Absolute classic. Video is top notch considering the source material, audio is impressive as well. The best possible way to enjoy this film at home must own for fans of the genre/franchise

This is absolutely one of the best versions ever put out of "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre". Everybody already knows what this movie is about, so I won't waste time on that. I am not a huge fan of this movie, but I respect its place in cinema history, and I had to have the best version of it possible, within reasonable price. I was not disappointed. The transfer here by Dark Sky Films is absolutely pristine, beaten only by the transfer for the limited edition by Second Sight available overseas. The set has almost all the extras ever compiled for "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre" over the years through its various releases. There are four, count them, FOUR commentary tracks, in addition to hours and hours of documentaries and interviews. Only the Second Sight version has additional bonus material in the form of a newly recorded commentary track exclusive to their version, but that one sacrifices a great segment here with William Friedkin and Tobe Hopper that lasts 50 minutes, so it's an even trade. The slipcover also features some pretty cool art, with the case underneath presenting the original poster from the film. It ain't the steelbook, which will cost you a little extra, but it's a pretty decent package nonetheless. And if you don't care about the steelbook, you save a few dollars too, and still get all of the bonus content available! If you can't afford the Second Sight version because it currently retails for around $70, this is an absolutely great option for casual fans of the movie and even hardcore fans in the US, if you don't have to have every bit of supplemental material ever put out for the movie. Highly recommended!

Can't go wrong with this 4k edition of the orginal TCM. Loaded with special features. Grab the best version of the film while you can. A must own for any horror fan!

If there was ever a feature film that deserved the 4K treatment it would most definitely be The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Tobe Hooper's terror tour-de-force can now be experienced like never before with shockingly sharp picture and sound that will deliver audiences a more horrifying intensity that it did back in 1974. It's the most beautifully traumatizing motion picture ever made an it must be seen in 4K!

I think this is still an excellent horror movie even though it was produced a long time ago. It was one of the first movies that took horror to a new level and showed things on screen that had never been attempted before. It can still hold it's own as far as being entertaining. I never cared much for the sequals that followed. I thought that it had great actors and great directing. I would recommend this movie to any horror type movie fan.

The quintessential Saw on disc out there. This particular version has the brilliant and morbid art by Jason Edmiston. It’s loaded with features that include extras, interviews, behind the scenes, making of…everything a aspiring filmmaker, historian, and horror enthusiast could hope for.

A very solid 4k transfer, from low quality original film stock. The movie was shot in a way to add to the scary, creepy and disturbing factor. It hasn't lost any of that during the transfer to 4k. The upgrade in sound makes it even better. Two thumbs way up.

TCSM is an American horror movie classic. Even though most of the violence occurs off screen it is so atmospheric and well acted it has scared teenagers for generations. The 4k transfer looks and sounds amazing. A perfect Halloween film.

This 4k edition is the best it's ever gonna look. Since it was shot on grainy 16mm film stock, don't expect it to look sharp and clean (for a film like TCM, the dirtier the better). All the supplements from Previous editions are here, as well as some brand new interviews. This is the one to get!

The original and still the best! I didn’t get into the Chainsaw movies as early as I did Halloween, Nightmare, and Friday franchises but the original still sets itself apart and watching again in 4K was fun.

Classic horror film. The slasher that started it all.

I saw this movie at a very early age in the days of vhs.not I remember being terrified. It wasn’t the scariest movie i had seen but something really bothered me about it . It felt real or like a documentary. This 4k is simply amazing. I never thought it could look this good

What else is there to say about this movie ... this picture is beautiful and audio is top notch. The onky version better than this by a fingernail is Second sights version...

TCM is a classic and now in 4k. Ridiculous and amazing. I love physical media and it saddens me that stores are carrying less and less. Digital media is NOT the way people!!

One the best versions of this film out there. 4K format but still retains the grittiness of the 16mm film. Highly recommended to fans of the film.

Picture is the best it can be for this old a film! Nice sound too; again, for such an old movie. Idon't know if it can get any better!

Really enjoyed watching this movie. It was my first time watching it so I can’t compare to any other formats, but the 4k blu ray looked great.
