Kid friendly, can sit for hours playing.. the game never gets old

My daughter is a sims fanatic and she is having a lot of fun with it.

I have played since Sims 2. I do not really like this compared to Sims 3. I am giving it a chance to see if the expansion packs will make this game better. There are no cars, there is limited lot space. I had a problem trying to download custom content....

It is a really fun game and enjoyable! I would recommend to anybody.

I loved playing the sims 2 when I was younger. I was excited to play the new one. Wasn't disappointed. I looked forward to the expansions dropping in price eventually so I can get them.

Took awhile to download, but once it's ready....oh boy look out.

What a great game. I have always liked the sims and now that you can do more with them is great. Not being fabled to travel freely and explore the town more is the only down side

So I read all the reviews, the good, the bad, and just plain awful. I know that toddlers and pools were removed along with the open world concept... And I was hesitant on buying it at first. But I must admit, I am in love with the Sims 4 thus far. The ability to fully customize my Sim body type is something I've always wanted in this game. Also, with the Sims 3, the base game wouldn't even work on my laptop without it lagging and freezing. Now, I can play on my laptop and my brother can play on the computer and we're both happy. The emotions makes the game seem more realistic. There were things in the Sims 3 that I do miss (i.e. dishwasher, pets, seasons) but most of them were a part of an expansion pack later down the line, which a lot of people have forgotten. It can only get better from here on out.

First of all, I love some of the new features of this game. The graphics are much better than Sims 3. The new Sim builder is amazing. However, I am very disappointed in this game because they took away a lot of the awesome features that were in Sims 3. You can't move around the town map, or add your own lots, at least I haven't found a way to do so. You can't customize material/colors as you were able to in Sims 3; things like walls, floors, cloths, and others.

The Sim creation and build mode are very easy to navigate. Saves are completed at least 5x faster than in Sims 3, so I will probably save now more often than just as I am quitting the game as I used to. It is also nice that you can play multiple households in the same world instead of having to abandon a family if you get bored and want to play another. The controls in live mode are not the same across the Sim games. It is hard to adjust to the controls for Sims 4 after being used to the Sims 3 controls because they are not even similar. The tutorial at the beginning is helpful for controls, but it will take a lot of play time to adjust and not have to think about how to do something before I try to do it.
