I find this season's episodes very entertaining for the most part, beacause of the development of strong interpersonal relationships between characters who are generally likeable, even if flawed, like ourselves. However, the zombie/character interactions continue to be absurd at times. The ability of the bumbling zombies to surprise characters and kill or nearly kill characters is implausible, especially after a few seasons. Still characters haven't learned to be overly cautious or take common sense precautions. Examples: opening doors when apparently assuming everything is fine on the other side; never closing doors behind themselves, especially when being pursued by zombies; not vigilantly looking around or standing back to back when traversing the country side; not using load noises to test whether zombies are nearby like in a closed room, to provoke the zombies to grunting and growling and noisily ambulating; not having determined which weapons are the best for fighting zombies and under what circumstances to use particular weapons; not always creating barriers, like at the doors they use to enter and exit a home/ haven (but they are being used more now); etc. By now fortified villages could have been built with concrete walls, gates within gates to limit all-or-none zombie invasions into residential areas. But in spite of these shortcomings I find the show very entertaining, I just look past the shortcomings.

I must admit, this episode was not as action packed as some have come to expect. However, we get to take a dive into the split personality of the Governor. Redemption is beyond his grasp and all we can do is wonder what this man driven insane will attempt next. He is the wild card of the series. To call him a loose canon is an understatement. I enjoyed revisiting the character and can't wait to see how it unfolds. I should also note that you should take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. Some people want action 24/7 but this series was never about being action oriented all the time. The quieter times in the series help to create a dynamic experience like the calm before the storm. That way, when the action does occur, it is all the more enjoyable.

The Walking Dead franchise is alive and well as it moves through its 4th season. As Rick and his band fight for some sense of normalcy inside the prison, the Governor convinces a new band of followers to take out Rick and company. As with all of the other seasons, Season 4 presents viewers with many plot twists and surprises (and another unfortunate trend of killing off a main character is continued too) and the introduction of a lot of new characters. The Governor's attack on the prison is one of the best episodes in the entire series. As Rick and his scattered band attempt to reunite, they all eventually hear of a sanctuary known only as "Terminus" that they all move toward. This show is truly a classic. The only disappointment viewers experience with this series is when a season ends.

The Walking Dead Season 4 continues the journey of Rick, Michonne, Daryl and the rest of the merry band of survivors of the zombie apocalypse. The seasons journey begins with our group living out a somewhat comfortable(by apocalypse standards) existence behind the walls and fences of the shows most impressive set design(the prison) when a new threat emerges, threatening everything the group has gained through hard work, perseverance and a unified front. Things go from bad to worse and soon their very survival depends on their ability to adapt to their surroundings and sole reliance on each other. Season 4 furthers the shows creative stride, albeit a bit slow in its second half(last 8) Highly recommended.

This DVD set is very nicely packaged with the usual amount of extras. The content is excellent. The writers stay true to the flavor of the comic while adding new details and characters to keep it interesting for the followers of the comic. Thrilling, heart breaking and wrenching. Carol's character in particular is as fully realized as any I have ever seen. Melissa McBride is quite an actress. There is not a weak link in this wonderful cast. Get in. Get hooked.

This is a great show. This season is the best yet. It really focuses on the individual characters, and really delves into the choices they make, and what that does to them as individuals. What does it take to survive in the apocalypse? Are you willing to do what it takes? Can you accept others after they've done what it takes? is surviving worth it if you lose your humanity? Awesome, difficult questions that are explored this season. The best yet!

This is the best series on TV. Even with the absence of Andrea, who I thought was the best character, this show NVR fails to deliver. I have the whole set and plan on showing it to my grandkids when they are ready for a little horror in their life. Besides, I need them to prepare for when this really happens. I got a bunker all ready for said reason. Great show, I hope the real walkers move as slowly as the ones on TV, it'll make life easier. Good luck!

You are either a dead fan or you are not. If you are then you will love this season. I would tell you who dies but for those of you that haven't seen it yet, well don't want to spoil it. This is a series totally worth the price but start at the beginning so you get to know all the players.

"The Walking Dead" has easily become my favorite show on television!! I was a little late to the party and watched the first 3 seasons on DVD to catch up, but the fourth season topped them all!! The acting was fantastic, the visual effects were top-notch, and the storylines kept me guessing to the very end. I can't wait for season 5 to begin in October!!

Surviving the world gone mad! The Walking Dead is truly a morality play on a weekly basis, with this season's strong characters and twisting plot lines (and, of course, special-effect undead-dead people walking around and jumping into the scenes at all the appropriate times. Excellent show, but NOT for the faint of heart.

I am not a huge "zombie" fan but TWD takes the cake. I like that it has such an amazing story line and its not just a show all about zombies. The cast are awesome actors, and of course the zombies are exactually what you would expect them to be. Great show and the fact its filmed in Georgia makes it better ! !

The Walking Dead is a great show with a ton of thrills and interesting characters. Everyone knows zombies at this point, and the show takes place after/during a zombie apocalypse. The characters are great, with some likeable, and some not so likeable. Highly recommended

As with the previous seasons, season four continues the saga with a well written, exciting story line. All the characters seem to have evolved, so much so, that you can identify with them, feel their pain, enjoy their successes. This is an enjoyable show for horror/sci-fi viewers and fans.

This is the best show on television right now!!! So sick of good shows debuting and then the greedy and impatient networks cutting them before they can even get going!! This type of show was a risk and it has paid off wonderfully for the fans AND the network alike!!! THANK YOU!!!

Patiently waited for Season 4 of The Walking Dead to become available. So happy I went to Best Buy to purchase it. Not only did I have it in my hands immediately the day it was released, I got it for the lowest price around. Best Buy's price beat all the online retailers by several dollars.

I love this show! There is everything from horror to mystery, excitement, dread, love, and lonelyness. It is such a great emotional roller coaster. The story lines and plots are fantastic and I absolutely love the character developments. Hands down, my favorite show on television!

The series draws you in because of the great character development...You really care about the people in the story and you don't want them to die! For this reason, every episode is very compelling and a must see...I've bought every season released so far and will continue to do so.

When I first started watching this series, I did not think it would last more than one season... but, it kind of grew on me. The show has evolved into a great one. Keeps you on your toes... if a zombie apocolypse comes about, I think this show will have everyone prepared. ;)

Didn't start watching The Walking Dead until the end of season four because there was so much talk about "a major shakeup" which was The Grove episode with Lizzy and since then my husband and I have bought all the seasons and have been catching up for when season five starts.

There is something about this show... With every new season, I have the impression that I will finally get tired of it but for some reason, the creators manage to maintain that constant pressure and fear. Season 4 was really great and I definitely recommend it.
