In The Witcher 3 you adventure across the world on your quest taking on jobs as you go to help the commonfolk and make some coin. Combat is exciting and tactical, the scenery beautiful and varied. You'll have much to do in this game it's huge and well crafted.

The story is awesome and changes depending on the choices you make. I wouldn't say that playing the previous titles are an absolute must to understand the story but I think it would make it a lot more rich and deep if you did. The game play is fun and diverse especially after several patches that CDPR released. There are SO many side quests and things to do that this game can keep you busy for hundreds of hours if you want but also can be played pretty straight and beaten in about 30-50 hours. What really shined to me was how deep and important the side quests feel. No other game has made me care about side quests as much as the Witcher 3 has. So yeah, play it.

The Witcher 3 is a contender for GOTY. Amazing open world RPG. Graphic are gorgeous and the story keeps you interested. Only thing that's a negative is the controls when you try to loot something. have to be right up on it.

Ive been a fan of the witcher series since the beginning and each one has gotten better at story, world and interface. This latest installment is mindblowing in all three aspects. The story: finally we get the answers to alot of aspects of the mysterious geralt of rivia. First with the introduction of the much talked about sorceress yennifer and the facinating and dangerous Ciri. Old friends such as zolton, dandellion, vernon roche, triss and the witcher of kier moren return in this exciting tale. The world: this open world is enormous with over 100 hours of gameplay. Interaction: every witcher game has gotton more and more hands on and less automated. The graphics and gameplay are unrivaled. Im looking forward to seeing what this company has in store next.

I can't decide if I like this game or not. I don't like fake fantasy games. But I like open world games and exploration. I got this game for $25 and I'm still deciding if it was worth it. The controls already irritate me. I think if you're into fantasy or fake magical stuff you'll like it because it does have good graphics and an okay story.

I got The Witcher 3 on 5/18 through gamestop and I was only about to play for a few hours but I'm very impressed. The graphics are great, they remind me of dragon age inquisition. They are vibrant and full of detail. The story is easy to pick up as well as the controls. The game came with a thank you from the devs, a cd with all the soundtracks from the game, and a map. They have already said there is going to be free Dlc so I'm impressed with the devs. The only negative is there is quite a few glitches. Minor yes but still annoying. During the opening cut seen the woman's eyes were missing and the game froze up in the first hour of playing. Again not that bad, I'd recommend this to anyone that played Dragon age inquistion, skyrim, or fallout. It's a great RPG

Massive open world with amazing graphics. One side quest can contain more story than other full games.
No the best performance on PS4, but still one of the best games of the year.

First, i would like to point out i have never played any of the witcher games. So, going in to this one, i had low expectations, especially with everyone saying the game was downgraded for the consoles. Well, it is a fantastic game to me. No other ways to describe it.
GRAPHICS - The graphics are more than solid good. The animation is simply out of this world with the occasional frame rate drop, but nothing which harm this game. Hey, not as bad as Fallout 3, New Vegas and Skyrim (I owned all 3 of them and they were buggy, but fun). Those graphics are crisp and sharp. Every area is distinct from one another which means you know when you get to another area of the game. I really like the background where you can almost see like other levels far away. This is top notch to me. The water area could use some upgrades, but it still get the job done. It is pure pleasure just to go through this world and look at all the details (and i am just in the prologue still...lol).
SOUND - The music in this game is just phenomenal. Man, talk about putting you in the mood. The voice acting is superb and whoever wrote their texts are really good. Overall, the sound effect is plain fun. Nothing else to say about it.
GAMEPLAY – The game so far is very responsive. You can easily navigate and the character does exactly what you want. I don't find it too hard to get used to Gerald and his moves. I was playing a lot of Bloodborne before this game, so i am used by now to rolling and dodging. I have gotten stuck once or twice on rocks, but it happens rarely. You have to watch where you go or you could die easily falling of a cliff.
STORY – This is a very innovative story to me. As mentioned, i have not followed the witcher story at all. I did not find i was at a total loss. I really want to find out what has happened and why. This game is apparently supposed to last approx.. 25h to 30h just with the main story. Should last close to 200h with all the side quests. The whole witcher world is captivating to me. All those monsters to hunt and the hundreds of NPC's to listen to. There is a lot to do here.
FUN - There seems to be a lot of collectibles to find in this game, from weapons to weapons upgrades to various items and secrets. You can also find journals here and there. I did not think you could have more than skyrim, but this game may just prove me wrong. That is just awesome. The menus are a bit hard to navigate and it is a bit confusing. However, once you get it, it may takes a bit of work to get there, but it works. Who knows, maybe a patches in the future will address that. Overall, there is just a ton of fun to get with this game.
CONCLUSION - This game is phenomenal period. I love the developper for getting us free DLC's (there are 16 coming soon). Yeah, they may ask money for 2 expensions later on, but at least, the DLC's are free and that's the way it should be. I suggest supporting those guys who made us a great game instead of supporting the practice of a game company releasing a horribly unfinished product and expecting the customers to pay full price. Yeah EA and Ubisoft, I am looking at you. I recommend the witcher 3 all the way. I mean, 60$ for 200 hours of game... Hell yeah!

Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of the most intricate and unique games I've ever played. However, I may be a bit biased because I absolutely love everything Witcher. I have read every English translated Witcher book there is, as well as played all of the games. The first thing you will probably notice about CD Projekt Red's latest masterpiece is its astonishing and mind-blowing graphics. I will confess that the previously mentioned graphics are a bit of a downgrade from the teaser we saw in 2013, but it's not enough to make it unworthy of buying.
The world of the Witcher 3 is by far the most stunning thing I've ever witnessed in a game. The complaint I read the most is that the combat is really hard and not very well put together, when playing on console. Having played previous Witcher games the control scheme wasn't much of a stretch from what I was used to, but I see where other people are coming from. The problem with gamers today, is that we've almost no patience. If you actually read the tutorials and take your time you'll get used to the game in no time flat. I hate to be blunt, but Witcher 3 is not a game for the weak or ignorant player. It takes time, charisma, and a bit of finesse, but is well worth it.
In my opinion the most important aspect of a good RPG is the story. When I play the Witcher main quests, side quests, and sometimes even contracts, it is one of the most immersive and fun games I have played in a long time. Before Dragon Age: Inquisition released I was so excited for to play it. However, after you annihilate the campaign a few times it can be really boring. Witcher 3 is not like that. The campaign takes way longer than that of most role playing games, yet manages to keep you excited, intrigued, and surprised. The last thing I should mention is the open-world of this game. The size of Skyrim? Maybe not, but this Multi-Region world is so huge there is a good chance you'll never see all of it. The fact that the Witcher's open-world is close to the size of Skyrim's and doesn't have an abundance of in traversable mountains, is why I'd say Witcher 3 has a better world.

The Witcher 3 is a game with it's own fair share of bugs and sluggish mechanics. It is hard to control the horse (it may even disappear into the ground) and people glitch into the air or get stuck. However, this game is hands down an amazing Next Gen Masterpiece. The deep story and lore, exciting combat and crafting, and extensive campaign make for an awesome adventure with great replay value. If you can overlook a couple of non-game breaking bugs (which may be mostly gone from updates now) pick up The Witcher 3 and say goodbye to 150+ hours of your time. You will be so glad you did.

WOW! I am so glad I decided to purchase this game. I have ignored my other games since I purchased Witcher 3.So much to do in this beautiful world, after 50+ hours I am barely scratching the surface. Decided to go for the extra hard Death March difficulty and being new to this type of combat the learning curve has been steep and frustrating at times but I am now hooked. My only demand is that a patch would help improve the frame rates which cas suffer at times.

I can say that this is the first rpg in a long time were i felt joy doing the side-quest missions. all of these missions have fresh stories and little receptiveness like in DA:I. I've barely completed the prologue and got to skellige island. i think maybe put in maybe 25 hours or 28 hours into it. wish it told u how many hours u put into it. i had no bug experience when i got it on launch until the third update. i bought this for the ps4. leveling up is not as bad if you do the side-missions. not as frustrating as it was in dragon age 3. over-all rich story and stunning graphics. hats off to cd-projectred!

The Witcher 3 is the pinnacle of RPGs, not just for this generation, but for every generation. Better storytelling and combat than Skyrim, gorgeously lush graphics, massive open world for you to get lost in, side quests that have some heartwrenching and memorable storylines, as well as two excellent expansions. The Witcher 3 is the greatest RPG ever made. If you haven't played it, buy it now, play it for a few hours (cuz it does start out somewhat slow) and enjoy your new favorite game.

This game is definitely one of my favorites! I love the game play and open world style! The story line was awesome and made me go out and buy the books! Lots of fun to be had for hours! The graphics and sound was great as well! Loved this game so much I played it twice and the second time around I found things I didn't the first time. The Witcher 3 is one of the rare games that offers countless hours beyond the main playthrough and actually keeps things very interesting with sidequests and miscellaneous activities. If your a fan of medieval/renaissance time period chances are you will find great enjoyment in this game. The world is beautifully realised and it's one of the more graphically impressive games I have played this generation. Soundtrack is very good sets the mood appropriately. The mechanics in the game definitely have a learning curve, especially for those that are not familiar with the Witcher world, but the tutorials are well explained and help guide you through all the different processes that are available to you. Writing and voice acting are top notch and character models are very detailed which truely contributes to this game's ability to remain in complete immersion. Overall I would highly recommend this game to RPG fans as I can tell after just 8 hrs I have put into it already, that there will be many more to come.
And last but not least, I would like to give a shout out to the developer, CD Projekt Red, I was completely surprised when I found a thank you note inside the case along with notice saying that they have 16 MORE DLC expansions planned after release completely free of charge. Also included is a soundtrack, decal stickers, map and a legit GAME MANUAL...Yea that's right this game actually has game manual inside. Been a long time since I have seen that much inside a game case.
