I bought this on spur of the moment. I already had the DVD version, which I watched not too long ago. So I havent seen this one yet. This is from Mill Creek, known for their cheap production with cardboard sleeves, etc. Thats on DVD. The bluray version of "That 70's Show was quite good. Quality through and through. And that's what this set appears to be. Also more compact, with several cases, two discs per case. A very good presentation of my favorite detective show. Looking foward to watching it again. And again. And again

Long time Rockford fan.. great to see a complete and high quality Blu Ray set!!! This looks like an excellent 35MM masters to Blu Ray transfer with no frills menus and only the FBI piracy notice and you go right to the menu of episodes on that disk. There are NO previews or commercials or breaks.. you go straight to the menu. There does not seem to be close captioning nor are there any extras of any kind. Each disk has the list of episodes as well as Season #. It's a pleasure to have this excellent HDTV experience on my 55" TV - with my nose on the screen ;-) I've bought knock-off / home grown Rockford DVD decades ago (?) and they really were sub par. These Blu Rays on the other hand, are excellent HDTV quality transfers from what seems to be perfect (remastered?) 35 MM prints.

This is a really good show from the seventies, that looks surprisingly good on Blu-ray. They even went and cleaned up some episodes that looked terrible on DVD. If you like classic detective shows from this era, this is a very good one.

No close captioned for the hearing impaired. Otherwise, it was a great show and a slice of life in LA circa the late 70s. Even saw the image of a Mobil station with gas at 69.9 cents a gallon! And fast cars, no homeless people and no liberal Democrats.

The Complete series of the Rockford Files is excellent. The Blu-ray quality is to perfection!

The Best classic detective shows of all time. Note mill creek master the picture is identical Knight Rider: The Complete Series Bd set has no thrills. That James Garner is great. Note show is on sale $37 now be full price when sale ends.

With the recent 48th anniversary of the premier of "The Rockford Files" (September 13, 1974), I wanted to get back into the show. It's available for streaming (with ads) online; however, I saw the Blu-ray deal for the entire series and jumped on it. A great improvement in quality over streaming; no edits for running time and the colors pop nicely. A lot of "I bet that area doesn't look like that any more" comments on the Los Angeles shooting area. Not incredible picture quality, but solid, especially for a series almost half a century old. Sound quality isn't exceptional, but it is acceptable. DTS-HD 2.0. Obviously, not a great deal of money was put into the soundtrack, but it certainly doesn't detract from the experience. Given the time frame of the series' run ('74-'80), there are a lot of "Before they became stars" guest appearances. If you're a fan of "The Rockford Files", get this. You won't be disappointed.

This series is a classic. The blu ray version looks great.

I was so happy to see this on the shelf. I could look through the clear shrink wrap, and see the 6 seasons each packaged in their own blue blu ray boxes. .. great use of our shelf space, as this only takes about 2 and a half inches of space. This is way way below the huge size of DVD boxes. I haven't opened and watched any yet, but blu ray quality is usually good. At the time I bought, there was also a nice discount...thanks, Best Buy..........

The 70's gave us some great detectives, but none as jaded, cynical and good hearted as Jim Rockford. This was one of my favorite shows growing ups and it still holds up today. A real bargain at $200.00 a day plus expenses.

Better than when I watched it on television years ago - it was fuzzy then but this Blu-ray edition is incredibly clear and fun to watch. I highly recommend getting this if you're a fan of The Rockford Files.

like this tv series growing up i was glad to get the set, I never saw the whole series, so now i can watch as i please, its kind of funny to see how it was in the 70's again, when we didn't have cell phones and he has to use pay phones all the time!!

Always enjoyed this series. James Garner was perfect for the role as the sarcastic, world weary private eye. Every episode ever made plus in blu- ray. They don't make em like this any more, pity.

I bought this one cause it was on sale and I saw a part 1 of one episode and it was good so I had to buy the whole series, I'm glad I did and in blue ray quality is great part 2 was so satisfying to finished the continuation

Classic tv. Great stories, great characters, all faithfully collected on bluray. Quality is really good. So fun to go down memory lane with this series.
