I'm new to the witcher series but i had blast with Geralt on his adventures. The combat was and can be hard especially on the hardest mode, Deathmarch. I pulled through and happy with my 300hrs on this game, and that's me doing everything on one playtrough. I never spent time doing something i didn't need to do. Unfortunately they added dynamic 4K after i was done with it but happy for everyone who is and will experience this great game, it's up there with RDR2 as one of the best open world games. Excited for their next project.

Truly a fantastic game. One that lets you see CDprojekt Red really cares a ton about the gamer playing it. With the amount of work they put into creating such an experience and the game itself takes around 100 hours to complete, which is just amazing. Hours I have spent roaming the vast world, completing the various side quests and leveling up my character, Geralt. The side quest feel unique and are interesting. The biggest reason to buy this game though - Dynamic beard growth...

The premise of the game is very predictable and linear. What sets this game apart from the rest of pack is it's visuals and plethora of side quests that leave you satisfied from beginning to end. The different types of weapons, spells and abilities help you on your quest to vanquish evil at every turn. Whether you are battling a banshee in a swamp or griffin terrorizing a village this game will keep you entertained for hours on end. Definitely worth a try for those aching to lose themselves exploring a world that has villages, castles and other places that might house evil entities and lost souls.

Of the same genre of Skyrim, The Witcher 3 is a great big, expansive open world that provides endless adventure as the story's main character Geralt of Rivia, monster hunter extraordinaire. Cohesive and beautiful game, yet demanding and gripping. Fantastic story telling where pomp and pageantry collide and becomes bed buddies with sinister and menacing. Well crafted and thought out combat system. Strong effort from CD Porjekt Red Studios.

I'm not a fan of skyrim or rpg games in general but the fight mechanics is pretty amazing. I usually play fighting and first person shooters only. I'll play some rpg games but the majority of the genre are pretty boring. This game has an engaging story, and you won't feel lost in this giant world because the navigation in this game is the best. But if you want to get lost amd explore games, they give you that option too without it making it too overwhelming. If you like action and strategy games with a nice story, you should really give this rpg a try.

I had seen this game often times but never had the chance to buy it. Finally I got this game and it is surprisingly good! There are lots of things to do. The story is great and the graphics are amazing. As for mechanics, it has all the good things of an open world game. I’ve had so much fun with this game. Plus, it is not the kind of game that you’d finish in 5-8 hours and never come back. There are tons of missions that will always get you back to play it.

This is the first of The Witcher games I ever played and enjoy it very much. The graphics push the PS4 console to the max and it definitely shows. This game reminds me of Red Dead Redemption in terms of traveling by horse and Skyrim when magic needs to be used. I highly recommend this game if you love open worlds, magic, sword fighting and a good challenge as you'll spend endless hours just looking around and completing quests.
The game also comes with a manual, map, soundtrack, and stickers =)

Pre-ordered and picked up this game on the release date but didn't have time to play for a couple days. The next 7 days I played for over 60 hours! I think my wife now hates me! Jk she has been playing too when she gets the chance... This game has elements that remind me of Skyrim, Dragon Age Inquisition, and Diablo! Great open world rpg with lots of side missions and amazing graphics. Don't think about it just buy it! You will not regret it if you liked any of the other games I mentioned.

If you play rpgs for the abundance of activities available, this one is for you. This is the first one on playstation so you'll be coming in at the last arc of the story but the game does fill you in on whats pertinent to the narrative for this game so it's not entirely necessary to have played the other games. Combat isnt centered on button mashing, you'll die quick if you don't take the time to learn and prep. Has a different feel from shadow of mordor and dragon age. Worth checking out

One of the first games of the new generation that actually feels like something new. The open world is beautiful and detailed. Little decisions you make end up having big consequences. I actually felt bad when my decisions lead to someone's death. Combat is elevated from the hack and slash you usually find in open world RPG's. Quality story, graphics and voice acting makes me actually care about the story line. The Witcher 3 is first class and deserves all the attention it's getting.

It's my most played game now. I love it. the only thing this game is really missing is being able to adventure with a friend or two. The graphics are great, the story is good as are most of the side quest stories. Very well done!

This is my first experience with a Witcher game. As far as open world games go, it is impressively detailed. Even the optional quests are fully voiced and often complement the story in interesting ways.
But the controls are not as clean as I would've expected based on the amount of hype this game has been getting. Navigating the world is often janky (for lack of a better word) as you get caught on fences or fall off ledges. Combat is a little less smooth than it should be.
The menu system is exceptionally deep and complicated and not organized with ease-of-use in mind.
If it sounds like I'm nitpicking, it's probably true-- there is a lot to like about this game. But you end up spending a lot of time in the menus so it would be helpful if everything were just a little more streamlined.

What an amazing game. A massive (larger than any game before it) open world rpg that lets you choose how and when you play it. Its easy to get caught up in a string of side quests for a few hours and realize you completely put the actual story on hold. It's definitely worth picking up if your into Action games or RPGs.

I first played it at a friend's house over the summer and ended up having crazy withdrawals after leaving because I missed the game so much, haha. It's awesome. Open world, beautiful graphics, great characters and story. I'm barely halfway through and I've been playing it almost exclusively (granted, work has been keeping me busy). Have been recommending it to everyone :)
