Grew up watching Gen 1 Transformers and now to watch it in 4k is so awesome, great transfer

They really did an impressive job on this update/transfer. The colors and depth are amazing to watch. The soundtrack is also amazing. It comes with not only a 5.1 Master Audio track, but an original 2.0 stereo Master Audio track for those who dont have a full surround sound. The fact they corrected some of the color mistakes (Hot Rod being pink etc) from previous releases was enough to sell me on this one. My only disappointment was that the case promises deleted scenes, which are rather in fact, story boards showing what could have been if they would have animated those story boards... not a deleted scene at all... more of a what could have been. regardless. a far superior edition that any Transformers Fan will be kicking themselves if they miss out on.

Watched this one in theaters when I was a small child. I’m that sucker that buys every anniversary version as long as the resolution has improved. It’s difficult to pull this old school classic off in 4K and notice much difference. It was as well executed as they could pull off. Would recommend to any Transformer fan. The 80’s Transformers series is all that exist IMO. Everything else since has been mediocre. Buy this and the original animated series. Which I wish they would make into a 4K box set. That’s money waiting to be spent.

For Transformers this is a must have. It's the '86 movie in 4K. It looks great and it's a great movie. I will never forget the first time I watched this movie as a child. (beware spoilers ahead haha) I could not believe they would kill Optimus Prime. For what was a kid show at the time this movie gets serious. I still love it to this very day and watch it at least 4-5 times a year.

Transformers The Movie Steelbook is very well done, I love how the transfer from blu-ray to 4k looks. The 4k picture quality is super and like I said the steelbook itself is great. The animated cartoon series is great and now that this movie came out it follows the animated series very nicely. The animated series and the movie are very well done.

Every kid I knew couldn’t believe it when this movie killed off an iconic character from the Transformer series. We knew at that point it was going to be one heck of a ride. This big budget film was the turning point in the Transformer franchise and we knew what happened afterward would never be the same. This is a must own for old and new fans of Transformers.
