sub par on it, even for 10k milleamp hours. The quality and material of the product feels cheap and not the quality you would expect from a company like Ridge. The kickstand is extremely hard to get out if you have shorter nails, same with the 2 cords on the side. Also, the kickstand part of the design should have been better thought out. Just go with the Anker MagGo if you want a great all arounder portable battery.

While the build quality is great, solid and looks really nice, overall performance was not worth the price. It only charges 1 to 1.5 times from near empty for my Iphone 16 Pro Max, and the charge for apple watch was so slow it made it useless. I really wanted to like this, but would look at other options if I were you.

This thing kind of sucks. The corded options work okay, the wireless charging does not charge an Apple Watch or iPhone for more than a few minutes then it turns off. I reached out to ridge support, it have been 3 weeks and they have not responded. I’d look elsewhere for charging options.

The more devices you have, the more you need to charge -- not always the easiest prospect when you're on the go. And throw some proprietary chargers in the mix, like the Apple Watch, and suddenly traveling with an army of charging adapters and dongles seems inevitable. As I've started traveling more I've found myself either forgetting to charge or not having enough time to juice up to 100% in between outlet access. As my Apple Watch has aged the battery life has declined, leaving me stranded partway through the day if I don't make a point to fully charge before I start my day. Heavy phone use during a conference takes its toll, too, and (fully-functioning) outlets aren't the easiest to come by at many hotels. The Ridge Wallet MagSafe Power Bank caught my eye for two reasons: one, the great colors, and two, the plethora of charging options built right into the device. I was especially intrigued by the wireless pad's ability to magnetically attach both an iPhone and an Apple Watch, allowing me to juice up on the go without having to remember to bring the Watch charger with me. What's more, Ridge included two built-in charging cables and a USB-C port, along with a convenient status screen and simple one-button interface. The Ridge Wallet MagSafe Power Bank arrived cleanly and efficiently packed in an easily-recyclable box. There's next to no setup other than making sure the bank is charged, which you can easily do by plugging it into any standard USB-C cord, or making use of the built-in USB-C cable. The small, bright LCD screen displays the current charge during both charging and discharging, a nice touch to help you keep an eye on your progress. I love the Matte Olive color with the black accents and pop of orange in the USB-C port. The power bank is smooth and solid, with the built-in charging cables running up the sides providing a nice fabric with a bit of texture for your grip. The kickstand takes a bit of force to pull out and it's not adjustable, but it's very sturdy and can support your device in portrait or landscape on a flat surface. MagSafe is definitely one of my favorite Apple innovations of the past few years, and Ridge has done a nice job with their implementation. The soft-touch, grippy charging surface is slightly elevated above the power bank's surface, adding to the rugged look while offering a genuinely useful amount of grip to keep your devices from sliding around. The magnets are plenty strong to hold the power bank steady on the back of my iPhone Air, although it looks pretty comical attached to such a svelte phone. But hey, 10,000 mAh is quite a lot of power! The built-in charging cables are really sleekly integrated, so much so that it took me a few seconds of turning the bank over in my hands to realize what they were. Again, the cables take a bit of force to remove and put back, but for me this just adds to the overall quality feeling of Ridge's product. The cables are only a few inches long, which can make using a device while it's plugged in a bit awkward, but there's always the option of using a longer USB-C cable and the port on the bottom of the power bank. Truthfully, I'm torn about Ridge's decision to make one of the built-in cables a Lightning cable. Now that Apple has transitioned all their devices to USB-C it feels a little wasted to me, as I haven't had a Lightning-compatible device in more than a few years. That said, plenty of people still use Lightning every day, and if you're reading this review chances are you might be one of them. Personally I'd really have preferred two USB-C cables or perhaps one longer USB-C cable wrapping around three sides of the device, but again, YMMV based on the devices you own. Including Lightning does have the added benefit of making it easier to share the power bank with friends and colleagues though. As I write this review my Apple Watch is charging on the Ridge MagSafe Power Bank next to me. I exercised this morning and didn't have more than a few minutes to charge my watch after, leaving me perilously close to out of juice by early evening. It's pretty neat that Ridge managed to integrate an Apple Watch charging pad smack-dab in the middle of a MagSafe charger, but this design isn't without compromise. The Watch-attaching magnets are fairly weak; it's much easier to dislodge the watch than I expected. I've also found myself having to remove one side of a few of my watch bands in order for the watch to lie flat enough to charge. I've also noticed watch charging is pretty slow at only 2.5 W, which is pretty slow, especially compared to the latest Apple-official charging pucks. All that being said, it charges, and is great for a top-off when on the go. Overall I'm pleased with the Ridge Wallet MagSafe Power Bank. It's ruggedly attractive, comes in great colors, feels near-indestructible and offers the ability to charge new and old devices wired or wirelessly. It has enough power to juice up phones and watches a few times over, and the pass-through charging function means you can turn this power bank into a charging station while on the go. That's one less thing to pack! As someone with no Lightning devices I really do wish both built-in cables were USB-C, but there are still many, many Lightning users out there, and I'm happy I can share the power bank with them if needed. Overall, this is a great do-it-all sort of device, and well worth including on your next trip.

The display showing the % charge remaining went bad after a week of normal use. I bought three units, all bad displays! Hard to tell if it’s full charge or empty. So slow to charge my iPhone, and it takes a while to recharge the battery pack.

I don’t usually leave a review but this charger is terrible. It took me 3 1/2hr to charge from 20% to 98% without using the phone. It used up 80% of the battery life. Imagine having a phone and a watch. I don’t think both will get full charge. Since it was from a well known company that make those great wallet. I had to give it a try and because of the functionality on it. I’m so disappointed. Wish I can return it.

A great design for a powerful power bank

The Ridge Wallet - MAGSAFE POWER BANK - 10000mAh has, in theory, all the elements to be my next “on-the-move” power bank: power, design, connectivity, and size. However, after testing the product for more than a week, I am not convinced that the positives outweigh the shortcomings—or perhaps my expectations were unfounded. Let’s start with the aesthetics. The product truly exceeds expectations. You can tell that the manufacturer put a lot of effort into designing a sleek power bank that fits in your pocket, attaches magnetically to your phone, and even draws attention in a room. The built-in kickstand is also a clever addition. Unfortunately, in my case—likely because I use a phone case—it didn’t work as intended, and the phone would only charge properly when placed flat on a surface. In terms of connectivity, the two built-in cables (USB-C and Lightning) combined with the magnetic attachment provide flexibility for charging multiple devices. That said, I don’t understand why the magnetic charging doesn’t start automatically when I attach my phone; I have to manually activate the device first. On a couple of occasions, I thought it was charging when it actually wasn’t. On the positive side, I appreciate that this power bank can charge multiple devices simultaneously—something my other power banks can’t do. With its 10,000mAh capacity, the Ridge power bank provides plenty of recharges and still complies with airport security regulations. Charging speed is also impressive, which is a real delight. In the end, while the Ridge power bank delivers strong performance and great connectivity, some of the “wow factor” design elements didn’t meet my expectations. That makes the price comparison with other similar products important. One point in its favor, though, is the lifetime warranty—a feature that few competitors can match and can make for the extra amount.
