Great package for TCM fans. Love the poster never seen before. Case is blank on the backside,but over all very happy with this DVD

Really great horror film. This movie in 4K looks amazing. Having it in the steel book is is nice and I love the small poster art.

Bought this for the limited edition poster. Opened it and saw the poster was double sided! That was pretty awesome.

Very disappointed!! This verison DOES NOT include a digital copy or regular blu ray verison on disc 2. The cheaper, non steelbook version does however, and that makes no sense considering it cost $10 less!!

Picture is a little soft for 4K, but this film was originally shot on low grade film stock. So it's only going to look so good unless they do a full on restoration (digital) from the original print. Still highly recommended

Part of the review is for the shipping process. It's disgusting bestbuy still mails steelbooks in bubble mailers. Now with that being said idk how i feel about the steelbook. The back is plain white and just feels like its lacking. The front is so nice but the back just feels so empty and incomplete. I knew that buying it and wanted it for my steelbook collection. I got this on sale regular price is ridiculous for one disc and no digital. Big over priced

Classic horror movie and finally on 4K. The steelbook design is cool, especially the inside and it looks good on 4K

It doesn't come with a digital copy. I never expected to spend $30 and not get a digital copy. The poster is ok but its creased so badly that I am not even going to bother framing it

Why it rocks: It was responsible for helping to lay the groundwork for the slasher genre, even before Halloween. It made the hitchhiker and abandoned houses popular clichés in slasher films. The cinematography has an old, grainy look which gives it an ominous feel. The opening narration by John Larroquette sets up the mood very well. Good acting. Excellent casting. The iconic camera sound. Great, eerie and creepy soundtrack. It was shot entirely in the film's setting of Texas. Apart from his horror iconicity, Leatherface is also a very scary and intimidating villain: He's like 6 feet tall, he's fat and strong enough to carry his victims and hang them in meat hooks, he doesn't talk and only moans and shrieks, we never see his face as he only wears a human-face-made mask, and never lets go of his terrifying chainsaw that for some reason never runs out of fuel. The infamous dinner scene is likely one of, if not, the most terrifying scene in any horror movie. Especially with the main character Sally screaming in agony. Fun fact, those screams are actually real screams as actor Marilyn Burns implied that the dinner scene drove her insane and terrified her. And it really shows. Despite the title, there aren't any chainsaw kills. In fact, there's very little blood in general, and it's a good thing. Unlike many modern horror movies that rely on gore and shock content, this film relies on suspense, tension and atmosphere to scare it's viewers rather than graphic gore, and that's a very different approach to the horror genre. Several cast members are Texas natives while Marilyn Burns and Gunnar Hansen were raised there. What makes the movie overall so scary? It's based on true events, for real. The movie is based on Ed Gein's true heinous crimes; that reason is enough to send shivers down your spine.

Looks amazing. Hard to believe its from 1974 the looks this great. Highly recommend!!!
