It's fun to create a household and a brand new house from scratch, then control their lives. Expansion packs adds more content to the game. I have been playing The Sims since the beginning and this is my favorite.

This game works well on the Apple - MacBook Pro. Gameplay is smooth.

My daughter absolutely loves the game, keeps her entertained for hours.

I really enjoy this game and feel it is worth the money I spent on it.

We bought this for our 9 year old son who has difficulties expressing and labeling emotions (due to Autism.). He has all of the Sims games but this one is his favorite. We play it together as a family and have a lot of fun creating Sims that resemble family members. Bonus for mom: the "background music" is much better (and less annoying) than the other versions.

Overall, not as horrible a game as the forums make it sound. Sure, the lack of an open world makes you feel like you're stuck in a tiny box after that function was introduced to us in Sims 3. And sure, there's less customization available now that objects and clothes come in preset colors, and Sims babies are kinda just glorified objects. But for me, Sims was never about playing some "legacy" family or whatever the term is; I've always been in it to build, and I'm loving the new build mode (still waiting to build curved walls though...EA..). It's so simple to expand rooms or just pick up an entire building and move it, and as someone who's made planning mistakes before and had to tear down walls to rebuild, I appreciate this. I do really miss the open world though, so if it's possible to script that, that'd be awesome. Or, at the very least, let us add additional lots.

Endless Hours of fun for a great price you canno beat that

I played this game until all hours of the early morning in middle school and had tons of fun with it. When the sims 2 came out, I didn't like the new graphics and I was in college anyway. Now I found myself missing the Sims and read that the Sims 4 is "too much like the original" for most, meaning that the game play is mostly focused on the home development part and less on the sim's lives, which is fine by me! I found that with the original expansion packs, there was too much going on and the sims would get tired way too fast to enjoy all the different worlds and functionalities anyway. So for me, the way to upgrade houses and an easy to manage social life is the most enjoyable part and that's what you get with the Sims 4.

Loved this series and these sims are GREAT!! Next one, please.

over all it's a great game just miss some of the sims 3 stuff

Very nice game to decompress with after a long day at work.

We have triplets and two of them are girls and they have an older sister who has the Sims 4. We bought this for their birthday and they have had a blast with it. I've heard from the children that it has so many features such as the ability to make more elaborate homes. With the expansion pack it seems that this is by far the best Sims yet!
