My wife really liked it. What she didn't like is that their isn't a second season If you get into the Tudors or something like it you should enjoy this.

Good show if you like Game of Thrones type shows. Prefer watching shows/seasons in their entirety so dvd was the way to go :)

I just could not get into this series as hard as I tried. Maybe it just wasn't exciting as coming off of watching Game of Thrones.

Very pleasant history lesson about the cousins war. It has everything from battles, witchcraft, romance and intrigue.

Looking forward to watching this. Makes me want to read the books.

…White Queen is the story of the women involved in the protracted conflict for the throne of England. It starts in 1464 — the nation has been at war for 9 years fighting over who is the rightful King of England, as 2 sides of the same family, the House of York and the House of Lancaster, are in violent conflict over the throne. The story focuses on 3 women in their quest for poer, as they manipulate behind the scenes of history — Elizabeth Woodville, Margaret Beaufort, and Anne Neville. Woodville is the central character in the novel The White Queen, whilst Beaufort & Neville are the focus of the novels The Red Queen and The Kingmaker's Daughter respectively. However, all 3 characters appear in all 3 novels that went to make up the television series.

I read the books after being inspired by watching the series. It keeps you enthralled, watching the rise and fall of royalty fighting for the crown during the War of the Roses and after having read through Lady of the Rivers, I can say the tv series does draw a good bit from the novels and history. Can't wait for the proposed second season!

I like this show because its easy to watch and fairly enjoyable. Is it my favorite show? No. Was it worth the cheap Black Friday price? Yes. Probably wouldn't pay full price though.

This series had pretty nice reviews and feedback enough for me to select this anyway.
