    Well, here we are. THE THING (1982) finally gets the full 4K package treatment. Now, this movie does look pretty incredible on the 4K TV with HDR. I have owned the previous Shout Factory edition and that had the 2017 4K scan on a Blu-ray disc. This edition does look slightly better than that one on my 4K equipment. I would highly recommend playing this back on a TV with HDR capability to get the maximum presentation. Sound is incredible through the soundbar in front of the 4K TV. Included in this set is the standard Universal Blu-ray that has been out for sometime. No artwork on it other than blue lettering, which is typical for Universal Blu-rays for the most part. The actual 4K disc is the standard black with white lettering. Fabulous to finally have it, if you don't have the other set from Shout, I would recommend getting this. The Shout version has so many more features in that set. Recommended!
