OK this game is a very interesting case more over it had no game mode or career mode whatsoever straight out of that it’s the multi player establishment based on an online community to move on the game. It is 100% multiplayer. It is not a solo career or solo game mode, if you’re looking to have a game time following the movie characters furthermore you dictate your own feature see the four characters one side is four villains. Your choice to escape or to kill.

Let me start off with: I like this game. I play this game several times a week. The following is just my honest observations of the game as a whole. The game is asymmetrical horror survival game - so you are playing others online as either a family member (3 slots) or victim (4) slots. As a victim, you have to free yourself from the basement and find one of four exits to escape the family. As family, its your job to make sure they don't escape. Each character has a special ability and can use additional ones purchased from a skill tree. The graphics, sound, and level of detail in recreating the original movie are fantastic. Seriously, watch the original movie then play the family house level - its pretty cool. The current issue I have is that the game has already lost a huge part of the playerbase so you will sometimes takes 15-20 minutes to play a 5 minute match. As for why the player count is low, it depends on who you ask. Bottom line, I don't know if there is anything the devs can do at this point to stop the decline.

If your looking for something between Friday the 13th the game and Dead by Daylight this is for you. The fact you can team up with friends to either play The Family or Victims is a huge win in my book. Highly recommend for any fan of the movie series or horror games.

Cool concept in the form of Texas Chainsaw. Test your survival skills in the face of doom as three killers chase you. As the player you improve and adapt as you run and resist the threat alongside your fellow survivors for the sake of freedom

If you are a fan of horror, and love an adrenaline rush you should totally buy this game. Experienced in gaming or not I’d recommend it ti anyone.

My favorite horror movie, this game had a lot to live up to and they definitely did! Even came with an awesome poster. Ended up framing it

This game is a masterpiece and will not be for everyone because slasher movies are not for everyone. If you are a horror buff, you will appreciate Gun interactive’s goal to create an immersive survival horror experience that places you in the third act of a horror film. I really love this game and I am not delusional or blind to it’s minimal content. I just have always wanted a sandbox slasher game like this since Friday the 13th the Game was halted from updates due to it’s lawsuit. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre will please fans of that game as it is passed the torch and hopefully with healthy content updates the game will continue to feel fresh. I can’t believe there are complaints of 0 tutorial or explanation on how to escape, thats the genius of it. If you are kidnapped it isnt going to be spelled out for you, players looking for a competitive and strategic dead by daylight playstyle might be disappointed but there is still plenty of customization and loadout selections for each of the 5 characters from each side, it just feels more committed to giving you a roleplay movie experience than focusing on winners and losers. Voicelines and sound design on this game is incredible. The chainsaw revving closer and closer is solid gold nerve racking tension. Characters call for eachother when they recognize them in a room. It’s very immersive and helps tie in the idea that players are a group of friends that were kidnapped and tortured. The faithfulness to the first two films of the franchise and hints of influence from all the films is certainly a treat for any Leatherface fans looking for a trustworthy adaption. This is a fantastic gameplay loop for it’s asking price. With $69.99 becoming the standard I appreciate the reasonable cost for 3 maps on launch. They are gorgeously designed with the basement area consistently feeling like a maze through hundreds of playthroughs. Reactions will vary if you will get tired of this loop faster than I did or not but I am having a blast.

This game was insanely fun! I am a true horror fan and there’s something like a video game that matches the movie! The makers of this video game were really able to capture what it’s like being both the villain as well as the person being hunted. Best Buy made this experience the absolute best because I received my item on time there was no issues and in the absolute best condition. I definitely recommend this game and I definitely recommend the store as I had a whole hearted great experience! Definitely purchase!
