The graphics are good, the game is one of the largest and most fun games I've ever played. Mission structure is great and side quests don't just feel like normal fetch quests. Only small complaint and I do mean small is with the controls at times. Responsiveness when moving around isn't great. Not an issue during combat but when moving around there is a slight lag. Everything else is great. I barely played 1&2 and for the most part don't feel like I've missed that much.

The title says it all. This is an unquestionably audacious endeavor, and the end result is an immensely impressive gaming experience. The open world is enormous, beautiful, and often fraught with danger. This game goes all the way in every regard. Each region has intricate culture that often clashes in interesting ways. Not to mention that many decisions you make throughout the game have a pivotal influence, not only on the main story itself, but on the unfolding of the social and political milieu of the world. The decisions in the story require critical analysis of the situation and its possible outcomes that could drastically affect the story. While the dialogue can get quite cumbersome and some of the quests can feel a bit dull and inane, it is absolutely worth your time. Hours and hours of possible gameplay; really a baffling amount of gameplay, like how can this all be possible. I was truly taken aback frequently while making my way through the game. While I could go into much, much more detail, suffice it to say that for any gamer there is incredible value in this game.

It's like a mixture of Skyrim and Dragon Age, though the combat is better than both of them. Graphics are great and and difficulty is actually difficult in Death March mode. If you like RPGs, you'll definitely enjoy this game. The only downside is that I've never played a Witcher game before and they don't really do a good job of introducing you to the story. I'd recommend looking up videos about the previous games to become more coherent of the story before beginning.

This game is huge and I've barely scratched the surface. There are tons of side quests, contracts, and even treasure hunts. The graphics are incredible, especially during sunrise/sunset. The way the sun will go through trees and foliage just looks amazing. I have never played a witcher game before, but I am having a blast with this one. Definitely get this game if you want to be playing for awhile and there is DLC planned, which will give even more gameplay!

This game is a must have for anyone that loves a great RPG with an amazing story & hours upon hours of gameplay with over 16 free dlc available. The only thing I can nit pick is it's a WB game so if you've played any of the arkham batman games or shadow of mordor, it's the same battle engine so it does get repetitive & the enemies & your character move & attack the same way, but like I said, that's reaching far if there is a con to this game.

This game is probably one of the best games I’ve ever played in my life if not the… It’s hard to say because I place pretty great ones but this is pretty amazing. The storylines on point graphics are on point the ease of control is on point and the map is just freaking gigantic. There is no way that a person can explore every inch of this map it’s incredible

It was a little rough around the edges when it was first released. The developers have released a few patches since then -- one that fixed a gamebreaking flaw -- and now the game has my full attention. The open-world is beautiful and HUGE! Even when a bug prevented me from continuing the main quests, there was plenty of room to explore. I'm about 20 hours in, and from what I've heard, there's plenty of story left; great bang for the buck!

Where do I start? This game has exceeded all expectations! The last time I had this much fun playing a game was when Skyrim came out! Aside from it being open world you have so many things that you can constantly do. For example you can take part in horse races, fist fighting, or even playing the awesome new card game called gwent. I highly recommend this game to anyone interested in a open world game that has a very in depth story.

Red Dead Redemption + Skyrim + Batassassin Creed

Red Dead Redemption = Great story, narrative, and voice acting Skyrim = Deep Western RPG elements and wide world to explore Bioware RPG = Choices impact story Batassassin Creed = Similar, but original 3rd person Combat Mechanics I would actually rank game similarity in the order above as well. It is most like Red Dead because it is driven by your choices and events of a story being told, not moving from quest giver to quest giver. I cannot emphasize the feel of Red Dead Redemption in a fantasy RPG enough. In terms of Skyrim, it is a generational leap in terms of world size and design. You can spend a lot of time exploring, but all areas feel unique with locations to visit and explore and to learn about. Also like Skyrim, the quest lines are open and you can come and go from them as you want. Like the Bioware RPGs, your choices matter to the game and story. Combat is probably the weakest element of the game. It is very good, but not as fluid as many other games. It is very deep with a lot of variety, but still not smooth. It's not as arcade as Batman and not as nuanced as a Dark Souls game. Falls kind of in the middle and I still struggle with it. The combat is still very good though. All the other stuff like maps, crafting, alchemy, inventory management all came across pretty intuitive to me and I never felt lost of confused not knowing what to do. Love this game. I consider it best game of this generation (PS4) to date. Unless Fallout 4 or Star Wars Battlefront offer something that raises the bar further, I think Witcher 3 Wild Hunt is the game to beat for 2015 Game of the Year.

This is one of the greatest RPGs ever made. The controls were a bit wonky at first, but once you really get into this game you don't want to put it down. There's hundreds of side quests and an epic main storyline, plus you can stop in at the local pub and play the game's fantasy card game. Great game 10/10 would recommend again and again.

This really is an open world game with many contracts, missions, and monsters/ghosts to kill that it will keep you busy for a while. Game looks great on our PS4 and has had a couple issues loading, but not worth docking a star. Lots of fun to play and decisions you make and things you say will help determine the outcome of certain missions and the ending of the game.

I'm not a huge gamer, so with that in mind: I would describe this game as a hybrid of Grand Theft Auto, Fall Out, and Red Dead Redemption. Throw in a dash of Game of Thrones as well. Those are all fun things, so imagine the cocktail they make and that's what this game is for me. Highly recommended and it seems to have a ton of content to keep you busy for a long time.

Definite purchase if you like action RPG's. Plenty of battle with different things and it scales the difficulty up slowly as to not get too difficult too fast ( on normal difficulty ). There are awesome places to go and see in this world and graphics are great. Battle is smooth and fun, but as the game progresses the menu system gets tedious because it gets so large. It has plenty of glitches and throws you out once in awhile. Play seems to get bogged down if played for long stretches. I will say I never lost important information or had repeat anything big. Overall, I definitely recommend this as it is a huge world to explore and well worth the time and effort.

I had been so bored with the RPG genre lately because nothing has really been released as of late. I played a little bit of the first to Witcher games and was not super impressed so I went into this game kind of hesitant. Boy was I wrong to be hesitant this game is amazing and has everything I need in an open world RPG to hold my time and give me enjoyment. If you love RPGs this is a must have for you!!!!

Great Game! The story is well done, the side missions are very fun! Craft lots of armor and weapons! Get lost in the wilderness or the a fun card game. Dont know why but the game is very addictive. Try collecting all the cards. Anyways this game is actually worth the money. To make this game even better they release free addons and missions. Love this game! Truly deserves to be the best game of the year.
