I've always LOVED the Sims Franchise. I own every game they've made...and they used to draw me in for endless hours of play time. I DO Love the new building features available, but there isn't much to the base game that keeps me focused on playing...I'm excited to see what expansions come out to draw me back in.

My expectations were clearly to high for this game. It appears as if the created this game for the capabilities of an elementary school child. Everything is pretty much pre-done for you. There is nothing fun about building a house. Using the camera angles in the game is annoying to use. There is no where near the detail that was in the previous Sims 3. Do not waste your money.

Very disappointed avid player of The Sims since they first came out. Was very excited for this to be released and now wondering why a game would regress so much back to The Sims 1 and 2 versions. I am sticking with my 3 until they take the best of 3 to make 4 better. Will not be adding on to this game when expansions come out. You use to be able to fish by clicking anywhere on a pond, lake, or any body of water, now you have to find signs??? Really? You cannot que your sim for their return home from work any more. Your needs go faster then in 3. I know they added pools and fixed some glitches, but the not being able to go downtown without it reloading....not worth it for me.

This will be the last sims game I buy. Options are limited. A LOT was taken out of the game. The create a sim or build mode is not worth it. No pools. No ghosts. (Unless you have internet access, which is REQUIRED for initial start up.) CAN NOT put makeup on male sims. Only eye liner. No lips. No blush or face tint. (So if you like using Custom content. too bad. your sim will never be perfect) Sims 4 is a fail. Don't bother.

This is an ok expansion pack, try to catch it on sale.

Do not buy this game. Unfortunately we only discovered this issue today. In January 2016 on the EA forums people told EA that their save files were deleted. EA helped them fix the game to prevent future loss, but could not recover the lost save files. In their wisdom, they decided to leave this problem in the game for six years. This is now at least the third time it has happened to us and we no longer play the game. Don't waste you money. We called customer support, they had us "fix" the issue, but it happened again anyway, so they don't know what they are doing. They said we bought it too long ago to get a refund, even though the issue predated the purchase. They only care about getting their money and they will not let you speak to anyone who could give a refund.

No where in the item description or throughout the purchase process does it state that in order to download, you must have an 'EA Origin account', download EA Origin, and then play thru EA Origin. Digital download means that I download and own the game, just as if I had the physical disc in hand. Then on top of that, no where in the email confirmation or download instructions does it describe how to get the game. When clicking on 'Instructions' from my Digital Downloads page, I am taken to a blank 'File not found' page. I was forced to read five pages of FAQs to then finally see someone mention 'Origin'... @BESTBUY, if you are going to sell products like this for digital download, be sure your product description is up front and honest.

doesnt work...cant download game with the discs to my pc

I don't know what on earth the development team was thinking when they stripped so much stuff out of the game. no pools, only 2 floors, no toddlers and teens adults and elderly people look the same!

Seriously, this game is a huge step backwards. Game-play is glitchy and choppy, and those things that were such a big deal in the Sims 3 have been removed. For instance, no toddlers. That was one of my favorite parts! No pools either. They even took out family trees. I really can't stress enough how bad this game is.

The link that they send you doe not work, customer service is terrible, and I've seen multiple reviews over the years complaining about the same link problem yet they do nothing to fix it. Do NOT order anything digital from here.

Origin sucks. A pain to try to install with windows 10. Waste of money.
